After today's OTA update I can't open the phone/message/ie app, I then reset my phone but the updates are still there. When receiving a phone call the phone just freezes and restarts.

I have reset the device a number of times by depressing the volume and power buttons but the same message keeps coming up. Each time the phone keeps restarting, displaying the spinning gears and shutting down again.

At first I figured I needed to turn on WiFi calling to assist in sending...this worked for a time. But now it no longer works. I can receive images just fine. I put in an image of the error that my girlfriend sees when I send her a picture.
I can guarantee that it's not a data issue. I have excellent LTE and crazy fast WiFi.
I have tried everything I can imagine up and to a factory data reset. Which I did just this last weekend.
I can send images via email, hangouts, Facebook messenger etc. Just text message problems at this point. I like the stock app and would like to keep it.
I work as an IT specialist solving people's problems all day. I've had every HTC flagship since the EVO 4g and I'm finally stumped. This is a Sprint M8 btw.
Everytime I try to backup my app settings it fails. I've tried resetting but nothing works. My last backup was about a month ago. It gets to 97% and then fails.

I get an error message: "Installation error, Some parts of the the update of the software could'nt be installed or started."Then i tried to update using the Update Service. The Update Service tells me that i already have the latest software installed, but ICS is not installed.When i connect to my laptop again, PC Companion still says there is a software update (ICS). It goes through the motions like it's installing but then GB loads back up and I see an error prompt that says the update failed. I am not rooted and I'm running an unmodified 2.3.6 GB that the Motorola Droid 4 comes with. Any ideas why it's failing? Also, after I get the fail prompt if I want to try it again I have to download the update file all over again which takes a long time even over my wifi internet connection, is there a way to store a copy of the update file on my sdcard so I don't have to keep downloading it?

Each time, it completes the download, reboots the phone to start the update, then when the update progress bar is about 1/2 of the way through, an icon with an exclamation point appears & then the update stops. The phone proceeds to boot up like normal. My live tile for Outlook was working until the update. When I get a new email, I don't get the unread message count on the live tile. This worked before the update. I also removed the email account and re-added it, but the message count does not show up on a new email.
I do get the alert sound when I get an email along with a notification, just no count on the live tile.
So got a new phone... And... No camera! The camera crash when the phone starts with the video app. Cannot open the camera app (the app crash before anything is displayed). Other camera app (Google camera) says "cannot connect to camera). Factory reset failed.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI, like several others are having issues with getting text messages from the cloud onto my new Lumia 950 which I've had for about 4 days now. As of this moment it's still stuck from January 2013 and it hasn't taken this long before so it could be a server side that's been causing the issue. So I tried using the Transfer My Data app to transfer text messages and whenever I pair them it doesn't allow my Lumia 920 to transfer texts only contacts.
Is that because it's using an old Bluetooth that doesn't allow transfer, but I paired it the opposite way and it transferred over my Lumia 950 texts onto my 920... . So I tried using the contacts+message backup app by uploading the text backup using OneDrive and then downloading that onto my Lumia 950 but that wouldn't work either since the restore option was grayed out.
I have many troubles with updating my n97 (Product code 0576503) from v21 to v22.i have try Ovi Suite v2.2.0.241 but after preparing to install i got message ( installation failed - the connection to device was lost.....)
and in NSU v2.5.2 i got (no software available for your device - Please not that your mobile service provider, operator or carrier may not have approved the latest nokia device firmware available........)And on FOTA after downloading and restarting i got (This update is not compatible with your device)
Yesterday I updated my Lumia 1020 to Lumia Cyan. I've been using WP 8.1.1 with developer preview. Today I left my phone at home, I didn't use it and when I tried to pick it up I actually got scared, it was so extremely hot that I thought it will explode. After few seconds I got warning that battery is low but I know that it was around 70% when iI left it(I've left it only for 1 hour). I turned it off so it could cold before I charge it.

It says my backup has failed with a little yield logo with an exclamation point. I clicked the manual refresh circle to the right of that message and it keeps failing. If I view my photos in the Gallery almost all of them have only the device card symbol, and only a few from when the phone was new have the colored logo on the duplicate photo.
