how do i change my text message settings so i can send a text message as a whole instead of 2 different messages and also recieve them as a whole message instead of in 2 parts
I am currently not able to find any LED light settings on my 9810. The thing is that it flashes with red light only (not counting Wifi green light or Bluetooth connection - blue) when I receive a message. But when I miss any call, there is no flash light reminding me that! Friend of mine has older 9800 and he is getting blue flash light when having missed call. Also the red light reminding me missed incoming message goes off after a while. I would need that to flash until I read the message.
I just update the latest version 7.1 on my 9810 and i can not change the language for french. French language is not longer available in the option why?
This is the message I receive when trying to access various websites, such as my banking and business accounts. I contacted my service provider (AT&T) but they had no clue on how to resolve the issue. I have a Torch 9810.
My phone randomly turned off earlier and only turned back on when I plugged it in, but as it was turning on a message appeared and says, "Error 102 Reload Software". When I went to the site it told me to, to find more information it said the page was no longer available.
The bar on the top of the screen between the "select a profile" and the "search magnifying glass" where the notifications pop up not sure what that page is called but in this slide down screen under Text Messages I have a text message that is staying at unread. Even though I have deleted the text message and I've tried everything to try and get it to go away. Today I have a Blackberry Messenger Message that won't delete as well. Does anyone else have this problem and figure out a way to refresh and get ride of it? I've tried turning the device on and off a few times but doesn't fix the issue.
My bbm is working perfect, but all my regular texts are out of order. All the texts i hve sent are at the top of the screen, followed by the incoming texts at the bottom of the screen. It reads that every single incoming text is recieved at 1050am, even though my all read sent at the correct time. The time on the phone is correct so I'm sure whats going on. I've only had the phone 2 days and its been like this since I got. The phone is a blackberry torch 9810 and I'm with virgin mobile on a 3 year term. Also I'm new to the world of blackberries
I look after our company besex server where we have around 20 devices. Last weekend one of our users (just happened to be the M.D.) got a problem where the date for incoming emails and SMS messages on his 9810 was showing as 17 May 2044.i have fixed the emails by deleteing the mail database on the handheld and resyncing, but how can I sort out the text message? Also it would be great if someone has an explanation as to how this date change could have happend as it was only playing up for a few hours before it fixed itself and as far as I know, our MD is not a time traveller
I'm getting a message memory "Message Memory is full! Please delete some SMS"! I cannot believe this.. I have over 13k sms messages on my 9800 and I have never gotten this warning. I just restored a 9800 IPD to my 9810.. And my sms msg aren't on my SIM CARD but on blackberry memory!
I updated my bb to 7.0.0.540 but I'm getting the same msg.
Is there any way i can restore deleted text messages from my blackberry torch 9810?Initially my phone settings were set to only save text messages for 30 days so lots of my messages were deleted from my phone. I then tried to restore them from a previous back-up but that ended completely deleting EVERYTHING leaving my text message panel blank. Is there any way i can get my text messages back?
when I get the message it says who it comes from, and the beginning of the message! how do I change it that it just says "text message" and that the contents of the message does not appear?
I am unable to change any of my ring settings since the first time I changed them. Every time I try to open the sounds for selected profile button it acts like its going to open but just goes back to the same Change sounds and alerts screen.
Have the new iphone 4s and can't work out how to stop my texts from being displayed on the home screen for all and sundry to see! I remember being able to change this quite easily on the old one but I have yet to find the necessary "button".
I recieved my Torch a few days ago and set up my gmail account on the handset which has been working perfectly. I've had to change my password for gmail on my account. However, when attempting to access the email accounts set up my phone will not let me into the option. Everything else works fine except this. I need my emails for work but, as I can't change the gmail password on my phone or add/delete any form of email account it's a little frustrating, especially as I got this phone due to it being praised for how good emails are on Blackberry. Are they working on a fix for this? I can't even access the Blackberry Internet service even though I have registered my phone.
I recently created a back up of my phone. I followed the wrong advice and wiped the phone. So I went back and restored my back up. Everything backed up, however, the phone went back to default everything, selecting any tab or icon on the set up page will lock the phone when you try to back out or close, and emails cannot be configured - the emails reloaded but I cannot send, receive, or change any email settings - I get error message"unable to open email setup application. contact your wireless service provider." The MAIN issue now is my wireless service provider is not aware of this problem and they keep trying to send me updates via email not accepting that I cannot get my emails from my phone anymore. and are baffled that removing the battery and restarting isn't working?
opying contacts from a Bold 9810 to another 9810.Using the BB Desktop Software I did a full backup of the device (which contained 400+ contacts), then did a full restore on a new 9810, but only 200 contacts were copied over.Next I tried to do a selective restore, but although the 400+ contacts were in the file, it was grayed out and could not be selected. How can I get all the contacts into the new 9810. (Side note: I was able to restore the 400+ contacts to a BB Bold).
After only a couple of days with my torch and not having modified it all, all of a sudden when I click on the TEXT message icon, it just shows my regular inbox. It used to show only SMS messages and was really cool. Now it shows emails and all!
I dont see anywhere to change this back to the original behavior. I did a hard reset with no luck.So far I love my phone even with the minor annoyances like it hangs for a few seconds after unlocking it everytime, fine I can live with that. But I really want to fix this text message thing
Message inbox icon (notification/ indicator) for Text message does not appear on my Torch 9860 when I receive text message (the little tiny text message bubble icon).I get it for email and blackberry messenger (little envelop for email, blue bubble for messenger) but nothing for text message.
I see that I can change the bubble color scheme...and that I can add a custom background photo...but can I change the font color to something other than black? If I do put a custom photo image up and it is dark I can't see the font/writing.
both my partner and i have recently purchased an iphone4, when messaging each other some appear in BLUE bubbles and some in GREEN bubbles, why does it change from imessage to text message during the same conversation if we are both registered to imessage services?
I just bought a brand new 9860 Torch today and all of a sudden I cannot open the options menu to change settings. Also I cannot view my network and connections to see whether my data service is turned on. I am currently not receiving data on my device. This is alarming as I spent a small fortune to acquire this device today. Again I discovered to my horror the earpiece jack does not hold in the port of my device and unable to listen to music via handsfree. The options icon on the home screen does not open at all when I touch it.Instead it freezes. Same with the network and connections options under network connections.
My month old BB Torch 9810 has automatically deleted "old" text messages and my outgoing text messages up to a few days old. My message settings are set to "Keep messages forever".(although ive hardly any emails/messages/pictures/apps on this phone yet compared with my last phone,a Bold, which never automatically deleted anything?)In addtion my track ball has stopped working when I have the slider open and use the keypad rather than the touchscreen.
I have "secret" phone number so I't doesn't show to receiver at all, but I can send my number using *31# in front of actual number... So I have contacts that have two numbers with *31# and without.... But when sending txt message it tries to use this *31# number and text messages don't go anywhere... Is there anyway to change text message number within numbers in contacts... I have noticed that when I have two numbers without this *31# I can choose which number to use... but not with that..
