Moto X (2014) :: Heads Up Display
Jan 2, 2015I have a Moto X 2nd gen, which I got yesterday, and I got the upgrade to lollipop. It seems like my heads up display only works when I have a call, but when I get a text, I don't get the heads up display, just a notification which forces me to leave the app I'm in to reply, rather than just replying right there with the heads up. I was wondering why this was happening?

Jan 23, 2015Whenever I click on a hyperlink, it takes me to the site, but the page doesn't load up. In other words, I see the web address at the top, but I get a blank white page and the phone doesn't even try to load it. If I hit the back page to go to the original site and click the hyperlink a second time, then the page loads up.

Apr 3, 2015So sometimes when I try to play a video on a website, the audio doesn't play. The media volume is all the way up and still nothing. I've even tried restarting the phone and nothing. Other times, they play just fine. If I do a search for that same video on Youtube, it plays fine.

Dec 5, 2014I want my phone to be encrypted, but I also do not want a password/lock screen at home. If I encrypt my device if Smart Lock locations and bluetooth devices will still work? I want to make sure because if I encrypt and it *doesnt* work then I'll need to factory reset and start all over.

Oct 26, 2015My issue may not be specific to the Moto X 2014, but it's the phone I'm using. I'm able to tether my Moto X to my Dell laptop and use the internet, no problem.
But when I turn on the portable wi-fi hotspot, give it a network name, set security to WPA2 PSK, broadcast channel (either 2.4 or 5 GHz) and give it a password (at least 8 characters), it doesn't work. My laptop connects, but there's no internet data.
Given that I'm able to share my mobile phone data plan with my laptop via a tether, I'm curious as hell to know why the hotspot feature isn't work.

May 19, 2015My z3 is abt 6 months old. Recently I locked my phone and tried unlocking it but the screen never turned on though I can see the screen lighting up a bluish colour but the display doesn't appear. I have to switch off the phone for around half an hour and restart for it to work.

If the display is on, it works fine, but if the display is off, the smart action is not triggered. The smart action doesn't start or end if the display is off, it just stays in the mode it was in when the display was last on.I had a smart action that turned off a few things when the display is off, but I disabled that smart action and I still had the issue of the location based smart actions not triggering.

Jan 10, 2015So I understand Priority Notifications is the new 'silent' mode but I can't get it working so that it has the same functionality as older Android versions.
I've set all priority notifications (events / calls / messages) off and choose to turn on priority notifications indefinitely but each day it reverts back to 'all' so I have to remember to turn it on every day.
Also, when in an app (e.g WhatsApp) and a new message comes through, it still makes a noise even though it's in priority notifications mode!

Jan 20, 2015If I go into hangouts and sign out, next time I go back in it just automatically signs me straight back in. So basically anybody can read my messages because hangouts will just automatically log me in. How the hell do you stop it from automatically signing you in? Can't find anything in settings and I've tried going into apps and deleting the hangouts cache and hangouts data. But it still signs me straight back in. It won't even let me delete the app either.
