I got a bricked yesterday. then i reset the phone. it is come back to work and all applications are fine. but i could not get the update from nokia back. such as extra+info or network+ display+touch etc. Like that . Someone know how could I get it back ? I've been wait more than 1 day, and still get nothing here.

Today I left my phone at home, I didn't use it and when I tried to pick it up I actually got scared, it was so extremely hot that I thought it will explode. I believe it is synced automatically to Sky-drive but I cannot find evidence of this. I would like to have control of this data for easy retrieval and stored on my PC. Windows phone software on my PC is sub standard in comparison with Nokia Suite. It is clunky, contacts cannot be backed up, photos have no picture reference when transferred and the overall Windows Phone software on my PC is second rate in contrast to the Windows Phone 8 phone experience. Can anyone enlighten me on how I can easily copy my contacts to PC. No problem getting contacts into the phone. Just unclear on how to get a copy of them out.

Unfortunately, apps "disappear". Vine was installed, signed in, and pinned to the Start screen. Now it is a blank tile. In the app list I see the Vine app but the icon is just a black square. If I click on it I get a black screen that says "Resuming...".
The 950XL has rebooted 4 times since the firmware update. It still gets very warm not hot though. Keyboard crash is prevalent. The whatsapp app does not open scanner for connecting with whatsapp web.
Should I replace my device with a new one, I have got option till 26th Dec 2015. But will that solve, I have read a number of such complaints on thread, so I don't believe it is hardware.
I cracked my screen on my original 1520. AT&T sent a replacement device (via Insurance). As soon as I got the phone, I installed Preview for Developers and checked for phone update. After updating and restarting, the phone is stuck on airplane mode. When you go into settings and try to tap the button to switch to off it doesn't do anything, however, when I swipe it to the left the toggle moves but once you let go it goes right back to the right. You can toggle the airplain mode on/off in the notifications bar but the phone still shows it is on airplane mode with no data or phone service.
I have already turned phone off and on and have also hard resetted the phone to no avail. What is odd is before the update, phone was working fine with phone service and everything, now it's just stuck on airplane mode with no service, but everything else works fine.
I have an ATT Lumia 1020 that has started recording only "white noise" when recording videos. The picture records just fine but there is no audio. Happened after the phone was updated to Lumia Black.

Android tablets and iPhones having no issues connecting. Have restarted the router, verified MAC Address. Deleted MAC from access control. View 1 Replies View RelatedWhen maps are downloaded and installed on Nokia Drive, how can it be determined that they have been updated so that the installed version can be refreshed in Nokia Drive?If there is no way to determine it, can Nokia consider adding this as a feature request for the next release of Nokia Drive? 1) Connect Nokia Maps application with Nokia Drive so that selecting an address should use Nokia Drive for navigation.
2) Nokia Maps does not allow to copy the address of a POI in the clipboard on Windows Phone. Please support this.
3) Nokai Drive should support set a home location that should be easily accessible (just like it is in other navigation apps).
4) Support for favorites in Nokia Drive. These should be available offline and also remain insync with the favorites marked in Nokia Maps (which are now synchronized with the user's account).
5) Nokia Drive does not support show the route details for a particular route - this is helpful in getting an overview of the route that will be taken to reach the destination. Please support this.
6) Nokia Drive can give longer/unoptimized routes when compared with other providers like Google or Bing maps. Can you please bring the routing quality upto par with the competition?
7) It will be nice to see weather at destination from within Nokia Drive when a route is being planned.
Actually, I never experienced ANY problems w/ my Lumia 920 before the update.
I installed the latest update a day ago, and now my phone has rebooted twice on its own today.
My Lumia 800 has been relegated to status of spare phone but out of curiosity did the update to see what difference there is and now can't send MMS.I'm on T-Mobile UK.All worked perfectly before. Have tried their "we'll send you the setting"automated help which didn't work as their message to me didn't get through. Don't know if I care enough to call their customer care.

I, of course, tried to restore the phone with Zune, but this is not possible I only get the 801812E0 error. I tried soft and hard reset and whatever, but nothing seems to work, it looks like my sim card is fried. My wife then took the phone to the shop, and they said I had to order a new sim card, but it is not true, because the sim card works just fine if I put it into another phone. I don't care about any of the data that was on the phone, I just want it to work again.
View 2 Replies View RelatedIt was just officially annouced by Microsoft 40 minutes ago at the Windows Phone Summit that current windows phones would get WP 7.8 update with some features of WP8 but not WP8 itself.
The biggest worry is that WP8 will allow native code for apps, and that many apps will thus not work on "older" phones.
The Lumia 900 is only a few months old and the 800 and 710 and 610 are not much older (all are less than 9 months on the market), but they will not be getting Windows Phone 8 update just like all first generation Windows Phones. Nokia must have known for some time as well that current Lumia buyers would not get WP8 update, this seems unfair especially for Lumia 900 buyers.
How does Nokia plan to make this more fair for current Lumia users?
