I have a Blackberry Curve 8320. Yesterday night, the "battery too low for radio use" sign appeared. I plugged it in for about an hour but the sign would not disappear so I did a battery pull. Radio turned back on, but now the phone will not charge. The lightning icon still shows up by the battery but it is stuck at 5%. Any suggestions?

1) I was looking at my buddies phone, and his keyboard doesn't light up. Is there a setting somewhere? Or is it possible this its just not working properly? I've owned plenty of bb's but never ran into this before. So I'm thinking something is wrong with the phone.
2) Is there a way to toggle between 2 profiles? I know how to do it with other bb's, but I can't figure it out on his phone.
want to ask,, what default programs do you leave on your bb. BTW im using BB 8320 with OS 4.5

View 4 Replies View Relatedmy curve 8320 keeps rebooting randomly. I got it 2nd hand from a guy. It will reboot randomly, be it while running an app or just sitting still on the table. Even while recharging. I have tried everything from formatting my memory card to running on minimal apps added into my bb. I have also upgraded and downgraded the OS frm v4.5.0.124(which it came with) to .81 to .182.I haven't tried using a new battery,maybe that will help? or is it a hardware prob, which would cost alot to repair.=( Please help? I really like my new curve 8320 other than the fact that it reboots randomly frequently. help!

It goes to blank(no light on), and the only way I can turn it back again is to take out the battery from the cell phone and put it back again.Now I can't even do the same thing and turn it on anymore! When I plug my cell phone to the charger, it shows a battery sign with a kind of lighting picture on top of a batter pic in the middle of screen.What can I do?Is there any way I can talk to manufacture in the US to replace my cell phone after 1 year of warranty?

I have many rigtones that i have made on my MC, I aslo understand the process of highlighting a contact in the address book & pushing the app button & selecting add custome ring tone. The problem is it gives me two options, (Device Memory & Preloaded Ring Tones) it doesn't allow me the option of searching the media card witch is where the rigtones that i want are stored. If I select edit contact, the option to assign ring tone is not there. Can anyone help?? (PS) I have searched the forums with no luck.

After holding the end button to turn it on, it says, battery drained, and it turns off.whats my problem? 2 different chargers have been used already, and so has the USB.
View 11 Replies View RelatedI have an unlocked t-mobile 8320 on at&t I can't connect to BIS and edge is not capitalized. I have a BIS data plan I can browse but no BIS stuff. I have loaded a new OS, have done multiple swipes, a have done multiple battery pulls, multiple host routing table registrations, have reentered my PIN and IMEI number at the att BIS login multiple times, have sent service books multiple times, and then just generally fulled around with the settings ALOT.I have switched my SIM card into someone elses phone which showed 'EDGE' and their SIM card into my phone which showed 'edge'.
Is there any hope for me? What can I do? What should I do? Also I want to thank BigbadWulf for the helpful OS installation instructions. I would link it but I'm a big newb and thus don't have the privilege.
I know I have been on this a lot lately, mostly because I was switching Blackberry's.I'm still on my 8320 but for some reason I can't set up my personal yahoo e-mail like it was on my old 8320.I'm kinda bad with directions lol, so if someone could help me and possibly break it down for me, it would be appreciated.

I've done search after search on my phone and it's only giving me the messages I've sent to that person and not their messages.
Is there a way to pull these messages or do I need some sort of software? I haven't done a backup for a few months since I only use it as a phone and for Facebook.Please tell me there is someway to pull these messages. I need to catch this perp now and report him to my pastor.

My T-mobile 8320's trackball has learned the new trick of only working when the phone is in bright light!The symptoms: If the keyboard light is on, the trackball doesn't work. If the keyboard light is off, the trackball works normally. The trackball light never goes off, but stays at least dim even when the screen is blanked and the keyboard light is off. In fact, it is on even when the phone is in the holster.The phone has never been abused, nor experienced water or anything.
I've done the battery pull to no avail, and played with the keyboard/trackball settings and the backlight settings with the same results.T-Mobile says to try a master reset. I'll do that after I figure out what data is on my phone that will need replacing.
I gave my 8320 to my niece , however i have two email accounts and a tmo.blackberry. email email on the phone, she is not using a data plan how do i delete the accounts off the phone? I can not find the icon for setting up email? what do i do?

I know it's not a problem with my charger because I was able to charge my old razr with the charger. And i've tried numerous wall outlets, so it's not the outlet I was using either.
My phone charges when I plug it into the computer, so i'm not sure whats going on. I just got this phone a few months ago after having problems with my oldd blackberry.
I don't want to have to get rid of my bb, because for the most part I love it, so has anyone had to deal with this? And maybe fixed it without having to spend money?!
I'm wanting to leave my AC wall charger at home as I don't want to lose it. USB cables are a dime a dozen so I figure I can take the mini USB cable with me and no biggie if I lose it. My question is, can I plug my 8330 into any computer via the mini USB cable and charge it? don't want to sync or anything, just charge.

The Mobile network comes up as off.

I plugged my 8330 in my computer to charge and it just shut off immediately.... now i cant get it to turn on... the red led comes on and then shuts off, the screen flashes white for a moment, then the led comes on again, and it repeats this cycle... it has turned on once since its been doing this and i tried to plug it into my computer to back it up, but it just shut off again and its been doing the cycle ever since. i already have a new phone i just need the numbers and stuff from my old one.... if anyone knows what might be happening please help me out.... i cant plug in the phone because when i do it shuts off.... im going to have to back it up using bluetooth. btw i can completely dissasemble the phone if necessary, its just a pile of junk right now anyway... all i want is my phone numbers from it so anyway u think i might be able to get it to turn, and yes... i have tried pulling the battery

Here's a chronology of events.First time:I'd been messing with my phone all night on the second day I got the phone, setting up screens and what not and it just died. I plugged it into the charger and nothing for a few minutes and then the LED turned on and was white. It wouldn't start or go into charging mode. I removed the battery several times and left it out for several minutes. After leaving it plugged in for a few minutes, the LED turned green but still no startup or charging mode. After several more minutes, it finally went into charge mode and the LED turned orange and was 0%! Another 10 minutes and it was 15% and booted fine. I was using a battery widget to have %battery in the notifications. It had stopped working and was stuck at 50% (I was really impressed with battery life until it died). I was using both the Circle Battery widget and Battery Monitor Widget.
Did a factory reset and changed battery widgets after the first time above. Used it for two more days without charging issue.Second time:This time, I did get a low battery notice at 20% and I plugged into a USB port but nothing. I then plugged into a wall outlet and nothing. I tried multiple cables/ports/outlets and the phone eventually died before I could get it to charge. It took another 45 minutes to get it charging again with the battery dead. It charged to 100% yet the white LED would not go out with the phone off. I was using the Battery Monitor Widget and Battery Notifier (big text) widget.I took the phone back to Best Buy thinking it might be a bad battery or bad phone and they provided an full exchangehird time:his was within a half hour of getting the new phone, I plugged it into my computer USB and it wouldn't charge. I don't believe I had put any battery widgets back on but I may be mistaken. I plugged it into the wall outlet and it wouldn't charge. I rebooted the phone and it charged.
I bought this phone off a freind so obviously I don't have the original charger, but its still the usb charger including the wall part.... the battery is now dead (through usage) and when i plug it into the wall i got nothin. The lil white light on the side comes on when i plug it into the pc but it doesnt appear to be charging there either...Now I understand there's something about USB devices starting at 100mA untill it requests more power but mine is still only at 100mA. I'm thinking its not charging cause its not requesting more power
