Moto X (2014) :: Top Front Speaker LED
Mar 15, 2015Is there any meaning to the LED turning green behind the top front speaker? It has turned green a few times only when my phone was plugged into a car charger and it froze up?

View 1 RepliesJust got the phone and I noticed that the front facing camera seems very choppy when moving the phone. Is this common? I knew going into it that the cameras weren't great, but just want to see if maybe there is something wrong.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI've read quite a few articles regarding IR sensor beams, and the consensus seems to be that they are not meant to be pointed at the eyes. The moto x has three of them, constantly beaming toward the user's face when looking at the phone, you can see them when taking a video of the phone, even when the phone is in sleep mode. I was wondering of you could turn these off by switching off the active notification feature?
View 4 Replies View RelatedOver the last few weeks seeing two issues with both Moto X's !
1st issue a text or tweet comes in and randomly the screen is in lock mode just flickering rapidly like its shorting out and goes on for up to 30 + seconds?
2nd issue is when calling out after 3rd ring on speakerphone the speaker starts crackling on the 4th and 5 + rings?
So I understand Priority Notifications is the new 'silent' mode but I can't get it working so that it has the same functionality as older Android versions.
I've set all priority notifications (events / calls / messages) off and choose to turn on priority notifications indefinitely but each day it reverts back to 'all' so I have to remember to turn it on every day.
Also, when in an app (e.g WhatsApp) and a new message comes through, it still makes a noise even though it's in priority notifications mode!
Pre-Lollipop, I was able to have a different ringtone for each contact. This was set in the 'Contacts' app. I can't seem to see how to do this in Lollipop.

View 1 Replies View Related2014 Moto X running Lollipop won't auto rotate. Done all the usual stuff (reboot, reflash, cycle the auto rotate button). The problem is system wide and not application specific. Found some posts out on the web about the same problem but all the threads were dead ends.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a Moto X 2nd gen, which I got yesterday, and I got the upgrade to lollipop. It seems like my heads up display only works when I have a call, but when I get a text, I don't get the heads up display, just a notification which forces me to leave the app I'm in to reply, rather than just replying right there with the heads up. I was wondering why this was happening?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI can't be the only one! Does your phone go off (active moto voice) randomly throughout the day, when you don't say your launch phrase? I sometimes I am in my car listening to music or out and about talking to other people when randomly moto voice activates itself. Sometimes I replay a song to see it it happens again and it doesn't. The worst part is, my phrase is "powers activate."

View -1 Replies View RelatedIf I go into hangouts and sign out, next time I go back in it just automatically signs me straight back in. So basically anybody can read my messages because hangouts will just automatically log me in. How the hell do you stop it from automatically signing you in? Can't find anything in settings and I've tried going into apps and deleting the hangouts cache and hangouts data. But it still signs me straight back in. It won't even let me delete the app either.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI see that, for certain phones, Google Now has an "always on" option that allows you to activate it even when the screen is off, similar to Moto Voice. This option, however, doesn't seem to be enabled by default for the Moto X (the option doesn't even appear). It would seem a foregone conclusion though that this option could work for the Moto X.
View 16 Replies View RelatedSo my Moto X (2014) has been a little slow lately. I decided that I'd try and clear the cache for the first time seeing as how I've encountered that recommendation several times here on the site. I've never done it, even after upgrading to 5.0.
Today I tried it and it just got stuck on "Formatting /cache..." for about 10 minutes before I decided just to reboot and try again. I've cleared cache on several other devices before and it's usually very very quick. After a reboot, same thing with the exception of these error messages:
I gave up and just booted into the OS. The phone is working ok but I don't think my cache is cleared. I have a 32GB Pure Edition. No root or custom ROMs or anything.
My phone longer notifies me when I receive a text. I haven't changed anything on it.
