For several weeks I'm trying to update my Identity at App. World. They keep on saying the following: BlackBerry Identity installation failed. Please try again later. (80003) I'm really had it with this.

But the update has not happened.I have connected my mobile to the desktop and Connection to smart phone is successful. It did show my PN on the Browser. Updation of the App World Software just goes on without any info that it is complete. I left the device for the whole day.So I am unable to download any software on my blackberry device.

I have PSILOC World Traveler version 1.9(3).I checked for updates to this from within this App a few days before, an update for World Traveler was available.Now when I try to update to latest version, the update utility downloads new version but after the installation process begins, the installation utility notifies with "update failed" error.

So I've created an id via computer using my email and password. Able to log in on computer using these. When I have tried using my handset i get the message "Unable to validate the email address and password". Was on the phone to three uk for several hours yesterday and no joy.

View 1 Replies View Relatedv5.0.0.67 I tried to log into Blackberry app world I entered my email address onto Blackberry ID user name I no this is the right email address I have after a few attempts entered my password which is correct one after a little time I get this message "Enter the user name associated with this smart phone". all i can do is press the ok button and that takes me back to Blackberry app world loggin . I no I am putting the correct email and pass word in but still i cannot get on to app world I have tried using the forgot password this confirms my email address then asks me for password recovery question which I cannot remember at all. I do not have many attemps left on my password recovery and now I am stuck and do not no what to do. When I got to the download page I did everything (authenticating, etc.) as per usual.The download began but then I received a message saying "FaceBook not available from AppWorld". I figured it could be a site problem so I forgot about it but when I tried it again this week same message. I am completely unable to download any apps or updates from AppWorld (I can from third part sites but that's all).Have done the removing battery and reinstalling thing but...no dice. View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a 8530 with OS5 and a couple hours ago I was prompted about the App World 3.1 update. I happily did the update but after the reboot I got this error:
"Uncaught exception: java.lang.NoClassDefFoundError" And I get the same error every time I try to run App World. I have tried uninstalling App World and re-installing, Wipe the phone and install before restoring from my back up and I get the same error.So here I am now with an empty phone and no working App World to get my apps back.
I just got my phone yesterday. when i opened the app wprld it asked me to upgrade and redirected me to a site from where i could upgrade it. however, that kept giving me an error. i delete the app world completely reboot my phone and then try downloading the app world on my handset. i did that just now but it still keeps giving me the same error which says
"Error: Invalid manifest or application descriptor. The "MIDlet-Name" attribute is missing"
I have a curve 8520. I have an update showing on my main home screen for ap world, I go ito app world and there is NO update and I ca not get rid of the icon on my main screen how annoying seeing it!

Vodafone suggested I cleaned the memory (options, security, advanced security, memory cleaning), and then tried to delete my old BBID (the one that worked on my old Bold 9700) and set up a new BBID, but that didn't work either. After looking online others have tried security wipes but many say they haven't worked. Recently, I have been noticing my App World is freezing when I try to download or update my applications. See, I am trying to download Twitter to my phone, and every time I click "download" it says "please wait". It stays like this forever, and I can't press the back button or blackberry menu button. Occasionally, it tells me I need a Blackberry Identity update, which I can't seem to get access to either. After this happens, I can't do anything on the App store, yet I can still run the phone, its just the App store that is frozen. I restart my phone after this, and it resets everything, just to have it happen again. I know I have the Identity update, and all my software is up to date as well.

When I hit the download button it takes me to the sign in for BlackBerry ID, then to terms and conditions and then to my ID settings! The only way I can get off this screen is to press Discard, which takes me back to where I started! I just keep going round in circles.

When the Application Loader launches, it only provides me with the option of maintaining my OS and downgrading my OS to the older 4.6.1 version. I have previously used the exact same steps on another Curve 8520 and I had successfully upgraded the OS. After the upgrade was successful on the first phone, only did I try upgrading the second phone. Is there anything I did wrongly the second time around?
