Oct 26, 2011I just updated to the 6.0 bundle and now my pearl does not play a sound when I receive a text message. The option to even change the tone it is supposed to play is gone out of the menu. I have tried restoring and re installing the software and resetting the device numerous times. Sometimes it will come back for a short amount of time then disappear again. I also get the error message uncaught exception:java.lang.nullpointerexception from time to time. Anyone else have this issue know of a PERMANENT fix? I am ready to throw it under a moving vehicle.

Problem is she is receiving those messages sent as texts (green) but NOT those messages sent as iMessages (blue) They seem to change format randomly. I don't get to choose the format. It's been bugging me for years, it's specially annoying when the other person I chat with isn't aware of this issue and ocassionally misses out my messages.i mean,if apple insists that to avoid this problem, the users MUST remember to quit the conversation RIGHT AFTER EVERY SINGLE LINE, this is just absolutely unrealistic.I now do it every time because I'm aware of the issue, but not the other people I have conversations with.I've had too many situations where I had to wait for a long time to receive response only to find out that the other person wasn't aware the new text messages, because it was simply too soft to hear, and completely no other sort of things to notify you with.so i wonder if there really isn't a way to change the notification behavior, cuz apparently it's impossible that I make everybody I send text to change their habits just for this.

Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Mar 9, 2010I own a pearl 8100 which has worked great until recently. I have not been able to make or recieve any calls, or send and recieve any texts. The only thing i have to go on is a flashing blue arrow on the top right hand corner. It usually doesnt come on until i try to make a call which always results in a call fail. Not sure if this is relevant or not, but the phone is unlocked. It was originally from T-mobile, and its currently on ATT's network.Things I've tried.
-Hard reset
-Memory reset
-Turning off the radio signal and back on
-firmware is up to date
I'm not sure what information is necessary to solve the problem, but if you need to know anything just lemme know.
