IPhone :: Set Sounds For Ringtone Alarm And Email / Message On IP4?
Jun 29, 2010
I have three custom files I have created or saved and always used on all of my phones.I have these in the folder "Music" in iTunes, but I cannot figure out how to set them to their respective assignments.I have read the help file that says you have to "Buy" custom ringtones. Does that mean even mp3's that you already have like I do? How do I make these 3 work as Ringtone, Alarm and Alert on iPhone 4? NOTE: I don't actually have the phone yet and do not know how it interacts with iTunes, but I do have iTunes setup and music/movies loaded into it.
i bought a ringtone from ITunes on my Iphone 4s but can't find it in the sounds. When I plug the phone into my PC the ringtone shows but a bit greyed out?
I'm trying to set up my Defy so that only text massaging gives an audible notification.
Email, and Social messaging are set to a 'silent' ringtone whilst Text messaging has a ringtone assigned to it. But I still get the standard ringtone notification for Email & Social messaging.
my iphone has nosound no alarm sound, no ringtone, no voice when i play video no voice at allbut i can make calls and hears the person on the line clearly
My iphone has lost Audio and Audible Click sounds when receiving Calls / Messages etc. Though the ringer volume is at Max, no sound is emanating from the device. What could be the reason ?
My phone will vibrate, but does not audibly ring. The silent switch is not set, If i go into the settings menu, the ringer menu files are missing.
All other sounds work flawlessly, music plays, keyboard clicks away and voicemail, and text alerts come through, it's just the ringer that's problematic.
Whenever i receive a text message, a ringtone then text tone sounds. But when i go into 'Settings > Sounds > Text Tones' it shows i have selected one text tone and one ringtone. The ringtone it shows i have selected is not the one that plays when i receive a message, how to remove the ringtones from my text messages all together!...Iphone 5C. IOS 7.1.2
In order not to wake up my son I set my phone with volume 1 for phone and apps; this seems to work for everything but Alarm, which always sounds like if it was set at full volume.
I've recently encountered a problem with my HTC One S in that it will not recognize any of my music, notification and alarm sounds at all. I've connected it to my PC to verify that the music is indeed in the music folder, but nothing comes up.
I'm trying to silence just the ringtone but when ever I do that on the sound menu it silences all other noises such as notifications and system sounds. Is there any way I can just make it to silence the ringtone but leave all the other sounds? Besides just using a silent ringtone?
I just bought my Samsung galaxy s6 edge 5 days ago it's been working fine up until today. When I received a text message it didn't make the sound so I thought my phone was on vibrate or silent but it wasn't so then I went to settings and checked my notification setting and when I clicked the sound it didn't make a sound. So then I checked if I could hear the ringtone and I also couldn't hear. Mind you the volume is all the way up. So I decided to restart my phone and the sound worked gain but after a while the sound went away again and idk what is causing it.
I have a Nexus 6 running Android Marshmallow, though this was happening with Lollipop too. Randomly, my default ring tone, messenger notification, or gmail notification will change, either to no tone, or just a single repeating beep. When I check the settings, the selected sound ends up being a 5 digit number. For example, my messenger tone is now 53918, no sound plays. Annoyingly for messanger, it will change the notification for all my conversations to 53918. So even if I change the default, all active conversations keep the "number sound."
I recently upgraded from the S3 to the S5. It seems that the alarm volume and the ringtone volume are directly linked. As in, if my ringtone is set to mute, my alarm wont sound.
I haven't been able to figure out a way to bypass this. I'd like to have my alarm sound even when the ringtone is set to mute or vibrate.
I have noticed that my ringtones and alarms play at a lower quality than they did before. My first thought was that my speakers were damaged and affecting the sound quality, but when I play music and even my ringtones in the media player the quality is as fine as ever. However the same ringtones, when played automatically either as an alarm or ringtone have a noticeably lower quality
My previous Nokia 9500 and E90 both played ringtone and alarm tones from main phone speakers even when connected to a bluetooth headset, but the N900 seems to re-direct all sounds exclusively to the headset. This is a problem since there are times when I remove the headset and then I miss calls and alarms unless I disconnect the bluetooth headset each time. It is not convenient to have to repeatedly connect and disconnect the bluetooth device. Is there any hope that this is not the intended functional design, and that it may be changed in the future? Currently, the N900 is not proving to be useful for me as a telephone.
I have had a problem with texts not always going off for atleast a month now, sometimes a battery pull works, other times not. Now my alarm isn't going off. Again it's not always and battery pulls only sometimes fix the issue. I have checked the options for the alarm and text and when I click 'try it' it says 'invalid ring tone selected' which makes no sense, I have changed it from the phone's default tones and to music stored on my phone which I know plays in the music player and neither works.
Is it possible to use my mp3s on the micro sd as a ringtone/alarm signal? I have followed the guide on this site (menu>settings>sound&alerts>ringtones) and this brings me to a music folder containing 2 folders (ringtones & my radio recs) but no mp3s. Do i need to put my music into the ringtones folders?
My phone got updated to 2.3.5 and sense UI 3 yesterday and I face this problem where I'd be listening to music, playing games and hearing the phone ring when suddenly it would go dumb and I can't hear anything. This happens with no error message or notification. The phone think it's playing media and allows me to adjust the media volume but there's no sound (speaker or earphones). I have to restart the phone every time this happens but the problem keeps happening randomly.
I've had my E72 since July '10 and everything's been fine, but recently something rather odd happened. I don't know whether it would be connected to the problem in the title of this thread, but I woke up yesterday - after leaving my phone on, as I always do, and it was pretty much fully charged - and the battery was drained, and my recently dialled/received calls had disappeared. As strange as that was, I dealt with it because it wasn't a huge deal. However, I have since discovered something else.
I changed my alarm ringtone from one of the many ones I have manually put on my phone to off, so I would just be woken by a vibration. Upon trying to put it back to my custom tone, as I have done hundreds of times, I've discovered that all of the songs that I've manually put on my phone don't come up on the list of ringtones available for my alarm, which I find odd. Only the default/preset ones are available.
I quite liked my alarm tone, it was the song used to wake up the characters in Inception!
I am having trouble with the sounds on my phone. It won't make a noise when I am receiving a call, or play music when the alarm is going off. Have checked all settings I can think of that might affect it!Have tired numerous reboots which either dont work at all or the problem soon starts again!
My fone is not jailbroken & most of you've toldme that unless some programer fellas crack the new 3.1.3fw im outta luck so how can I change the email & txt notification sounds on my 3gs 3.1.3FW.
