Mar 25, 2010My friend upgraded my sister's OS with v5.0.0.509 (bundle {18}, Platform 3.5.0.44) and I just discovered that is also wiped out all the Sample ringtones on the Device Memory. Anyone know where I can download that ringtone bundle, or transfer from my 8330 (although the device memory sample ringtones are "read only")? Or, do I have to reload an OS. If that's the case, any tips on websites with a v5. FYI: I'm using a Mac.

Jun 29, 2010I have three custom files I have created or saved and always used on all of my phones.I have these in the folder "Music" in iTunes, but I cannot figure out how to set them to their respective assignments.I have read the help file that says you have to "Buy" custom ringtones. Does that mean even mp3's that you already have like I do? How do I make these 3 work as Ringtone, Alarm and Alert on iPhone 4? NOTE: I don't actually have the phone yet and do not know how it interacts with iTunes, but I do have iTunes setup and music/movies loaded into it.

Email, and Social messaging are set to a 'silent' ringtone whilst Text messaging has a ringtone assigned to it. But I still get the standard ringtone notification for Email & Social messaging.

May 24, 2010I have 8330 and lately I haven't been getting my texts for hours 2 at most but idk why its doing that. I can be in mid conversation ad then not hear back from them for like 30 to an hour and they think I'm ignoring them. The time stamp shows when they sent and when I received what do I do to stop this.

Apr 3, 2010have a friend who just got a replacement 8330 because she wasnt getting a alert sound when a new message was coming in. we did a total replacement of all apps and settings of the old to the new phone and all was good. well today the same thing happened to the new phone. i suggested it was a bad app but she said she hasent down loaded anything (oh this started a month ago) well i know she has down loaded apps but bla bla bla. when she does a batt pull all alert sounds work but after a while this starts up again, any suggestions or has this happened to anybody?

Aug 5, 2010I have my Confirm Delete disabled in my email general settings and my email reconciliation settings for all my accounts set to delete emails on the device. Starting today, when I select more than one email, text, etc. to delete, it pops up the delete confirmation prompt. I pulled the battery and tried again. Still, the confirmation dialog pops up.If I delete individual messages, there is no dialog.

So, whenever someone sends an email to my professional account, it shows up on my BB, great. However, when I hit reply on my BB, the from address shows up as my gmail address, not the professional address I want it to show. Is there a way to fix this?

Mar 1, 2010Im not getting any sounds from anything on my phone. That includes: Phone calls...SMS...MMS....EMAIL...MUSIC...ALARM (Profile always on LOUD). Some days my phone will work and some days not. Ive seen some people say to just "Pull the battery" but that fixes it for the time being, doesnt solve the solution. Isn't the answer for everything! lol. My biggest concern is I use my alarm to get up of a morning on my BB, and now with profile set on "Loud" still doesn't ring. Is anyone having problems with this sence the OS 4.5 update? When I click on my songs...ALL SONGS...a message always pops up and says: (Error Playing: Device Media, Processor is busy). Now all of this has worked fine up till about 2 weeks ago. Thats what I dont understand, my update to 4.5 was over a month ago... And ive also gotten the message: Uncaught Exception, thread is not ready...something like that. I mean I love this phone but it has caused me a lot of problems! And when you pay this much for a phone, should not have to just settle with "Do a battery pull 3 times a day".

Mar 28, 2010Just started having this problem in the last week. My 8330 won't give me any of my new emails unless I "wake it up" by using the internet. The minute I surf somewhere it'll pop up every single email since the last time I used the net. So for example, I go to bed, and the next morning it won't be showing me any of the emails I received overnight (and I get several every night). If I use the internet to go to to a website, they all come through, bam bam bam.
Also, brand new problem. Just now I tried uploading some things to twitpic and they still haven't gone through. I sent two twitpic emails to my account over an hour ago. Both outgoing emails have clocks beside them (not marked delivered). Twitpic worked 10 hours ago... what is going on?

Mar 28, 2010Beginning at 4:29am this morning, (it seems that all messages stopped at 12:31am and then everything flooded in at once) all of my emails began coming in RED instead of black and they all started giving me alerts. Previously I had Profiles/Exceptions set up so only emails from certain people caused alerts and came in as red.I was able to fix the alerts by changing Level 1 messages to no alert on my "general" profile, but all the emails still come in RED. I have done a reset and a battery pull and nothing changed. How do I fix this??

Jul 8, 2010When I am on vacation I do not want to think about work, so I don't want to receive corporate email. I've Googled this topic a bit, and everyone keeps saying you can turn the data connection off, but I still want internet access for Facebook, Google Maps, etc. Turning the data connection off would basically be like shutting off my internet at home, when all I have to do is close Outlook on my company laptop and not open it again until I want to receive email. Is there a way to temporarily prevent email from being downloaded to the Blackberry, while still being able to use data for other services?

Feb 2, 2010I have a very big problem about 8310, as for a sudden I have lost my email application with no reason and I couldn't receive send email at all. I have contacted my service provider and they have helped me to check in many methods that would help to fix this even check my IEMI and Pin number in Canada and there was nothing wrong with it. Today I double checked in every application and I found I have no certificates details at all compare to the other BB.
I start to check this because it seems my provider doesnt recognize my emei and pin number. I have tried many times to delete email setting and reset. I couldn't even add the pin and emei number, it's always showned 'Invalid Pin and Emei' please contact your service device. Btw, I have been using it for 4 months only
