I gave my 8320 to my niece , however i have two email accounts and a tmo.blackberry. email email on the phone, she is not using a data plan how do i delete the accounts off the phone? I can not find the icon for setting up email? what do i do?

I got a new BB and transferred all my info from my 8320 which I'm giving to my son. Problem is I can't seem to delete the email accounts I transferred. I don't want to do a general wipe as some of the info on the phone already is useful for the new owner. I've hidden the icons for now but just want to delete them. When I go to email setup I'm not seeing the emails and all I get is an option to setup new accounts.

Messages - catchall for everything
Desktop email icon
2nd/personal email icon
However, I switched back to the Curve (8530) because of the keyboard, and now I don't have a primary desktop email icon. The only way to view work email is to use the messages icon where everything else goes as well. Is there any way to create or separate the two email accounts so I can view the work email separately?

The Nexus functions just fine so far, but I need to set the APN on it to be able to use the data functions, but I can't find out what the APN setting is on the Blackberry currently so I can enter it into the Nexus. How do you find out what the current APN setting is on the Blackberry Curve? found cellular1wap as the suggested APN but this doesn't work.

1- Whenever I go to the E-mail setup, it says "Checking For Updates"
2- Directs me to the Browser in order to download the update
3- Once I do the update, my phone just freezes and does not reboot after a long time. And even if it does reboot, the home page does not load I had to reinstall the OS several times and now I can't even set up any E-mail accounts because it just brings me back to the "Update".I need to be able to receive e-mails on my device.
Just got my 950 two days ago and unfortunately running into an issue with setting up a couple of email accounts.
I have six email addresses I track on the phone. Five of them are all on the same server but are different inboxes while the sixth is the Hotmail account from Microsoft.
Unfortunately two of the accounts on my personal server are not setting up. The phone tells me that it is synced by nothing is showing. I even submitted a test email from the phone that did show up on my desktop Outlook but does not show up on my phone.
I did a hard reset of the phone and still the exact same issue. I'm stumped as the other emails work just fine but for some reason these two inboxes are causing problems. They worked on my 920 and they work on Outlook desktop version. So what is the trick to get this working?
I have a question... and some have been partially answered by the "Similar threads feature" when creating this thread, + I have searched thru the FAQ, etc.. before creating this thread. And done some google searching, but I mainly run into enterprise account users posts, etc.. Mine are just MSN, and GMAIL.
I have multiple accounts that all forward to one GMail account. One of them is a @msn account which is setup to forward, but keep copy on server.
Right now I have my main GMail address setup in my blackberry. I also have the GMail App installed, but since email opened with it is not HTML, it's sort of worthless to me.
Anyway, I would like the ability to send to/reply to certain emails using the alternate account, that in all likelihood was sent to one of the alternate accounts.
How to go about adding the MSN account as a "SEND ONLY" account?
And also, how do I add the other GMail accounts that forward to my primary, so that they show up as an option to use to send FROM, but never receive from the account?
My Carrier is Sprint, but I don't think that makes much difference.
If I could get this setup, I would be very happy.
I have searched hi and low so i assume there is no way to set the default DIFFERENTLY for each email account i have (i have three). i know how to set the default for the entire device (options, device settings, advanced, default) but that sets the default for all three of my accounts the same, which forces we to use the pull down to change it. is there no way to have a different default for each account?
View 3 Replies View RelatedIn the past when I changed my BB I would login to Rogers BIS web site and click "Detect New Device" and the new BB would be detected. I would then have the service books pushed to the new BB.I recently changed to a BB Curve 9360 and logged into the on-line BIS. When I clicked on "Detect New Device" the new BB wasn't getting detected. When I went to the email set-up tool on the device, as expected my email accounts were not there. I added one email account which got added successfully. However, there was no way for me to associate my new BB with my existing BIS account. In essence, a new BIS account was created.
I had to call Rogers BlackBerry Technical Support and ask them to remove my old BB/Pin and add my new BB/Pin. As a result I had to validate all of my email accounts (and unfortunately delete and re-enter a couple email accounts because the email settings somehow changed).Unfortunately, the second time I switched my BB it seems like my BlackBerry ID profile was cleared by the BB technical support rep and I lost all my BBM contacts (and just my luck I had deleted my back-up a couple minutes prior).what's the proper method to associate a new BB with your BIS account and BlackBerry ID?
I want to find the Manage Internet Email icon that is in the setup menu, This icon is no there. I all ready use the function of "show all icon" and still is no there. What i can do? I have blackberry 8900 with ATT carrier, dont have blackberry plan, only have unlimited data plan.

If I try to exit this App, the phone freezes & I am unable to access it & have to shut down the phone. I always have to back out of this APP. I took it to a Verizon Wireless technician & they say they are unable to determine the problem.

I have them configured and working, but they are all under the standard mail app (white envelop with blue @). When I get a new message, this icon will show how many unread messages there are. But, it shows for all of my accounts. I'm trying to have separate apps/icons for each email address that'll show some type of "unread messages" notification on the icon itself. Came from a blackberry and i had 4 individual accounts setup, each would have a red star if there was an unread msg in that account. I tried the hotmail and the gmail apps but they don't seem to show anything like this either.

1) I was looking at my buddies phone, and his keyboard doesn't light up. Is there a setting somewhere? Or is it possible this its just not working properly? I've owned plenty of bb's but never ran into this before. So I'm thinking something is wrong with the phone.
2) Is there a way to toggle between 2 profiles? I know how to do it with other bb's, but I can't figure it out on his phone.

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy curve 8320 keeps rebooting randomly. I got it 2nd hand from a guy. It will reboot randomly, be it while running an app or just sitting still on the table. Even while recharging. I have tried everything from formatting my memory card to running on minimal apps added into my bb. I have also upgraded and downgraded the OS frm v4.5.0.124(which it came with) to .81 to .182.I haven't tried using a new battery,maybe that will help? or is it a hardware prob, which would cost alot to repair.=( Please help? It goes to blank(no light on), and the only way I can turn it back again is to take out the battery from the cell phone and put it back again.Now I can't even do the same thing and turn it on anymore!
