Why is it that the alarm volume does not change if you change the phone volume setting on the 1-30 scale. The alarm volume level is insanely loud, and s always the same whether you phone volume setting is on 1 or 30.
It would be very nice if the volume of the alarm could be changed as well as currently it scares the s..t out of me every morning when it goes off.
I cannot seem to find a setting to adjust the volume of the tone that the alarm clock makes. The alarm volume is very soft and not loud at all. It doesn't wake me up.Could someone please show me how to adjust the volume of the alarm clock? Please?
There are + and - buttons on the right side of Nokia X2-02 which you can use for adjusting the volume. Using these buttons you can adjust every application, accept the alarm clock. There isn't also an extra option in the advanced menu of Alarm clock for volume adjusting. While ringing the alarm cannot be adjust using the + and - buttons because when you press them, the alarm just snoozes. The + and - buttons while you are in the alarm menu don't adjust the volume too. But when you set the radio as alarm clock then it works - the volume is so loud as the phone ringing settings. There is also no extra option in the Settings menu for the alarm clock.
I am using on of the song I have downloaded onto my phone as an alarm clock tone. The volume on the device is set to a minimum yet the alarm volume is extremely high - too high to be waking up to. How do I adjust the alarm clock volume.
In order not to wake up my son I set my phone with volume 1 for phone and apps; this seems to work for everything but Alarm, which always sounds like if it was set at full volume.
Lumia 900 failed to wake me up this morning. The alarm just did not sound at all.
- Alarm was set and was shown to be in use. Even the Icon in the start screen was shown - Tried multiple times afterwards setting the existing alarm a few minutes forward. None of the attempts alarmed.
How I set the alarm is that I always edit the existing alarm, edit the time and push the alarm on.When I tried creating a new alarm (a few minutes forward), that ringed ok. But the existing alarm failed to ring
I recently purchased the 5230.I set quite a few alarms, and need to silence them without taking the 5230 out of my pocket or out of the carrying pouch and swiping the face or rotating it. Most other phones allow you to hit a button on the side to silence it. It is annoying in a meeting when I can't silence the alarm quickly.Does anyone know of any apps out there that would allow me to stop the alarm using the easily accessible volume button? Also, if you know of any apps that would give me more user controls. For example, I would love to be able to lock the camera button until I unlock it with a menu item.I gave up my old phone because of this alarm silencing issue. I may have to do the same with the 5230. I have 90 days to turn it back in to Costco.
Using a Lumia 800 in the UK and (believe it or not) only just realised that it hasn't auto-corrected for daylight-saving time. Can't see an option for it either - am I just missing a really obvious setting somewhere? Time/date has many place options but no DST - is that correct?
One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.
I can't hear any alerts and the volume doesn't adjust when I push the side buttons. I do not have the sounds locked and I have the feature on to allow adjusting the volume with the buttons. When I push the side buttons the ringer icon comes up but the volume wont adjust.
I want to play music on iPhone in my car so connected via auxiliary and while this does work, I can barely hear the music even after increasing car volume control to the max.
How do I adjust the volume for the phone recever on the IPhone 4? All the sounds work fine except for the receiver. I can hear a phone call or voicemail with the ear buds and remote mic, but not through the receiver.
My iPhone 4 has developed a weird quirk. Last night is seemingly turned it's volume down on it's own. Now I am unable to manually adjust the volume. I have tried all the tricks: reset phone; restored phone; mute switch is in the "off" position; and under the Sounds settings "change with buttons" is "on"! To make things even more strange; when I received a phone call earlier I could hear my ringtone; but, no other tones are audible (messages, etc).
I bought two X8 and they are facing the same problem. The in call volume is low. I have to pressed the side key to higher the volume when making call. After call the volume is back to low. That mean every time a incomming or out going call I have to press the side key to higher the volume. I install volume application to adjust the volume and it work fine but when I connect and unplug the USB connecting phone to PC the in call volume become low.
I have the Motorola car dock, and when the phone is docked, the volume buttons do nothing. I want to turn up the volume on the phone becuase even when I trun my radio up all the way, the volume is still not loud enough.
If I undock the phone and just use the headphone jack, I can turn the volume up and down on the phone.
So for some reason, the dock disables the use of the buttons.
So I've just found that I have lost all the controls on my Samsung Galaxy S5 whilst playing videos in the video player.Normally whilst playing a video, a simple tap on the screen you can pause, seek, rewind, screenshot, and adjust brightness volume and play speed. These options are now all totally gone, like they never existed. I've killed the video player in running apps, and also restarted my device and the still the controls are not back,.
When I go to bed every night and I have to lower the volumes on my phone, I have to go to IPod to lower the media volume. Is it any easier way to do it?
I don't want do use the vibrating switch because it will vibrate during the night and I don't want that to happen. If I turn the vibration off, then my alarm app wont go off.
It's unbelievable how Android phone allow you to change volume individually on each app and IOS devices don't. If Android can do Apple can do too.
Prior to updating to Lollipop I was able to easily adjust notification volume by simply touching the volume control on side of phone, then selecting the cog next to ringtone volume. That disappeared with Lollipop update. Is there any way to adjust notification volume other than going all the way to settings?
I have the OEM Motorola Car Dock connected with the combined USB audio/power cable. Whenever I dock my Droid 4, the media volume changes to a default setting (somewhere around 90% of max if I had to guess) and cannot be changed with the volume buttons.
This is a huge problem for me as it causes distortion from my car speakers; I need the media volume to be less than ~70% to prevent this.
If I connect the phone via the 3.5mm jack instead of USB, the media volume can be adjusted normally and I can avoid the distortion...but that requires two cables instead of one and I'd have to connect/disconnect the 3.5mm cable every time I am in my car.
tl;dr Is there any way to change the media volume setting when using the USB port for audio output?
Why it's not possible to adjust the ringer volume at the lock screen? Even though it's possible to adjust the volume during music playback and responses from Siri, etc.Â
There are a number of times during the day that I just want to be able to quickly pick-up the phone and adjust the ringer volume. If there was a profile app available in the app store that allowed me to automatically set different volume levels at different times of the day it would be great - particularly if the app didn't require me to jailbreak the phone.Â
What is the reasoning behind it? I heard someone suggest once that it's intended to protect against the volume buttons being accidentally pressed if the phone is inside an enclosed space, i.e. handbag or pocket, but I've never personally experienced this when jogging with the phone in my pocket while listening to music on my headphones. And if it's for security reasons, then why is anyone able to switch my phone into silent mode?Â
