Option I'm missing on my Lumia 800 is that I cannot add two mobile numbers in the phonebook. Why not add Mobile (Private) and Mobile (Work) for an instance.
Now I'm having the problem I cannot send an SMS to a friends Work mobile number. Is this a known problem and will there be an update for?
I have had a problem for last couple of weeks - When I got the phone (around 2mths ago), I created all my main contacts, added their names, numbers and email addresses. So, at least a month goes by, but then one or two contacts start losing their phone numbers (the name and email address remains). I have tried everything from simply entering and saving the number again via the phonebook and even adding the number from text messages sent by the person in question - each time I have ensured that I have clicked 'done' and/or the save symbol. I exit the phonebook, but if I check back later it's been lost again.
This seems to happen with only one or two particular contacts - I am not sure what is unique about them.
I have read the manual re: phonebook, so I am following all of the steps so I am not sure whether or not the phone has a fault.
What is the best way to do this without having to connect to an external device? Is there a way through Sky Drive?

I can also make and receive calls, but the phonebook will not sync with the car. This is a deal breaker for me, as I've had multiple IPhone/Android phones that handle this seemingly common operation without any trouble at all.As an experiment, I paired this phone with another car, and the phone book DOES sync. What I get is a message appears on the phone asking for permission to share contacts This does not happen with my car, however.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI am very interested about the Nokia E52. I think it is a good phone. I have a question though, is it true that you can't 'use detail' on an incoming SMS? ( i.e. someone sent you an SMS with a telephone number, you have to WRITE IT DOWN for you to save it. call it, etc..., you can't just 'use number'...), I am very bothered by this because this feature is so basic that it is included almost on all mobile phones... and SHOULD be included as well. By the way, I've read about this article on a e52 review from a website. Please tell me if the review is true or false.

When its sat on the kitchen table, it just dials it, more oddly it switches to loud speaker and it does it about 10-15 times same number one after anotheritched it off and back on and for a few days its ok and then it does it again. View 7 Replies View RelatedI cannot have more than one mobile phone item for a person. In India some of them carry dual SIM card phones and both will be valid. In Lumia 800, I dont see an option to add two mobile items. I can do with a work around by choosing one mobile item with Windows Live Account and another with Google Account. But then that is not the right way to do it. If I need it both on same account, then I cannot do it.
This feature is available in all the Android phones. Also i am facing another issue is that Lumia 800 does not sync any mobile item #2 of Google account, so I have to go to Google and manually add that phone number to my phone, which is painful.

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been looking for a Bluetooth keyboard for my Lumia 900. I found a Microsoft Wedge Mobile keyboard and thought that I should be able to connect. I get connection on the Bluetooth prompt at the Lumia and it shows Microsoft wedge mobile - press to connect. And when I press connect I get the screen with the pincode. There is a pincode that I key in at the Wedge keyboard and then press OK at the Lumia, but then I get the message "Unable to connect"

Now when select Internet Sharing to ON, asks if want to activate that feature in my plan. Is there anyway to bypass this or to get another app to do this .. like JoikuSpot ?
Yesterday I upgraded the software on my phone to the latest and after I did that all the applications/settings/themes were vanished and the phonebook is empty too.Is there any way to restore at least the phonebook entries?

When I click on the hard key ( Phonebook ), then it shows only two options ( GoOnline, Chat with buddy ) But if I want to write a message to someone and want to select his name, then I can see the entire telephonebook. that means the telephone book is there on the phone but it is no more accessible via the hard key phone button.

Phonebook -
You can save a same number to a new or existing contact. With my old nokia phones, when you try to save a number that is already in your phonebook, it will prompt you if you would like to either continue or update the number... but with the phonebook for the 5530, it doesnt prompt the user.
Logs-
i chose to keep the logs for the last 30 days but when i open my logs, it only shows the logs for aroung past 10 days.. i tried waiting for few hours for the information to load up but still it cannot go farther than 10 days.
Real Player-
i transferred video files from my PC to my fone.. when i tried to play it on the phone, it says file not supported.. i checked the file format and it seems that the format is listed on the compatible formats for real player.
i already updated the software of my fone but still the same problem

I've tried recently to move back on my old phone, Nokia 6131. After I've synced contacts, i've got strange behavior. I've got contacts written on english and on russian. When I'm entering Names from menu, english ones are ok, but russian contacts displays as only first 5 symbols and then "...". When I enter contact - it displays everything normal.

On my Icon w/ a Verizon account, each notification nested within a single contact or send SMS number (was always "6245"). However, with AT&T I am getting each notification from a distinct number, such as "1 (410) 100-030," "1 (410) 100-031," "1 (410) 100-032," etc., and as per the attached (these messages are from RedOxgyen Outlook SMS that works the same as calendar notifications). It renders the calendar and other Outlook SMS functions useless, as it overwhelms my SMS inbox.
When I do write an SMS to someone I clearly see her name but I get the reply on another thread with the phone number instead of hear name so 2 problem here, why another thread and why the phone number rather the name. Same thing when someone send me an SMS I do receive it as a number rather then the name and when I do reply it creates a new thread with the name of the person.
