View 1 RepliesEvery single member of our family was awakened at 2 am last night when their phones were beeping about a system update. ALL of our phones were in "Do Not Disturb" mode with the only exclusion list being a couple family members' phone numbers. There is no option to block system update alerts in the middle of the night. There is no slider to select/deselect that. It seems like this would be a pretty basic option.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI decided to update my samsung s6 after the update thing had reminded me three times. But it won't stop going from the samsung screen, to the AT&T scree, to the optimizing apps screen, and loading maybe 12/65 apps, and then going black, and then back to the samsung screen. I don't know what to do, because it's been doing this over and over again for more than 5 minutes.

View 22 Replies View RelatedI just got an S6 and immediately rooted via ping pong. The problem I've got is that the phone downloaded the 5.11 update and then asked me if I wanted to install, which I obviously don't. I just used the back button to leave the update screen, but now I'm left with a notification saying "System Update - Update Postponed".
Can I get rid of this somehow?
I had a system update on my brand new s6 and now it won't vibrate for notifications it works for the keyboard and when it turns on and off so the motor is good. And I went into setting and it's all on. But I just can't get it to work.

I've done full Factory Resets twice now and also many cache wipes but I'm wondering if that original T-Mobile update on the first day got hung up and won't fix itself even with Factory Resets. And, wondering if perhaps other T-Mobile users have the same problem too causing the litany of issues we've seen.
My Galaxy S6 was one of the loudest phones I've owned. Its still loud but only when listening to music or watching YouTube, every other app isn't as loud anymore.
For example, I got a music game, when I listen to the song from the music player its perfectly loud, when I listen to the same exact mp3 in the game its no as loud anymore like it use to be.
Is this a known bug? is there a fix or update coming to address this?
PS: I noticed this RIGHT AFTER the 5.1.1 update (on verizon) before every app in my phone was loud
I've tried to install Helvetica Neue by overwriting "Roboto-Regular.ttf" but only some UI elements have been changed, settings menu is still unaffected, which font file is being used in quick settings, settings menu and notification bar?
Changing font in "Settings > Display > Font Style" will change all UI elements, maybe there is one way to add my own font file into that list?
kies advised that a system update was available for my S5 so I updated. Since then, my alarm doesn't sound in silent mode and system doesn't allow me to change sounds of silent mode.
I've tried 3rd party alarm as well, but didn't make a difference.
So I started to update my BB 9700 tonight, since it hadn't been done in awhile. I followed the instructions including the "don't unplug the device if you ever want it to work again" segment. All was going well until I got to step 10 of 12 (Loading Applications) It has now been trying to load applications for over 3 hours, with no advancement in the status bar at the bottom of the screen. My Desktop manager says it is disconnected, but I'm not sure how or when that happened. My screen is white with the computer and the BB and a pair of arrows, but nothing has happened for hours.I'm afraid to disconnect incase I lose everything on my BB and render it unusable!

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a Samsung Galaxy S6, I've had it for about 3 months. It was randomly restarting itself last month but has since stopped that. But 2 days ago I got a whatsapp message and the notification light was flashing but I couldn't get my phone to respond and the screen stayed black. I rebooted it but it did it again the next time I received a message. It is still doing it every time I get a message (whatsapp or text) if the screen is off. It only responds if I reboot. I've cleared the cache partition and it hasn't made a difference. A few times when I've rebooted it it has shut down again as soon as it comes on and does it a couple of times before staying on. I'm pretty sure it shouldn't be doing this! I don't want to do a factory reset.

View 1 Replies View RelatedTwice in the past week I got my phone out and it was off and unresponsive. I had to do soft boot with power volume down to get the phone working. This is something that I have not experienced with other android phones. I am on Verizon with stock Galaxy S6 running 5.0.2.
Is this a defective phone or some application causing problems. What steps can I take to troubleshoot the problem. Having my phone randomly stop working is unacceptable as this is my primary line. I can't afford to miss calls.
