View 3 RepliesI have noticed that my ringtones and alarms play at a lower quality than they did before. My first thought was that my speakers were damaged and affecting the sound quality, but when I play music and even my ringtones in the media player the quality is as fine as ever. However the same ringtones, when played automatically either as an alarm or ringtone have a noticeably lower quality
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had a problem with texts not always going off for atleast a month now, sometimes a battery pull works, other times not. Now my alarm isn't going off. Again it's not always and battery pulls only sometimes fix the issue. I have checked the options for the alarm and text and when I click 'try it' it says 'invalid ring tone selected' which makes no sense, I have changed it from the phone's default tones and to music stored on my phone which I know plays in the music player and neither works.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI recently upgraded from the S3 to the S5. It seems that the alarm volume and the ringtone volume are directly linked. As in, if my ringtone is set to mute, my alarm wont sound.
I haven't been able to figure out a way to bypass this. I'd like to have my alarm sound even when the ringtone is set to mute or vibrate.
my iphone has nosound no alarm sound, no ringtone, no voice when i play video no voice at allbut i can make calls and hears the person on the line clearly

How can I transfer a alarm ringtone from a laptop to my xperia ray (and vice versa)?
View 5 Replies View RelatedMy previous Nokia 9500 and E90 both played ringtone and alarm tones from main phone speakers even when connected to a bluetooth headset, but the N900 seems to re-direct all sounds exclusively to the headset. This is a problem since there are times when I remove the headset and then I miss calls and alarms unless I disconnect the bluetooth headset each time. It is not convenient to have to repeatedly connect and disconnect the bluetooth device. Is there any hope that this is not the intended functional design, and that it may be changed in the future? Currently, the N900 is not proving to be useful for me as a telephone.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIs it possible to use my mp3s on the micro sd as a ringtone/alarm signal? I have followed the guide on this site (menu>settings>sound&alerts>ringtones) and this brings me to a music folder containing 2 folders (ringtones & my radio recs) but no mp3s. Do i need to put my music into the ringtones folders?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have three custom files I have created or saved and always used on all of my phones.I have these in the folder "Music" in iTunes, but I cannot figure out how to set them to their respective assignments.I have read the help file that says you have to "Buy" custom ringtones. Does that mean even mp3's that you already have like I do? How do I make these 3 work as Ringtone, Alarm and Alert on iPhone 4? NOTE: I don't actually have the phone yet and do not know how it interacts with iTunes, but I do have iTunes setup and music/movies loaded into it.
View 9 Replies View RelatedMy phone got updated to 2.3.5 and sense UI 3 yesterday and I face this problem where I'd be listening to music, playing games and hearing the phone ring when suddenly it would go dumb and I can't hear anything. This happens with no error message or notification. The phone think it's playing media and allows me to adjust the media volume but there's no sound (speaker or earphones). I have to restart the phone every time this happens but the problem keeps happening randomly.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI've had my E72 since July '10 and everything's been fine, but recently something rather odd happened. I don't know whether it would be connected to the problem in the title of this thread, but I woke up yesterday - after leaving my phone on, as I always do, and it was pretty much fully charged - and the battery was drained, and my recently dialled/received calls had disappeared. As strange as that was, I dealt with it because it wasn't a huge deal. However, I have since discovered something else.
I changed my alarm ringtone from one of the many ones I have manually put on my phone to off, so I would just be woken by a vibration. Upon trying to put it back to my custom tone, as I have done hundreds of times, I've discovered that all of the songs that I've manually put on my phone don't come up on the list of ringtones available for my alarm, which I find odd. Only the default/preset ones are available.
I quite liked my alarm tone, it was the song used to wake up the characters in Inception!
I am having trouble with the sounds on my phone. It won't make a noise when I am receiving a call, or play music when the alarm is going off. Have checked all settings I can think of that might affect it!Have tired numerous reboots which either dont work at all or the problem soon starts again!
View 3 Replies View RelatedAny ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why. This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedSuddenly my ring tone does not function when a call comes in. I have an I phone 4 and it worked fine up until yesterday. I have checked the airplane mode (off) as I just came back from Mexico. I have checked the volume (maximum) I have checked the "do not disturb" (off). What am I missing? I am on version 7.1.2

View 2 Replies View RelatedIt seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.
View 5 Replies View RelatedLumia 900 failed to wake me up this morning. The alarm just did not sound at all.
- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
am completely new here and completely new to the smart phone. It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. Is there a way to activate this so that it will work, or does the phone have to be switched on to use this facility
View 3 Replies View Relatedset up some type of alarm, it's not the regular clock alarm nor the calendar alarm, to go off at 6:00 am. This alarm can't be turn off at all. I press and hold the start botton, turn off the cell, and turn it back on. Still the phone alarm continues to beep. I can't remember how or where I programmed this alarm to reset it back off. The only way I can turn it off is by removing the battery.

It would have been okay for me to set all three screens back to their original configuration but unfortunately, I can't edit the main homescreen. I can edit the two additional screens but NOT the main (1st) homescreen. It just says homescreen is full! Last thing I installed was the Xmas theme Rugge from the Nokia store.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI am using a BB Curve 8520, black.I had initially set the alarm for all weekdays. But now I don't want the alarm anymore. The only option I have in this BB in the clock tab is Weekdays ON / OFF [blue in color in the centre of the clock].I do not have any third option of OFF, irrespective of weekdays/weekends.But it still rings sometimes though being OFF for the weekdays & the alarm time in red still shows & the tiny alarm/clock icon even shows on the desktop.
I've done options of keeping the alarm silent & all that. But it does vibrate sometimes. Sometimes the icon disappears & it comes back automatically. How do I DISABLE this alarm?? Just off it types, like we do in other phones!
Bought a used Curve with no instruction manual. Sounds very echoey and hard to hear others/for others to hear me, almost like a speakerphone but it isn't. Also, how do I set profile for alarm clock notification only?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a recurring alarm appearing every day until forever in my calendar. I would like to delete it altogether but can't seem to do so. When I choose "delete" it says:Delete recurring alarm?
- Delete the series

But neither works, sometimes that even creates another identical alarm instead of deleting it. how to get rid of this?
