Jun 11, 2011I seem to be unable to lower the volume of my nokia C3-01. The volume is so load that it scares me in the morning.how to turn the alarm volume down?

Jul 27, 2010One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.

Nov 8, 2012I just bought this phone and I am satisfied with it. The only problem I see is that the alarm volume is too low. It's a lot lower than the mp3 player volume. This is puzzling since the alarm is the one that's supposed to be louder so that it can wake people up.

May 24, 2010I recently purchased the 5230.I set quite a few alarms, and need to silence them without taking the 5230 out of my pocket or out of the carrying pouch and swiping the face or rotating it. Most other phones allow you to hit a button on the side to silence it. It is annoying in a meeting when I can't silence the alarm quickly.Does anyone know of any apps out there that would allow me to stop the alarm using the easily accessible volume button? Also, if you know of any apps that would give me more user controls. For example, I would love to be able to lock the camera button until I unlock it with a menu item.I gave up my old phone because of this alarm silencing issue. I may have to do the same with the 5230. I have 90 days to turn it back in to Costco.

Oct 23, 2012Why is it that the alarm volume does not change if you change the phone volume setting on the 1-30 scale. The alarm volume level is insanely loud, and s always the same whether you phone volume setting is on 1 or 30.
It would be very nice if the volume of the alarm could be changed as well as currently it scares the s..t out of me every morning when it goes off.

Oct 30, 2012There are + and - buttons on the right side of Nokia X2-02 which you can use for adjusting the volume. Using these buttons you can adjust every application, accept the alarm clock. There isn't also an extra option in the advanced menu of Alarm clock for volume adjusting. While ringing the alarm cannot be adjust using the + and - buttons because when you press them, the alarm just snoozes. The + and - buttons while you are in the alarm menu don't adjust the volume too. But when you set the radio as alarm clock then it works - the volume is so loud as the phone ringing settings. There is also no extra option in the Settings menu for the alarm clock.

When I have a calendar event upcoming the notification alarm starts at the set time, but the alarm will continue until I press Stop or Snooze, which is a little bit disturbing if I'm in a meeting etc. Is there any setting so I only got a single notification signal/vibration and then the device stay quite when an upcoming calendar event (as many other devices do)? Oct 16, 2012I have had a Nokia E51 for about 4 years - I used it till it literally stopped working. That phone started out great, but gave me A LOT of trouble and I started to hate it around month 6.
Fast forward a few years and I need to buy a new phone. I search around and find a phone that has OFFLINE GPS! Whoa! Also, great reviews! I am sold. Turns out it's another Nokia (C6-01).
I have had this thing for about 2.5 months now and I am getting really really paranoid considering my history with Nokia phones. They have always surprised me in a very negative way after initially seducing me. I want to love Nokia, but the phone's always prevent me.
Anyway, Last night I tried to set an alarm on my c6-01 and when I tried to alter the time by tapping the text field, THE ON SCREEN KEYBOARD DID NOT SHOW UP. f*ck. Basically, according to my phone, I could only wake up at 11:15 AM - despite having work at 8:00 AM.
I did do a recent software update a few weeks ago, but from what I remember, the keyboard worked after this update. I am pretty sure I am still under warranty and if that's the case, I am just going to return it to Amazon and never touch another nokia.

Oct 20, 2011I have a C3 and have a problem with the call volume. By this, I mean that it's so low I'm not able to hear the caller. This will go on for a while and will then suddenly pick up and I'll be able to hear the caller clearly. I know how to adjust the call volume and it is on maximum.

Dec 7, 2011I recently purchased the C2-00 (RM-704). I have thoroughly tested the phone and am happy with its features except for an issue with low volume while using bluetooth with a hands free car kit. I know it is a basic phone but the ability to use a bluetooth hands free car kit was one of my mandatory requirements The issue seems to only be the output volume through the cars' speakers. I do not have this issue with any other phone, including Nokia C2-01 and Nokia E71, and other non-Nokia devices. When making calls the other party seems to hear me fine, indicating that the microphone volume is OK, but it is very hard for me to hear the other party even at maximum volume. Due to the road noise I have even had to pull over and stop the car so that I can have a conversation, which totally defeats the purpose of having a bluetooth hands free car kit.

Mar 20, 2012I've just updated my C1-02 to software V06.15. Alas, the max volume for handsfree calls via Bluetooth is still far too low. It's unusable in a moving car. This problem already existed half a year ago in the previous two software versions. Also, the address book isn't transferred correctly.
I use a TomTom Via 125 nav for handsfree calls, but Parrot users have reported the same problems with the C1-02.
