BB Curve :: Disabling An Alarm?
Sep 16, 2011My daughter has this alarm that looks like a radio that keeps going off at 4am everymorning. I am not familiar with the Curve and would like to know how to disable it.

Cseries :: C3-01 Disabling Snooze Function On Alarm
Jan 29, 2012I have recently been given a nokia C3 - 01 phone. I love it but the only problem is, I don't want the snooze option on my alarm. On my old nokia 6300 I had the option of turning the snooze off from settings. I have looked through the manual but cannot find anything that says how to turn the option off totally. How to alter the snooze time but not how to disable it.

Jun 20, 2010Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.

Apr 4, 2011It seems on Nokia E71, the alarm settings are lost when an alarm is activated while the mobile is turned off.The sequence which i followed was.# set an alarm with time = current time + 5 mins# switched off the mobile# When the alarm time reaches the alarm goes on and asks "if we want to turn on the phone"; select 'no'.[My opinion is that at this stage it should just inform the user that the phone is switched off, rather than giving an option to turn on the phone.]# turn on the phone and go to Menu_office_clock and check the previous alarm settings. All of them would be deleted. I saw the same error in E72 and E63.

- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown

It's just that all my other Sony phones, the alarm worked (and calendar reminder) when the phone was switched off, to wake me up ect. Nov 14, 2011set up some type of alarm, it's not the regular clock alarm nor the calendar alarm, to go off at 6:00 am. This alarm can't be turn off at all. I press and hold the start botton, turn off the cell, and turn it back on. Still the phone alarm continues to beep. I can't remember how or where I programmed this alarm to reset it back off. The only way I can turn it off is by removing the battery.

Jul 13, 2012I am using a BB Curve 8520, black.I had initially set the alarm for all weekdays. But now I don't want the alarm anymore.The only option I have in this BB in the clock tab is Weekdays ON / OFF [blue in color in the centre of the clock].I do not have any third option of OFF, irrespective of weekdays/weekends.But it still rings sometimes though being OFF for the weekdays & the alarm time in red still shows & the tiny alarm/clock icon even shows on the desktop.
I've done options of keeping the alarm silent & all that. But it does vibrate sometimes. Sometimes the icon disappears & it comes back automatically.How do I DISABLE this alarm?? Just off it types, like we do in other phones!

Oct 16, 2012If I set the alrm to work on weekdays or just on it will work once after battery been taken out and replaced. It doesn't work again until I repeat actions with the battery.

May 4, 2010since I've upated my BB 8900 to 5.0.0.592 (official release of my provider), the alarm clock is not ringing when the phone is locked.
When it's unlocked there is no problem and the alarm is sounding.
But when it's locked it does only display an information about the alarm on the screen, but no sound :smileysad: How can I fix that? I'dont want to get too late too often!

Sep 21, 2012I have had a problem with texts not always going off for atleast a month now, sometimes a battery pull works, other times not. Now my alarm isn't going off. Again it's not always and battery pulls only sometimes fix the issue. I have checked the options for the alarm and text and when I click 'try it' it says 'invalid ring tone selected' which makes no sense, I have changed it from the phone's default tones and to music stored on my phone which I know plays in the music player and neither works.
