I am selling my blackberry 8330. I wiped the handheld, but when the person who is buying it from me went to activate it. my email address is still set up on that phone. How do I delete the email addresses so they don't receive my emails?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a 2 month old AT&T 8310. It currently has a corporate IT policy, and all of my contacts, emails etc. I want to wipe it clean so that it can be sold. Here is the procedure that a guy at the AT&T store gave me to remove the IT policy and wipe all the data. Before I try this, do you think it will work?

4) Wipe handheld
My curve 8310 that i got yrseterday keeps frezzing every 2 min it was on 02 and i had it unlocked to use on vodafone i have put the latest os on and tried the next one down but as soon as i put the phone down for longer then 1 min it will just frezze on the trackerball but i can press the caps lock and the num lock and they work .ive treid wipeing the phone on bbsak and then loading the os then doing the security wipe but it still frezzez up on me i cant think what else to do
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have multiple email addresses on my phone (Work, School (2), and Gmail). I have set my work email as the default under default services under advanced options. If I am in messages and I use the menu to compose a new email, the correct default email (work) is used.
However, if I am browsing my files, like a picture, and I use the menu to select send as email, it will attach it to a new email but it will be my Gmail address, not my default work address as the from address.
I have double checked and my work email is set as the default. Does anyone know how to fix this? This is not a battery pull problem either... It has been this was since I got the phone, and on my replacement as well. I reboot the phone often so its not the standard do a battery pull answer.
i want to know whether it is possible to configure e-mails after wiping out e-mail's ,contacts etc.., using security wipe.

I deleted:
Google Talk
Facebook
and maybe 1 other, but no core apps
No backup.
Any ideas?
Sometimes I get blank SMS messags there's no address or text. I have the Sprint 8330. Just was wondering if there's anyway to prevent that or what. Still a rookie with one. My pin is 30E9758E please fill free to add me.

I notice my BB still deletes some entries even tho I have it set to NEVER delete entries.I use Live.com (Hotmail) for my email if that makes a difference and I have about 4 or 5 different email accounts.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI just got a curve 8330 from a friend and had the service switched to it from my LG voyager today. Went to the Verizon store and they were unable to transfer my contacts. The guy told me that in options, because "wireless sync" says Not Available, he couldn't do it. I can't change that setting either.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI downloaded Blackberry Desktop Manager like the BB site said to do and backed up my address book and everything else on my phone. I was going to update my BB Curve 8330 software. I read the directions and followed them and after I backed up and it said the back up was successful I tried to update the software and it said that failed so I restored everything back onto my phone and guess what? Address book is gone! So far that's the only thing I can find that didn't restore but I'm still looking. Is there anything that I can do that I am not techno-savvy enough to have realized or are they just gone? If they're just gone then fine whatever I'm not going to freak out.

So, whenever someone sends an email to my professional account, it shows up on my BB, great. However, when I hit reply on my BB, the from address shows up as my gmail address, not the professional address I want it to show. Is there a way to fix this?
View 5 Replies View RelatedIm not getting any sounds from anything on my phone. That includes: Phone calls...SMS...MMS....EMAIL...MUSIC...ALARM (Profile always on LOUD). Some days my phone will work and some days not. Ive seen some people say to just "Pull the battery" but that fixes it for the time being, doesnt solve the solution. Isn't the answer for everything! lol. My biggest concern is I use my alarm to get up of a morning on my BB, and now with profile set on "Loud" still doesn't ring. Is anyone having problems with this sence the OS 4.5 update? When I click on my songs...ALL SONGS...a message always pops up and says: (Error Playing: Device Media, Processor is busy). Now all of this has worked fine up till about 2 weeks ago. Thats what I dont understand, my update to 4.5 was over a month ago... And ive also gotten the message: Uncaught Exception, thread is not ready...something like that. I mean I love this phone but it has caused me a lot of problems! And when you pay this much for a phone, should not have to just settle with "Do a battery pull 3 times a day".
View 14 Replies View RelatedJust started having this problem in the last week. My 8330 won't give me any of my new emails unless I "wake it up" by using the internet. The minute I surf somewhere it'll pop up every single email since the last time I used the net. So for example, I go to bed, and the next morning it won't be showing me any of the emails I received overnight (and I get several every night). If I use the internet to go to to a website, they all come through, bam bam bam.
Also, brand new problem. Just now I tried uploading some things to twitpic and they still haven't gone through. I sent two twitpic emails to my account over an hour ago. Both outgoing emails have clocks beside them (not marked delivered). Twitpic worked 10 hours ago... what is going on?
Does my email have to be set up on my bb inorder to send service books,using the email setup method.
View 6 Replies View RelatedBeginning at 4:29am this morning, (it seems that all messages stopped at 12:31am and then everything flooded in at once) all of my emails began coming in RED instead of black and they all started giving me alerts. Previously I had Profiles/Exceptions set up so only emails from certain people caused alerts and came in as red.I was able to fix the alerts by changing Level 1 messages to no alert on my "general" profile, but all the emails still come in RED. I have done a reset and a battery pull and nothing changed. How do I fix this??

I've Googled this topic a bit, and everyone keeps saying you can turn the data connection off, but I still want internet access for Facebook, Google Maps, etc. Turning the data connection off would basically be like shutting off my internet at home, when all I have to do is close Outlook on my company laptop and not open it again until I want to receive email. Is there a way to temporarily prevent email from being downloaded to the Blackberry, while still being able to use data for other services?

However, when I recieved the new phone I found I was unable to add my email address, or any other address for that matter, to the phone so I am now unable to actually recieve any emails whatsoever. When I attempt to do so, I get this message "Unable to log in. Please check your information and try again". I looked on the Blackberry support video for this and I'm missing about 3 or 4 screens out of the setup process. Rather than go from Create or add email address to agreeing terms, mine goes directly to asking for a user name and password and whilst I have a user name and password with Blackberry these don't work, despite being able to log in online with this same info. I've tried restarting the phone to see if this is a glitch but the problem remains.
