I have a Nokia Lumia 610 and for some odd reason last two weeks it randomly dials numbers either mobile or landline. When its sat on the kitchen table, it just dials it, more oddly it switches to loud speaker and it does it about 10-15 times same number one after anotheritched it off and back on and for a few days its ok and then it does it again. Anyone ever come across this and is it fixable
View 4 RepliesWhenever I carried my iPhone in a pant pocket it would inadvertently activate voice control and take any further noise or touch as a command to dial the most recently dialed number. I know that this normally happens when the home button is pressed for a few seconds.Â
Yet, after I had disabled Siri, set the screen to lock, plus I had the code protection in place, Siri would still start up and dial phone numbers.Â
The only solution, that I have found in this forum, is to enable Siri, enable code protection and then disable Siri in the code protection menu. This is not acceptable.Â

Option I'm missing on my Lumia 800 is that I cannot add two mobile numbers in the phonebook. Why not add Mobile (Private) and Mobile (Work) for an instance.
Now I'm having the problem I cannot send an SMS to a friends Work mobile number. Is this a known problem and will there be an update for?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI'm having an odd problem with my Lumia 800, The phone randomly shuts down, it doesn't seem to be related to the power levels as it does it when fully charged. It can go 2 days or 5 minutes before doing this. The odd thing is that to turn it back on I have to plug it into my PC, it comes back on immediately... it does not seem to come on if I plug it into the mains. This is a recent issue it worked for a couple of months without any issues.

Im unable to call Tollfree numbers like 18001026022 ....I get two issues when i try to call those numbers ...
1. Some times it says Call route Not found and it gets disconnected...
2. Sometimes it says the TollFreeNumber you are dialing might not be a Tollfreenumber and I get get charged as ISDN call even for TOLLFREE numbers....I checked using my sim in other phones and it worked perfectly fine....

View 3 Replies View RelatedTried a few searches, but didn't find anything specific to the subject.Received my Lumia 920 last night, and since then it has either hung or rebooted randomly over a dozen times. It seems to happen mostly when navigating through screens or accessing apps. It will sit and stream music from the Nokia Music service fine... I have to perform a reset to recover the phone when it hangs.

It turns off and back on, I didn't loose any files, but the sim card is blocked and people can't call me then. I have the newest software, use the original charger, battery etc. Phone turns off without any massage, vibration or else, when it turns on I get the default starting screen and the phone asks me for pin and works normally afterwards.

Every few minutes while idle, the phone will power down and immediately power up again. This does render the phone useless to me.. When trying to shut it down to remove the SIM card I noticed I cannot even shut it off. It would instantly turn itself back on again.
Did anyone else notice this kind of behaviour from their Lumia 920 (or maybe other phones as well)? I was really looking forward to this device and this really ruins it for me
The volume on my new Nokia Lumia 920 will randomly go very low. So far this only happens when the phone has no need to make any sounds for a long period such as playing music or videos. It goes to like volume of 1/30, but increasing it to 30/30 does nothing to increase it. only putting it to 0/30 mutes as normal but still doesn't go past 1. I have had to restart my phone several times in order to temporarily fix this issue. My phone is completely up to date with the software.

I've made sure the phone is up to date with updates and all apps are updated. I can't think of anything. The only thing close to common is with a few crashes I was playing audio.

Yesterday the battery got really hot and it kept showing resume on the screen. I turned it off and then back on and it was fine. Other times it acts like the back button is being pressed all the time, and sometimes the phone is just unresponsive to anything. Restarting it seems to fix it but only for a short time.
View 24 Replies View RelatedWhilst on a call this morning my phone randomly called Orange answer phone and put my original call on hold, I cancelled the answer phone call and went back to original then within the next minute the original call went quiet and I heard the ringing tone and discovered it was randomly calling a number (it was not a saved contact and I had to go through history later to see where it had come from and found it was a call I had received last Saturday - so not even a call in recent history) I have no speed dials set up - I did double check this! When prompted I did the latest upgrade last week to v7.1 bundle 1149(v7.1.0.342 - platform 5.1.0.276) and was pleased was prompted to do this as it included the update to wifi calling which I need in certain areas though I didn't have it enabled today.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have this problem since day one. Build .29, then came the FW update, then build .63, always the same. I did a hard reset three times since I have the phone but the problem is still here. And now to the actual problem: I have a plantronics voyager legend headset and sometimes during a call, sometimes when not in a call, the phone disconnects from the headset and it seems to be frozen, I can't even unlock the screen for 5-10 seconds. Bluetooth option becomes gray and sometimes BT turns on again after 10-15s, sometimes I have to reboot the phone because BT can't be turned on. Same thing happens when the phone is connected to my car, but when it's playing music on bluetooth speaker, everything is working ok.

View 24 Replies View RelatedBought my 950 from AT&T. I use Office 365 and Outlook SMS calendar notifications (via Exchange) which are sent via carrier email to text.
On my Icon w/ a Verizon account, each notification nested within a single contact or send SMS number (was always "6245"). However, with AT&T I am getting each notification from a distinct number, such as "1 (410) 100-030," "1 (410) 100-031," "1 (410) 100-032," etc., and as per the attached (these messages are from RedOxgyen Outlook SMS that works the same as calendar notifications). It renders the calendar and other Outlook SMS functions useless, as it overwhelms my SMS inbox.
When I do write an SMS to someone I clearly see her name but I get the reply on another thread with the phone number instead of hear name so 2 problem here, why another thread and why the phone number rather the name. Same thing when someone send me an SMS I do receive it as a number rather then the name and when I do reply it creates a new thread with the name of the person.

What happens is, for whatever reason WIFI just randomly stops working. It'll show she is connected(both in the Icon at the top where you swipe and under settings/wifi) yet it doesn't actually load anything.
She'll be searching on Bing, Facebook, etc etc and she'll get the loading dots at the top of her screen that'll run endlessly. I have to then go into her settings and turn off wifi and then back on and it'll start working but then eventually it does it again shortly where there is no data or whatever.
