I just upgrades from a Curve 8330 to the Storm 2 9550. I paired it with my car and it constantly connects then dis connects with the factory hands free. This makes it difficult to answer calls and I drop calls in the middle. The curve worked fine with my car so it's not the car.

View 5 Replies View RelatediPhone 4 8gb/White. Purchased November 2011, AT&T.Plug in the 30-pin connector, and USB to PC: it will chirp, but then stop. This same PC/USB connector supports 2 other iPods (4th gen) and a iPhone 4S (granted, not all are plugged in together, but one at a time!), and the White iPhone 4 is the only one with the issue. Tried on another PC, USB plugged directly in, no hubs, no extensions, again, a cable that is tried and true and works on other iOS devices. SAME problem. Chirp-on, then disconnect after 1 second. Does this repeatedly 3 or 4 times in a row, then gives up for a while.
Tried with straight USB AC power cube - same result. Tried a different USB AC power cube - same result. I have tried to power the phone off and charge it with the power off, but when the port wakes back up, it turns the phone back on. I managed to keep enough charge in the phone to update it from 5.0.1 to 5.1.1. Also did a "reset all settings" - and the problem persists.
I have NOT yet done an erase all settings (is it necessary?) or restore, but mostly because the port won't stay connected long enough to do so. This phone has NO liquid sensors tripped, does not have a lot of use on it, only has 17 total hours usage on cellular usage. I have an appointment at the Apple store tomorrow. Is there something I should try in the meantime?

As of this morning, everytime I connect my phone to my computer it rapidly connects and disconnects. After searching the web far and wide I've only come up with dead ends. Before today it worked fine, I don't think it's the cord because it works when i tried it with another computer and works when I charge my phone with the wall charger (which I'm forced to do now). Error messages have popped up like 0xE8000001 and 0XE8000065.

Although we had no problem using wifi with our old phones, the Electrify searches, connects and then immediately disconnects. I've spent hours checking out the router software as the admin, checking on line to see if others have reported this and I've tried every combination of options on the Electrify. He says that he could go 30 seconds before it disconnects or hours before it disconnects. He is using the tether plan through Verizon not the one time fee app. I could find absolutely nothing about this on the internet or these forums so I'm hoping someone out there can help me, Verizon reps has not been a help at all. Initially my setup was using a Motorola Roadster and while playing audio I would randomly not get sound, then shortly after I would get the message that the phone was no longer connected to the Roadster.Usually it would eventually reconnect, sometimes almost immediately after. This would happen sometimes as often as every few minutes, while other times it could play a half hour or more before encountering the problem.
Initially I was unsure whether it was the Atrix itself or the Roadster, but after having recently purchased a Ford F-150 with SYNC bluetooth connect, I am encountering the exact same behavior with random disconnects. Unfortunately with the Ford SYNC, I never get it to automatically reconnect, and I must go into the phone, turn bluetooth off and back on, then manually reconnect from the phone.Most of the time I have the Atrix connected through the Motorola Car Dock, but I think the same behavior has occurred out of the dock.I have never noticed this same behavior with other bluetooth devices I have - Jawbone Icon, Monster iClarity speaker. I don't know if I have enough data to tell definitively or not, but I think I have only observed this when the auto was in motion.
I'm having trouble with the phone disconnecting from the car once the phone has docked. The signal bars gradually fall away and the car asks if you want to re-connect. The manufacturers information (jaguar) states that the phone is compatible, but gives the version as 2.1. My phone is running 2.2.2, after updating a couple of months ago. My old Nokia 6300 connects every time and I can upload the contacts to the car's display.

