IPhone :: Ring Volume Affects Alarm Volume Also In 4?
Jul 27, 2010One thing I have noticed with my new iPhone 4 (and I am guessing it is an iOS 4.0 thing) is that my ring volume affects the alarm volume. On my 3Gs, it did not matter what my ring volume was set at, when I set the alarm to go off, it played at full volume which I like. I am always changing the volume on my ringer depending on where I am so now I find that sometimes it is on low when an alarm goes off and now I don't hear it.

Nov 8, 2012I just bought this phone and I am satisfied with it. The only problem I see is that the alarm volume is too low. It's a lot lower than the mp3 player volume. This is puzzling since the alarm is the one that's supposed to be louder so that it can wake people up.

May 24, 2010I recently purchased the 5230.I set quite a few alarms, and need to silence them without taking the 5230 out of my pocket or out of the carrying pouch and swiping the face or rotating it. Most other phones allow you to hit a button on the side to silence it. It is annoying in a meeting when I can't silence the alarm quickly.Does anyone know of any apps out there that would allow me to stop the alarm using the easily accessible volume button? Oct 30, 2012There are + and - buttons on the right side of Nokia X2-02 which you can use for adjusting the volume. Using these buttons you can adjust every application, accept the alarm clock. There isn't also an extra option in the advanced menu of Alarm clock for volume adjusting. While ringing the alarm cannot be adjust using the + and - buttons because when you press them, the alarm just snoozes. The + and - buttons while you are in the alarm menu don't adjust the volume too. But when you set the radio as alarm clock then it works - the volume is so loud as the phone ringing settings. There is also no extra option in the Settings menu for the alarm clock.

Jun 20, 2010Any ideas as to what I'm doing wrong here? Sometimes (about 1 day a week), I'll set my alarm, but it will not go off. When I look at the phone, it'll have the pop-up indicator thing saying "DISMISS" or "off" (can't remember exactly what it says), that indicates that the alarm was triggered, but it doesn't actually make the alarm sound.Any ideas why this may be happening? I am 100% sure the alarm is set to the right time, and the AM/PM is correct, and the phone is not on "Silent", but the alarm won't actually ring? It doesn't do it all the time, but maybe only once every 7-10 times I set the alarm, and for the life of me, I cannot figure out why.This is a big problem for me because I don't have a regular alarm clock, and I use it to wake me up for work. Twice this month I have been late for work because my alarm didn't go off.Can anyone out there possibly help me diagnose this problem? I think my boss thinks that I'm lying to him when I tell him my alarm doesn't go off, and it's really becoming a problem.

Jun 27, 2012Every app I have that requires volume to listen works fine. But when I close the app, my ringer volume level is still in app mode volume. The app volume completely takes over my ringer volume level although in settings it never really changed. In order for me to get my ringer volume back to it's set volume, I have to go into settings and move the volume up or down. Then and only then do I have control over the ringer volume with the buttons on the side of the phone.

Issue: After upgrading to version 4.6.0.282 the ring tone volume is very low, even when the profile setting has the tone set to High I often miss the call, I have tried turning on "Audio Boost" with no change, tried a hard re-boot, no change. Volume of calls are fine, it's the ring tones, I have the same ring tone in use as before the O/S upgrade so this hasn't changed, no other (new) apps have been installed, just the O/S upgraded. I can't find any sort of master volume control setting in any of the forums is there such a setting, how do I get the volumes back to normal?
