BB Curve 83xx :: 8320 Assigning Ring Tone From MC

I have the 8320 & would like to assign ringtone for different contacts. I have many rigtones that i have made on my MC, I aslo understand the process of highlighting a contact in the address book & pushing the app button & selecting add custome ring tone. The problem is it gives me two options, (Device Memory & Preloaded Ring Tones) it doesn't allow me the option of searching the media card witch is where the rigtones that i want are stored. If I select edit contact, the option to assign ring tone is not there. Can anyone help?? (PS) I have searched the forums with no luck.

I already configure the incoming calls ring of my blackberry 8320 and it doesnt ring at all, i did activate the speakerphone and nothing, just the heaset is working and also vibrate, but not ringtones when somebady is callling me.

I have had X6 for about a week now, previous phone was 5530 Illuvial. Now I am having a problem setting songs as ring tones, my previous phone was easy select song goto options, set as ring tone done. Now unless I am being thick I just cant seem to do this new X6 as east as that as far as I can tell you have to go via settings...Personal...Profiles...Options... Personalize.. Ringing Tone. Then yo have to scroll the WHOLE SONG LIST.
Also I have downloaded songs via Nokia and I can't seem to use those as a set ring tone(when I eventally find them!!!) says thay are locked. Somebody help me it is driving me up the flippin wall.

has a tmobile 8320.
1) I was looking at my buddies phone, and his keyboard doesn't light up. Is there a setting somewhere? Or is it possible this its just not working properly? I've owned plenty of bb's but never ran into this before. So I'm thinking something is wrong with the phone.
2) Is there a way to toggle between 2 profiles? I know how to do it with other bb's, but I can't figure it out on his phone.

I just bought a blackberry 8320 and it is giving me an error "phone not allowed mm6" and it shows the SOS sign. Its brand new sealed in the box never been used. I called Rogers and it said this phone is not stolen. What could it be?

my curve 8320 keeps rebooting randomly. I got it 2nd hand from a guy. It will reboot randomly, be it while running an app or just sitting still on the table. Even while recharging. I have tried everything from formatting my memory card to running on minimal apps added into my bb. I have also upgraded and downgraded the OS frm v4.5.0.124(which it came with) to .81 to .182.I haven't tried using a new battery,maybe that will help? or is it a hardware prob, which would cost alot to repair.=( Please help? I really like my new curve 8320 other than the fact that it reboots randomly frequently. help!

After I up dated soft wares for my cell phone, my cell phone started turns it off by itself. It goes to blank(no light on), and the only way I can turn it back again is to take out the battery from the cell phone and put it back again.Now I can't even do the same thing and turn it on anymore! When I plug my cell phone to the charger, it shows a battery sign with a kind of lighting picture on top of a batter pic in the middle of screen.What can I do?Is there any way I can talk to manufacture in the US to replace my cell phone after 1 year of warranty?

I have a bb vurve 8320, and i've tried deleting apps, but they won't go completely away.I tried to download different apps like ubertwitter, and it has been saying "installing" for a full 24hrs now.I've deleted pictures, music, etc. i also have 2 other apps that say ready to install, but when i press the menu key and select install, nothing happens!!

yesterday, my 8320 was at the point where it had no battery life for radio use.Now the phone just completely turned off. Its been on charge for a good 10-15min. After holding the end button to turn it on, it says, battery drained, and it turns off.whats my problem? 2 different chargers have been used already, and so has the USB.

I have an unlocked t-mobile 8320 on at&t I can't connect to BIS and edge is not capitalized. I have a BIS data plan I can browse but no BIS stuff. I have loaded a new OS, have done multiple swipes, a have done multiple battery pulls, multiple host routing table registrations, have reentered my PIN and IMEI number at the att BIS login multiple times, have sent service books multiple times, and then just generally fulled around with the settings ALOT.I have switched my SIM card into someone elses phone which showed 'EDGE' and their SIM card into my phone which showed 'edge'.
Is there any hope for me? What can I do? What should I do? Also I want to thank BigbadWulf for the helpful OS installation instructions. I would link it but I'm a big newb and thus don't have the privilege.

I couldn't find what I was looking for searching, so sorry for the new thread..I need to retrieve deleted text messages from the past month from one person in particular. I've done search after search on my phone and it's only giving me the messages I've sent to that person and not their messages.
Is there a way to pull these messages or do I need some sort of software? I haven't done a backup for a few months since I only use it as a phone and for Facebook.Please tell me there is someway to pull these messages. I need to catch this perp now and report him to my pastor.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8320. Yesterday night, the "battery too low for radio use" sign appeared. I plugged it in for about an hour but the sign would not disappear so I did a battery pull. Radio turned back on, but now the phone will not charge. The lightning icon still shows up by the battery but it is stuck at 5%. Any suggestions?

I've looked around and haven't seen this specific problem. My T-mobile 8320's trackball has learned the new trick of only working when the phone is in bright light!The symptoms: If the keyboard light is on, the trackball doesn't work. If the keyboard light is off, the trackball works normally. The trackball light never goes off, but stays at least dim even when the screen is blanked and the keyboard light is off. In fact, it is on even when the phone is in the holster.The phone has never been abused, nor experienced water or anything.
I've done the battery pull to no avail, and played with the keyboard/trackball settings and the backlight settings with the same results.T-Mobile says to try a master reset. I'll do that after I figure out what data is on my phone that will need replacing.

So the 'Normal' profile of my 9700 (Phone) is set up to play ALWAYS simply because it is on my desk in the office, it is not in the holster, and I want to hear when it rings.
I also have a ring tone that I downloaded (not the default).I noticed that when the phone is in the holster and it rings, as soon as I take it out from the holster the ring tonne changes from the one I set up to the default AT&T ring tone.

This is a new problem that I have been having. It is with a blackberry curve. I will make an outgoing call and it will say connected, but there is no ring. When the person i am calling picks up i can hear them. I am not sure if I switched a setting?

We have 3 of these phones in our family as well as 1 international version.All have the latest software updates as I just checked after reading the posts here.When set to ring AND vibrate, they ONLY vibrate 2x and then begin to ring ONLY.How to get them to ring AND vibrate?I have volume set to high and with the other settings, I fully expect 'vibrate and tone' but I cannot make it happen.

I have the N86 8MP, I can't fault the phone other than the ring tone problem that I have tried to live with from when I got the phone in December. I don't know if anybody else has had this problem or its just me, but when my phone rings the ring tone slows down like a broken record and then speeds up and slows down again. Whatever I chose to be my ring tone either one from the phone or one I have put on it, it still has this problem. The funny thing is you can play the songs or ring tone's and they play normaly its only when you set them as a ring tone does the problem occur.
