I just bought a blackberry 8320 and it is giving me an error "phone not allowed mm6" and it shows the SOS sign. Its brand new sealed in the box never been used. I called Rogers and it said this phone is not stolen. What could it be?
View 4 RepliesAfter I up dated soft wares for my cell phone, my cell phone started turns it off by itself. It goes to blank(no light on), and the only way I can turn it back again is to take out the battery from the cell phone and put it back again.Now I can't even do the same thing and turn it on anymore! When I plug my cell phone to the charger, it shows a battery sign with a kind of lighting picture on top of a batter pic in the middle of screen.What can I do?Is there any way I can talk to manufacture in the US to replace my cell phone after 1 year of warranty?

My T-mobile 8320's trackball has learned the new trick of only working when the phone is in bright light!The symptoms: If the keyboard light is on, the trackball doesn't work. If the keyboard light is off, the trackball works normally. The trackball light never goes off, but stays at least dim even when the screen is blanked and the keyboard light is off. In fact, it is on even when the phone is in the holster.The phone has never been abused, nor experienced water or anything.
I've done the battery pull to no avail, and played with the keyboard/trackball settings and the backlight settings with the same results.T-Mobile says to try a master reset. I'll do that after I figure out what data is on my phone that will need replacing.

1) I was looking at my buddies phone, and his keyboard doesn't light up. Is there a setting somewhere? Or is it possible this its just not working properly? I've owned plenty of bb's but never ran into this before. So I'm thinking something is wrong with the phone.
2) Is there a way to toggle between 2 profiles? I know how to do it with other bb's, but I can't figure it out on his phone.
want to ask,, what default programs do you leave on your bb. BTW im using BB 8320 with OS 4.5

View 14 Replies View Relatedmy curve 8320 keeps rebooting randomly. I got it 2nd hand from a guy. It will reboot randomly, be it while running an app or just sitting still on the table. Even while recharging. I have tried everything from formatting my memory card to running on minimal apps added into my bb. I have also upgraded and downgraded the OS frm v4.5.0.124(which it came with) to .81 to .182.I haven't tried using a new battery,maybe that will help? or is it a hardware prob, which would cost alot to repair.=( Please help? I really like my new curve 8320 other than the fact that it reboots randomly frequently. help!

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have a bb vurve 8320, and i've tried deleting apps, but they won't go completely away.I tried to download different apps like ubertwitter, and it has been saying "installing" for a full 24hrs now.I've deleted pictures, music, etc. i also have 2 other apps that say ready to install, but when i press the menu key and select install, nothing happens!!

I have many rigtones that i have made on my MC, I aslo understand the process of highlighting a contact in the address book & pushing the app button & selecting add custome ring tone. The problem is it gives me two options, (Device Memory & Preloaded Ring Tones) it doesn't allow me the option of searching the media card witch is where the rigtones that i want are stored. If I select edit contact, the option to assign ring tone is not there. Can anyone help?? (PS) I have searched the forums with no luck.

After holding the end button to turn it on, it says, battery drained, and it turns off.whats my problem? 2 different chargers have been used already, and so has the USB.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked t-mobile 8320 on at&t I can't connect to BIS and edge is not capitalized. I have a BIS data plan I can browse but no BIS stuff. I have loaded a new OS, have done multiple swipes, a have done multiple battery pulls, multiple host routing table registrations, have reentered my PIN and IMEI number at the att BIS login multiple times, have sent service books multiple times, and then just generally fulled around with the settings ALOT.I have switched my SIM card into someone elses phone which showed 'EDGE' and their SIM card into my phone which showed 'edge'.
Is there any hope for me? What can I do? What should I do? Also I want to thank BigbadWulf for the helpful OS installation instructions. I would link it but I'm a big newb and thus don't have the privilege.
I know I have been on this a lot lately, mostly because I was switching Blackberry's.I'm still on my 8320 but for some reason I can't set up my personal yahoo e-mail like it was on my old 8320.I'm kinda bad with directions lol, so if someone could help me and possibly break it down for me, it would be appreciated.

I've done search after search on my phone and it's only giving me the messages I've sent to that person and not their messages.
Is there a way to pull these messages or do I need some sort of software? I haven't done a backup for a few months since I only use it as a phone and for Facebook.Please tell me there is someway to pull these messages. I need to catch this perp now and report him to my pastor.
I have a Blackberry Curve 8320. Yesterday night, the "battery too low for radio use" sign appeared. I plugged it in for about an hour but the sign would not disappear so I did a battery pull. Radio turned back on, but now the phone will not charge. The lightning icon still shows up by the battery but it is stuck at 5%. Any suggestions?

After 2 months of perfectly working period with internet and all my mails 1 of the phones (mine) it s not working anymore, after contacted my provider VODAFONE ITALY and tried all the possible solutions(several reset, updates) it still not working as the provider said the pin seems to be busy in another country.

Well a few minutes ago the phone reset itself and I look at the screen and I believe it said JUM ERROR, I could be wrong with this but it was something like this. It said continue below it so I pressed the track ball and now when it gets to the home screen it's not reading any pictures, messages, or phone numbers. I pulled the battery out, pulled the sim card, and mem card out and put them back in. Everything seems fine and I just got the phone about a month ago due to my other one effing up. Is there a way to reset it with certain combo of buttons or anything?

Usually, I'll remove it and the trackball while the phone is off to clean the area when the trackball sticks.However today the ring popped off during my nervous habit and I touched the led while the phone was on. View 4 Replies View Relatedim having problems with my computer recognizing my blackberry 8330(boost mobile). the phone itself is connected to the computer properly and even when i go to the media manager it shows up. the problem is when i go to my computer( i am using vista btw) the computer doesn't exactly recognize the device, it just says removable disk (F now im not sure how but one time when i connected the phone to my computer a window appeared called "auto play" which gave me quick and easy access to my phone via different folders, but now when i connect the phone none of that happens. i would like to be able to connect my device to my computer and have that window (auto play) appear when i conenct my phone because it is easier for me to transfer my photo's/music etc.. how can i do this?

I recently upgraded to an android phone but really don't like it and it's to late to return it. So, my options are to go back to my 8330 which is 2 years old and hope it makes it the next 2 years of our contract or stay with the Android that annoys the heck out of me. Is it possible to take the SD card out of the android and put it in the BB so I don't have to deal with activation fee's? I'm thinking that it's not possible but a friend insists that I can do it.

For some reason I can't get my Curve to connect to the the desktop manager. I have installed and uninstalled the Manager 3x, tried to different computers and 3 different USB cables and still nothing. When I plug the phone into the PC it shows the charging icon for about 5 seconds then it disappears and when I try to access it with the DM it cant find the PIN. I checked to make sure that the DM was set to recognize the USB. The last time I use the DM was back in November and everything was fine, but now nothing wants to work.

I finally got around to ordering a new battery for it because she kept the one it came with, and the battery showed up saturday.I put the new battery in the phone turned it on and nothing. So i plugged it into the wall charger and all i got was the red LED for 2-5 seconds and then nothing. does the same thing when you plug it into the USB.Is this a bad battery or is the phone a total loss? im sad because i was so excited to use my new phone and i still cant.
