View 1 Replies View RelatedI just got an S6 and immediately rooted via ping pong. The problem I've got is that the phone downloaded the 5.11 update and then asked me if I wanted to install, which I obviously don't. I just used the back button to leave the update screen, but now I'm left with a notification saying "System Update - Update Postponed".
Can I get rid of this somehow?
I had a system update on my brand new s6 and now it won't vibrate for notifications it works for the keyboard and when it turns on and off so the motor is good. And I went into setting and it's all on. But I just can't get it to work.

View 1 Replies View RelatedEvery single member of our family was awakened at 2 am last night when their phones were beeping about a system update. ALL of our phones were in "Do Not Disturb" mode with the only exclusion list being a couple family members' phone numbers. There is no option to block system update alerts in the middle of the night. There is no slider to select/deselect that. It seems like this would be a pretty basic option.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI downloaded the new system update, now my phone is in a constant recovery reboot saying installing system update. I press the power button plus the volume up and i can see what it is installing it goes through the same thing over and over and just reboots back in the recovery booting again when its done installing...what is causing this i cant do a system reset either it wont let me (volume up +home+power ) does not work , removing the batter does not work (soft reset)...
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to wipe my cache partition, before the boot menu appears I get a message every time that says "Installing System Update" and the little Android guy appears and acts like he's doing something. Normally functioning phones seeing this message before getting to their cache wipe?
I've done full Factory Resets twice now and also many cache wipes but I'm wondering if that original T-Mobile update on the first day got hung up and won't fix itself even with Factory Resets. And, wondering if perhaps other T-Mobile users have the same problem too causing the litany of issues we've seen.
My Galaxy S6 was one of the loudest phones I've owned. Its still loud but only when listening to music or watching YouTube, every other app isn't as loud anymore.
For example, I got a music game, when I listen to the song from the music player its perfectly loud, when I listen to the same exact mp3 in the game its no as loud anymore like it use to be.
Is this a known bug? is there a fix or update coming to address this?
PS: I noticed this RIGHT AFTER the 5.1.1 update (on verizon) before every app in my phone was loud
kies advised that a system update was available for my S5 so I updated. Since then, my alarm doesn't sound in silent mode and system doesn't allow me to change sounds of silent mode.
I've tried 3rd party alarm as well, but didn't make a difference.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI keep getting the OTA update on my Droid 4 and I let it download and then say install. It goes through the motions like it's installing but then GB loads back up and I see an error prompt that says the update failed. I am not rooted and I'm running an unmodified 2.3.6 GB that the Motorola Droid 4 comes with. Any ideas why it's failing? Also, after I get the fail prompt if I want to try it again I have to download the update file all over again which takes a long time even over my wifi internet connection, is there a way to store a copy of the update file on my sdcard so I don't have to keep downloading it?

View 9 Replies View RelatedThe update keeps failing and the message "process1 initialization failed" keeps coming up on a blue screen. I have reset the device a number of times by depressing the volume and power buttons but the same message keeps coming up. Each time the phone keeps restarting, displaying the spinning gears and shutting down again.
View 1 Replies View RelatedThis morning I was prompted to download & install the new update OTA. I have attempted to do so 4-5 times now. Each time, it completes the download, reboots the phone to start the update, then when the update progress bar is about 1/2 of the way through, an icon with an exclamation point appears & then the update stops. The phone proceeds to boot up like normal. After it finishes booting up it displays a message stating that the update failed.I really would like to NOT have to do a factory reset to my phone just to get the update to install

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a new Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge which is using android lollipop 5.0.2 and suffer from the following problems.
Video problem: I could not watch any video in my device. In Facebook application and got this error “failed to play video an unknown error has occurred". YouTube app. got this error "there was a problem while playing touch to retry". Gallery video even if it has been recorded by the camera earlier.
Audio problem: I’m not able to play any music, got this error “sorry, the player does not support this type of audio file." and this file is the "Over the Horizon" song which came with the device. When i go to the settings to change the ringtone I am not hearing any sound for all them. I did not put the phone in silent mode but no sound for any received calls, notifications or SMS.
I tried everything i know to solve this issue, I done all of the following but it does not works: Clear the cache memory. Uninstall all the application from the device. Factory reset. Update software.
The only thing work with me is to restart the device but it will not solve the problem permanently, it will happen again after few hours.
I'm on the Three network in the UK and upgraded to ICS yesterday. Since then the S2 continually crashes and restarts every few minutes. I took a backup before I upgraded although I didn't backup my photos. Because of the constant crashing I can't use the phone long enough to do much of anything. When I try and run apps, like Google Play the S2 becomes unresponsive. Not sure if my problems are caused by an app, but at one point I did manage to get a list of all the apps that were running:
[code]...
I've set my phone to auto backup my photos when I'm on my wi-fi and also plugged in and charging. It says my backup has failed with a little yield logo with an exclamation point. I clicked the manual refresh circle to the right of that message and it keeps failing. If I view my photos in the Gallery almost all of them have only the device card symbol, and only a few from when the phone was new have the colored logo on the duplicate photo.
View 1 Replies View Relatedmy phone has been playing up and generally malfunctioning lately. It seems to work fine for a day or so before freezing, and either rebooting itself or forcing me to manually reboot it using power + volume down. This seems to send it into a bootloop where it generally freezes during the Samsung animation with the pulsing squares. This sequence continues with me manually rebooting, also trying to boot to safe mode and to recovery and after various attempts, i successfully got into recovery without it freezing on the blue android.
I then decided to factory reset as a last option, having looked around on forums for solutions. However, I now do not know what to do as it seems to have frozen during the factory reset. I dont have screenshots but the script reads as follows :
dm-verity verification failed. . .
-- Wiping data. . .
