set up some type of alarm, it's not the regular clock alarm nor the calendar alarm, to go off at 6:00 am. This alarm can't be turn off at all. I press and hold the start botton, turn off the cell, and turn it back on. Still the phone alarm continues to beep. I can't remember how or where I programmed this alarm to reset it back off. The only way I can turn it off is by removing the battery.

When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I have vibration strength down to nothing on all notifications, but it still does it. There is no option to turn off vibration in settings for the stock app. I hate having my phone vibrate with the alarm. Or at all really.

Ive never seen that symbol before. I turn on the daily alarm, it doesn't turn on it just stays the same. Turn it to off, it won't go away. I tried everything i could think of including taking out the battery. it will NOT go away! its going to drive me crazy if my phone goes off at 3 pm every day!
My friend somehow set this alarm on her BB so it goes off ever day but I can't seem to find where to turn it off. It shows up on the screen when in the clock and it looks like a phone (on the bottom right side when in clock mode). Its not the same as the usual clock alarm which looks like a clock . Can't figure out where to turn this thing off at and its driving us nuts!

The Home screen says it is set for 6AM, and sure enough, it rings at 6AM. I check the clock settings and the alarm shows that it is off. My problem is that I carry my phone in my front pocket and sometimes when the alarm notice goes off, I take the phone out of my pocket and the window to turn off the alarm is no longer there. Taking the phone out of my pocket somehow removed the alarm window. I can't figure out how to turn off the alarm except to turn completely turn the whole phone off then turn it back on again (which takes a long time because it has to go through the whole boot process.
Does anyone know how to turn of a scheduled alarm when the alarm window is no longer on the screen?
It seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.

- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown
- Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
am completely new here and completely new to the smart phone. It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. But now I don't want the alarm anymore.The only option I have in this BB in the clock tab is Weekdays ON / OFF [blue in color in the centre of the clock].I do not have any third option of OFF, irrespective of weekdays/weekends.But it still rings sometimes though being OFF for the weekdays & the alarm time in red still shows & the tiny alarm/clock icon even shows on the desktop.

But neither works, sometimes that even creates another identical alarm instead of deleting it. how to get rid of this?
If I set the alrm to work on weekdays or just on it will work once after battery been taken out and replaced. It doesn't work again until I repeat actions with the battery.
