Lets say I'm on a call and someone texts me or emails me.. Is there a way to get the text message or email to make a sound while the call is in progress? And if so, how do I activate it?

I bought an unlocked Blackberry Curve off of eBay, put my AT&T SIM card in it, and it worked great for about two weeks. Then I ignorantly downloaded a "free theme" and about a week after this, my Blackberry started freezing whenever I would go to make a phone call, the screen just goes black and it freezes until the hourglass comes up and the phone turns back on in about two minutes. Also, if someone tries to call me, my phone will do the exact same thing and they will go straight to voicemail. I have removed all the applications from my phone and done my best to wipe the entire system, but it still freezes whenever I try to make phone calls. It has pretty much stopped freezing at any other times besides when I am attempting to make phonecalls now so there is a slight improvement. Is there any way I can redownload the operating software (even though the phone is unlocked) or what else would be advised that I do?

I can be in mid conversation ad then not hear back from them for like 30 to an hour and they think I'm ignoring them. The time stamp shows when they sent and when I received what do I do to stop this.

Anywho, he has something set up that when he gets a phone call and doesn't want to answer it he just hits ignore and has it set up that it will automatically send a text message to that number saying "i'm in a meeting I will call you back" is this possible to set up with a Blackberry Curve 8330 on Sprint? How do I customize the call notification to vibrate and the text message notification to sound at the same time for vibration mode? The vibration mode works fine for me (both call and message notifications vibrate only), but sound notification for text messages when I am in the middle of something. I am a new Android user and it seems that both settings cannot be done separately for the vibration mode.

As a fairly new X2 owner (I just switched from an X1 a few weeks ago), one thing that really bugs me is that when I'm on a call that I originate, the phone does not remain on the "call in progress" screen. Instead it goes back to the home screen and if I want to access any "call in progress" options, I have to pull down the notification shade.
Is there any way to change this? Do I have any options?
Anyone knows how to disable the dialer sound after you make the phone call? (say if u call a bank and you need to dial # to get to the next step, now the dialer makes sound and i can't figure it out how to turn it off). it wasn't like that before the Anna update.

My mini pro refuses to make a sound (it simply vibrates) whenever a text message comes in, even though it's not on silent and I've got the volume turned up all the way.I was curious as to if this has something to do with a padlock icon that has appeared in the right hand corner of the main display, next to the reception bars. View 7 Replies View RelatedEveryone wants to know how to conference two calls; my user wants to know how to take the second call and end the first call. Go figure.Her first Curve enabled her to choose, when a second call arrived, whether to put the first caller on hold or end the first call.
Her 8330 doesn't - it has no menu button choice for "Hold/End" in order to take the second call. Also, choosing the Send button appears to end the first call, but after ending the second call, the first call calls back!
What are we missing? Is it Sprint, is it the Curve, or is it us? How do you end the first call when a second call comes in?
I would like to replace the flashing red LED (new message notification) with a constant red LED. It's a bit annoying having to wait ~5 seconds to see whether it's flashing or not. Constant red light would be much faster.
In the profile options I can only choose between flashing and off.Is there a workaround for this or are there any 3rd party applications that could accomplish this?

Can I create sound effects (door bell, alarm clock, etc) on my blackberry then set it on a continuous loop? I want to set the sound effect then hide the blackberry until the service dog finds it while the sound is still going on.Is there an app that does that? or can I load the sound effect and somehow get the sound to be on a continuous loop?I don't want to spend too much time fiddling with this so the easier the solution the better.

My n97 was working perfect til i installed the latest updates, since then all i get when i try to make a call is "connection error" and a yellow triangle with an exclamation mark in it, I cant receive phone calls either it goes straight to voice mail...The phone was sent to a repair center where they fixed my charging problems, replaced the camera lens and never bothered with the "connection error". Problem is she is receiving those messages sent as texts (green) but NOT those messages sent as iMessages (blue) They seem to change format randomly. I don't get to choose the format.
