In order not to wake up my son I set my phone with volume 1 for phone and apps; this seems to work for everything but Alarm, which always sounds like if it was set at full volume.
I'm on the latest insider build and firmware.
Just recently my iphone 4s speakers started acting up. I have restored it twice once to a back up and the other time as a new phone. The speakers get really staticy on full volume and then it cuts out but if I turn down the volume and blow air into the speakers it goes back to play fine until I turn up the volume again. I'm going to try to clean it out with a toothbrush and see if that helps. But I'm curious does this seem more like a hardware problem or is it a problem with the operating system and I should try to hold out until ios 6 comes out and see if that helps. I've read all the problems with this so I'm hesitant to send it in since there is no apple store around here and find out I have to pay to get it fixed. Tried to talk to them on the phone but since it's a week past ninety days I would have to purchase apple care in order to get any help but yet that's only available for 30 days after your purchase so I'm not sure how come they can offer that over the phone.

Why is it that the alarm volume does not change if you change the phone volume setting on the 1-30 scale. The alarm volume level is insanely loud, and s always the same whether you phone volume setting is on 1 or 30.
It would be very nice if the volume of the alarm could be changed as well as currently it scares the s..t out of me every morning when it goes off.
Media+ apps volume is all the way up and my alarm volume is really low. I'm a missing a setting to turn it up or is it just that low?

View 10 Replies View RelatedOne thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.

As the title states my iPhone 3Gs will only output volume at full vome (way too loud on even the tiniest sliver) or none at all (when it is at 0). I've tried using other headphones, restricted the db limit, and nothing seems to work.

I've recently encountered a problem with my HTC One S in that it will not recognize any of my music, notification and alarm sounds at all. I've connected it to my PC to verify that the music is indeed in the music folder, but nothing comes up.

I have three custom files I have created or saved and always used on all of my phones.I have these in the folder "Music" in iTunes, but I cannot figure out how to set them to their respective assignments.I have read the help file that says you have to "Buy" custom ringtones. Does that mean even mp3's that you already have like I do? How do I make these 3 work as Ringtone, Alarm and Alert on iPhone 4? Most other phones allow you to hit a button on the side to silence it. It is annoying in a meeting when I can't silence the alarm quickly.Does anyone know of any apps out there that would allow me to stop the alarm using the easily accessible volume button? Also, if you know of any apps that would give me more user controls. For example, I would love to be able to lock the camera button until I unlock it with a menu item.I gave up my old phone because of this alarm silencing issue. Using these buttons you can adjust every application, accept the alarm clock. There isn't also an extra option in the advanced menu of Alarm clock for volume adjusting. While ringing the alarm cannot be adjust using the + and - buttons because when you press them, the alarm just snoozes. The + and - buttons while you are in the alarm menu don't adjust the volume too. But when you set the radio as alarm clock then it works - the volume is so loud as the phone ringing settings. There is also no extra option in the Settings menu for the alarm clock.
