I just want to know if there is a way that I can open my text message "inbox" without haivng to open a new text message that I have. I used to have a droid. When I clicked on the message icon, it would open to the full inbox, just not the conversation with the new text message. I want to know if there is a way I can do this with my iPhone as well.

I am in UK and I am using my iPhone 4S IOS 5.1 to text my girlfriend who is visiting Finland She has a 3Gs with IOS 5.1. Problem is she is receiving those messages sent as texts (green) but NOT those messages sent as iMessages (blue) They seem to change format randomly. I don't get to choose the format. Is there a way I can make sure every message is sent as a text? (not an iMessage)

Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.

in the text message conversation view,there's only a soft sound alert when new messages are received.even when the screen is off, you get no popup preview or a regular notification sound whatsoever.the only way to keep getting the regular notification & previews is to quit the app each time you send out a text.often times when you are in the middle of something and are unable to focus on the phone itself for the conversation, you forget to quit the message app, then you are totally not aware there have been messages coming in because it only gives you a soft sound alert that's totally unable to hear when you're outside walking, or other similar scenarios
It's been bugging me for years, it's specially annoying when the other person I chat with isn't aware of this issue and ocassionally misses out my messages.i mean,if apple insists that to avoid this problem, the users MUST remember to quit the conversation RIGHT AFTER EVERY SINGLE LINE, this is just absolutely unrealistic.I now do it every time because I'm aware of the issue, but not the other people I have conversations with.I've had too many situations where I had to wait for a long time to receive response only to find out that the other person wasn't aware the new text messages, because it was simply too soft to hear, and completely no other sort of things to notify you with.so i wonder if there really isn't a way to change the notification behavior, cuz apparently it's impossible that I make everybody I send text to change their habits just for this.

how i can make the message text larger on my desire so it is easier to read ? a friend of mine has a wildfire and the message text was a lot bigger than it was on my desire.. also my phone keeps deleting all my messages about every 8 weeks, is this normal ? i do send a lot of texts and very rarely do i delete old messages, is it possibe to have your text message memory full?

View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen selecting a contact to send a message to, the drop down list auto fills with some of my contacts which start with the letters I am keying in, but it does not auto fill with all the relevant contacts, missing out most of the contacts which start with the letter or name I am keying in? E.g if I was sending to a contact called "Paul" Keying in "P" would only bring up a few of the contacts I have starting with "Paul" but no all of them Even if I continue to key in the full name the auto fill does not seem to find the exact same name which is in my contacts Is there any way to turn off this auto fill so you can manually select the contacts I wish to sent the message to?

It only happens with texts from him, no-one else. I've tried deleting our conversation but it makes no difference. It's getting so frustrating cos I have to keep asking him to text me again and a lot of the time I just get another 'cracked' text!

I have "secret" phone number so I't doesn't show to receiver at all, but I can send my number using *31# in front of actual number... So I have contacts that have two numbers with *31# and without.... But when sending txt message it tries to use this *31# number and text messages don't go anywhere... Is there anyway to change text message number within numbers in contacts... I have noticed that when I have two numbers without this *31# I can choose which number to use... but not with that..
