I am having trouble with the sounds on my phone. It won't make a noise when I am receiving a call, or play music when the alarm is going off. Have checked all settings I can think of that might affect it!Have tired numerous reboots which either dont work at all or the problem soon starts again!
View 3 RepliesRecently the Ring tones and alerts sounds have stopped making any noise. I checked to make sure they were set correctly and they are. I also took the battery out and back in to reset it.

View 1 Replies View Related1. I can't disconnect calls. I generally happens when I'm on back to back calls. The phone becomes unresponsive for about 10~15 seconds before you could do anything with it.
2. When I'm listening to music and someone calls me, I hear a sharp noise when phone call overlaps music. Once I disconnect the call, the volume in the headsets remains fixed, you can't reduce or increase the volume. The solution here is to remove the headset from phone and plug them back in. If that doesn't work then re-start the phone!
In the near future is there gona be an app available for the touchscreen to vibrate when you touch it or make a noise?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the following Problem on my 9810 with OS 7.1 (but it happend with 7.0 as well).As soon as I perform a call, the handset has a calm flickering noise in the background. Every click of this noise is about half (or less) second long.The noise dissapears, if I switch to the loudspeaker, use BT headset or the cable headset.I first thought, that is is a problem with the headphonejack, as the phone for some reason could think, I am still in headphone mode. Therefore I tried to stick the headphonejack in the plug an d twist an turn an bit, in order to get the problem solved. But it did not.
Further I could find out, that the flickereing noise seems to be parallel with the flickering of the proximity sensor, but I am not sure about this. But I think, that maybe the on and of of the proximity sensor produces the noise.Does anyboday have an idea how I can get rif of this, since it is very, very anyoing.
I upgraded to .607 and everything works alright except that my alarm will not make noise when it goes off. It will vibrate, the pop up comes up, but it will not play reveille, even if I put it on the loud profile.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have just got my N5800 but one thing is driving me crazy - it randomly makes a "ching ching" noise and its very irritating - its just done it twice while I am typing this up. Is there some application that I have got open (ie checked and cant see any) or is there some kind of alert that I have forgot to turn off - either way its doing my head in. The alrm function seems to do what ever it wants, so far it will either got off on time or 3 mins late or just not at all - am I missing something ? Surely the alarm function cant be that complicated to set and get right?

I want to say what I notice is when I'm getting the ring back while waiting for someone to pick up is the "only" time I hear it. The audio in calls seems to be ok. It's sounds like a weak signal or interference. As far as I know (though I use my phone more for data than voice).I haven't noticed anything horrible as far as reception/call audio in calls, aside from when calling my mom, but I think that's her (she's famous for leaning on the mic or mumbling and trailing off). View 3 Replies View RelatedI had just got done texting my girlfriend, and so I set my phone in my pocket like usual. 5 minutes later I took it back out and it just didnt turn back on, I tried everything to fix it. I tried checking if it was the battery and it wasnt, I tried rebooting it and it didnt work either. I know its not the screen because it would at least vibrate or make noise or light up but the only thing that lights up is a lil green light at the corner when I plug it to charge.

does your nokia 808 make a little noise if you shake it? I dropped mine accidentally and it doesnīt have any physical marks and it works well but after dropping it I shook it to check it and could hear a little noise. maybe itīs normal and it has nothing to do with the fall.

I haven't been able to figure out a way to bypass this. I'd like to have my alarm sound even when the ringtone is set to mute or vibrate.

I have noticed that my ringtones and alarms play at a lower quality than they did before.My first thought was that my speakers were damaged and affecting the sound quality, but when I play music and even my ringtones in the media player the quality is as fine as ever. However the same ringtones, when played automatically either as an alarm or ringtone have a noticeably lower quality

View 6 Replies View RelatedOn several occassions, I've heard my iPhone 4S - while locked and set down flat -- make a sound that is similar to coins rattling or a piece of glass breaking. I checked all my alert sounds and no sound like that is even an option. When I pick up the phone and unlock it after, everything is fine and there's no message displaying.

My previous Nokia 9500 and E90 both played ringtone and alarm tones from main phone speakers even when connected to a bluetooth headset, but the N900 seems to re-direct all sounds exclusively to the headset.This is a problem since there are times when I remove the headset and then I miss calls and alarms unless I disconnect the bluetooth headset each time. It is not convenient to have to repeatedly connect and disconnect the bluetooth device.Is there any hope that this is not the intended functional design, and that it may be changed in the future? Currently, the N900 is not proving to be useful for me as a telephone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have had a problem with texts not always going off for atleast a month now, sometimes a battery pull works, other times not. Now my alarm isn't going off. Again it's not always and battery pulls only sometimes fix the issue. I have checked the options for the alarm and text and when I click 'try it' it says 'invalid ring tone selected' which makes no sense, I have changed it from the phone's default tones and to music stored on my phone which I know plays in the music player and neither works.

Does that mean even mp3's that you already have like I do? How do I make these 3 work as Ringtone, Alarm and Alert on iPhone 4? NOTE: I don't actually have the phone yet and do not know how it interacts with iTunes, but I do have iTunes setup and music/movies loaded into it.
