My z3 is abt 6 months old. Recently I locked my phone and tried unlocking it but the screen never turned on though I can see the screen lighting up a bluish colour but the display doesn't appear. I have to switch off the phone for around half an hour and restart for it to work.

Result: After about 5s, the timer alarm sounds for about 0.5s and is mute afterwards. If there's music playing in the background (from the walkman app), you may get just a short 'blank' in the audio stream (also about 0.5s long).
Screen unlock pattern failed 20 times, phone is now locked pending google username and password, which I have enter hundreds of times with no success, I know the username and password is correct as I can log in via PC and view latest downloads on my phone etc.
Have tried to repair the phone via PC companion, everytime the download begins an error message comes up "unable to start update"
Have been to the optus shop and contacted sony over the phone, being told by optus that my phone is 7 days over its warranty and it will cost me to unlock, Sony helpdesk advised that it was "Easy" to fix and i just needed to repair the phone via PC companion, which clearly is not as easy as stated. I am left without a phone which is badly affecting my work, I have been told it will take at least 2 weeks for the phone to be unlocked if it is done by the provider, google password is not working.
I'm with an iPhone 4 with iOS 5.1.
Since I upgraded to 5.1, I encounter the above mentioned problem. On tapping the camera icon on the locked iPhone screen, I can't launch the built-in camera. Nothing happens. (I must unlock the iPhone and tap the camera icon in order to take a picture).
1. I didn't have this problem after upgrading to iOS 5.0
2. I can still access the music buttons on the locked screen on iOS 5.1 though.
I want to use the Stamina mode on my Z5. But it doesn't work because I still receiving notification from messenger, whatsapp and skype... So apparently it doesn't work at all...

I see on some forums that I need to clear data for a certain app ("eco mode controler") but this app doesn't exist on my Z5 (maybe it does on Z2 or Z3...).
I bought my Xperia z2 yesterday. I I downloaded some apps (whatsapp, facebook, intagram....) using wifi. But they doesn't work when i switch to 2G neither 3G. Only Google works on 3G.

Soft keys doesn't work but some time its work i have to touch again and  again to click home and back button , when i open camera application even i cant go back because there bottom dots not clickable and not working on my mobile, i factory reset my mobile using pc compaing too but still i have that problem, and chekced using safe mode.

View 20 Replies View Relatedi have a problem with wlan. i have added 2 wlan in my wlan list. not of this to wlan are connecting automatical, if the smartphone was in this range. if i unlook my display, the wlan is connecting. if i go to a other location come back, wlan doesn´t reconnected to my wlan.
wlan policy: never router for tests: fritz box, speedport, lancom, d-link -> all with same result
I have test without encryption and with encryption, with channel manually and automatical and mode b/g/n and b/g, with ssid enabled and disabled -> all with same result I have test the same configurations with iPhone, Samsung and HTC. -> works fine....
Only neo v doesn´t connect automatical to wlan, if its in range.
The location setting in smart actions doesn't seem to work when the display is off.I have set the phone to turn off bluetooth when I am at home or work. If the display is on, it works fine, but if the display is off, the smart action is not triggered. The smart action doesn't start or end if the display is off, it just stays in the mode it was in when the display was last on.I had a smart action that turned off a few things when the display is off, but I disabled that smart action and I still had the issue of the location based smart actions not triggering.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm experiencing some weird problems on my 5800 xm. When I unlock the phone after it has been locked for a while the touch screen doesn't react at all. But if I lock and unlock again, it starts to work. Not a very big problem but kinda annoying. The other problem is that none of the physical buttons are working, except for the on/off button.
All those problems came at once and from no where. I hadn't installed or updated anything recently when it came. I've tried to update to v.50 and I've tried a "soft reset" but it isn't working. I can't do a hard reset since the buttons used for doing aren't working.
It feels like it's some kind of software problem rather than a hardware problem or what do you think? Anything I can try before going back to the store?
When i lock the phone with the slider on the right side, the screen used to go black (or any screensaver would go on, if activated).Suddenly, when locking the phone, nothing happens. the screen dimms a little bit, but it's still on. It doenst matter weather i activate any kind of screensaver, the display always stays on (the keys are locked, i also see the locked sign in the menu bar). When i restart the phone, nothing changes.Only when I take out the battery for a while, the screen saver comes back up again. Everything seems to be working fine, until the next restart. Then the same problem happens again.
Is this a known bug (couldn't find anything on goole)? Am I doing anything wrong? It's driving me really crazy to see my Display on all the time (I also don't want to take out the battery after every restart).I also have to say that this happens to me on FP1 and FP2, even on a 2nd phone.
I bought a Z5 the other day and I haven't tried NFC until I got me a scr42 style cover for it. I noticed the smart window function doesn't work and realised that the phone doesn't display the NFC icon in the status bar. I've tried activating NFC from both the pull-down menu and the settings and in both the option lights up as if it were enabled, but the icon does not appear and the phone doesn't react to the tag on the cover.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSuddenly my xperia has stopped working when i try to interact with it when the game pad is not open. i can lock it, but on unlocking the display simply shows me a pixelated screen and it is un-usable. However the phone functions normally when i slide the game pad out, i can send and recieve texts, the display and touch screen work fine i'm not sure what to do and cant think why this would happen because the phone functions perfectly when the game pad is out.

I wanted to use the USB audio function on my phone to connect to my DAC and then connect my DAC to my headphone amp.
This works fine with my Sony Xperia Z3 and my OnePlus One when running Android 4.4.
However, with the Samsung S6 (running Samsung's touchwiz version of Lollipop) the USB audio function no longer works.
After upgrading my OnePlus One to Cyanogenmod 12 (running Lollipop) , the USB Audio also ceased to function.
I can't get into my phone because my password doesn't work. How do I bypass this and reset my password?

After  dipping my phone in water for about 10 seconds at a depth of 15 cm, the touch screen went crazy. Brightness was at its maximun ignoring the ambient light sensor. 20 minutes later the phone was off. I thought was the battery, but before this, the battery was at 60 %. I let it in rise for two days, but it doesn't start or charge the battery. Is dead. Two times, when I connect the usb charger a red led light turns on, but turns off after a few seconds.
