Yesterday my phone randomly turned off and began to restart itself every 10-20 seconds. Now the display and generally phone wont work unless its plugged in. But once I plug it back in its like my phone was always on, it goes straight back to my lockscreen and shows any notifications I'd gotten in the time my phone wasnt working.

Volume buttons work fine, up and down.As soon as I plug any headphones/speaker, I am able to turn the volume up using the side buttons, but not down. I have gone through all of the sound, ipod, and general settings on the phone but cannot find a way to fix this. Btw, the IPhone is Jailbroken, so I would like to refrain from simply trying to update the IOS.

I'm stuck in the 80s with a corded phone again. It works fine if it's plugged in. But when I unplug it and try to use it, a white screen will flash and then it turns off completely. It automatically tries to reboot, but fails on most occasions. I have to hard reboot to get it to work again and still have to have it plugged in. Anyone have ideas on how to get this to work??

After approx 2 weeks of recieving the phone back from the insurers the phone starting bhaving eratically - not allowing him to play music, showing the phone was charging when it wasnt plugged in. Well before i had chance to do anything about this the phone is now completly unresponsive, it turns on and off but when it is on none of the keys work, the touchpad doesnt work when you slide the screen up and down it does nothing. Does anyone know if this is something likely to be linked to the repair or if it is likely to be a seperate problem with the handset (possibly covered under warrenty) and just a coincednce?

However the phone functions normally when i slide the game pad out, i can send and recieve texts, the display and touch screen work fine i'm not sure what to do and cant think why this would happen because the phone functions perfectly when the game pad is out.

If the display is on, it works fine, but if the display is off, the smart action is not triggered. The smart action doesn't start or end if the display is off, it just stays in the mode it was in when the display was last on.I had a smart action that turned off a few things when the display is off, but I disabled that smart action and I still had the issue of the location based smart actions not triggering.

So I woke up this morning and I keep my 3GS plugged in over night everyday connected to my MacBook pro and my mbp never goes to sleep so the phone stays getting a charge. I woke up this morning and it was at 98% or 97%. First time ever doing this. Is there a reason for that?