Initially I thought it was HBH-DS220 not playing nice with Android, so I bought MW600 Last Saturday, but sadly Problem persists.Problem Description: Simply put, I'd be lucky to finish a phone call over the bluetooth headset without it dropping connection. The MW600 would still display the telephone number, while in fact no sound is coming or going through, and then it takes a few seconds for the "Bluetooth" toggle button on the phone call UI to disappear. Whenever that happens, I'll have to frantically yank off the earbud, take out the phone, and start appologising to the other person for missing the last few seconds of conversation.It would also sometimes lose connection when I'm playing games, the sound would stop coming in from the game, then the game will freeze for a second or two, and suddenly the sound would start coming out from the the built in loud speakers and give everyboy else a heart attack.i'm using stock firmware, never rooted/unlocked:

EDIT: On another note, after posting this, I found I have put my email as the displayed username... (I already have an account over at blog.sonymobile, and over there, username means email address. So I put my email address when I log on here, the button says something like "create account"... yes, its a bit weird, yet plausible since I was thinking you're confirming my email before proceeding onto anothe create account screen. There was no warning THAT username is the one going to be displayed.)
My storm 9550 is currently running .320 which is not the newest release. Everytime I download the OS onto my computer (.517 and .607) I do the whole downloading process delete the vendor, go to application loader, it says new updates available for your phone, it does the whole downloading process but my phone still ends up with .320 --no changes. Am I missing a step, am I not supposed to delete the vendor.xml file or something.

I have a bold 9700 right now and my dad is looking for a phone and he wants a bold 9700. before i get him one im wondering if i should get a different phone and give him my bold. I love the bold but the couple things that have been really bothering me are the dropped calls and over crappy service.
Hows the 9550 on telus? and would u guys suggest switching to one? Hows the keyboard for someone thats used to a physical keyboard? the only two phones i have had are the tour and bold 9700 and i really like the keyboard, but im willing to get something thats not as good for a bigger screen. I just dont want anything thats glitchy. Im pretty picky about my electronics and especially for my phone i just want it to work.
So basically my real question is is it worth it to switch to the storm? and are there any issues with the phone that someone thats a bit finicky would be pissed off at? (im not obsessed about little issues but keyboard is a huge deal to me)

I'm loving my lumia 800, but this bluetooth problem is driving me crazy! The handset pairs fine with the head unit in my c class Merc, I can make and receive calls and text messages, but it continually disconnect the bluetooth as though the phone is powering bluetooth off and then powering it back up and reconnecting. This sometimes happens every 30-40 seconds other days it can be ever 3-5 minutes. The head unit works fine with my blackberry, htc desire and a mates iphone so I know that's not at fault. I've tried deleting the pairing and restoring my phone prior to the update but all to no avail.

I keep finding my phone will do random things in my pocket when out  and its really frustrating i had tried changing lots of settings todo with the screen as i thought it was when i got a notification it would wake the phone and my leg would simulate screen presses.

That isnt the case however. I have narrowd it down to when i get in my car and the bluetooth connects to my car radio it makes the touch screen active, the screen does not light up but if you touch it as it connects it will wake the phone.
My phone automatically connects through Bluetooth to my 2012 Lexus and works just fine. However, contacts will not transfer. Is there a setting on the phone I need to change?

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have just bought a Storm 2 9550 that is from Verizon USA. The device is GSM unlocked, and I am using it from Hungary on a local carrier. I am in the middle of a carrier change that has Blackberry services, however I currently have 3G web access on my actual carrier. However, the integrated browser that came with the phone, does not allow me to use the 3g network, only WIFI service. I cannot even set it to 3G on the browser options tab, as it only offers "hotspot browser".
Is there any way I can find a http browser that supports the 3g network, so I could surf the web on this carrier until I complete the carrier change? Is there any on Blackberry App world? I didnt manage to find one.
Also, I would like to have a POP3 client on my device that can communicate through 3G with a pop3 mail server, as the integrated email messaging software that Blackberry device software 5 offers is only capable of having a mail account through a BB service provider.I am very staisfied with the device itself, great for managing calls, and multimedia - did not face any crashes at all (maybe once when I wnated to take a picture and it frozen when the flash lit up).
Using 9550 in 3G network is OK, but when I make a phone call in GPRS, BB cutts the call after 15 - 20 sec. Haw can I resolved it?
