I have an ATT Lumia 1020 that has started recording only "white noise" when recording videos. The picture records just fine but there is no audio. Happened after the phone was updated to Lumia Black.

I am having trouble picking up audio while taking a video on my 1020. The speaker will play other audio (music, videos, internet videos), just not when I record. Also nothing comes out of my speaker phone when I switch it on. My phone updated to a newer version and that's when it stopped working.

It only happens with the Nokia Camera app. It doesn't happen with the default Windows Phone camera app. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and it does not fix the problem. View 2 Replies View RelatedAfter updating my 1020 to Black the 4G option disappeared from the Settings (Highest connection speed). Now I can only see 2G/3G, not 4G anymore.
Before the update the 4G option was available, selected and working fine, since my french carrier (free mobile) has LTE activated.
It's driving me crazy, the 3G network with this carrier sucks like hell, but the 4G is very good.
I do not have this as an option in my camera settings, I am on Vodafone UK, updated today on a new phone.
View 3 Replies View RelatedI've got a black 1020 (Carrier: Bouygues Telecom) that can't work with Black Update. When I update it, my phone breaks down. (When I run an app, there's the loading screen then back to the homescreen or the phones freezes).
I've try to hard reset, the problem is still there because when you hard reset, I think the update is still there. So i've try to reflash it with my carrier rom to have it like the first time i've had it in my hands, the phone works fine.But if I tried to update it to Black, the same problem shows again.
I have a lumia 1020 amber, it is unlocked. I tried using an active att sim to update the phone, but it always say couldnt download the update. I tried reseting, wifi and data are both on.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI live in Japan. I updated to Lumia Black the other day and since then my 1020 cannot find NTT Docomo cellular network. The 1020 finds other networks (JP Docomo) but not NTT Docomo.
So, I am unable to use the phone. I took the SIM card out and put it into my Lumia 620. The 620 is using Amber. It was able to find and use cellular services provided by NTT Docomo. So, Amber works; Black does not.
I'm very new to the Lumia (last night!), so I suspect I'm doing something daft. I've just updated my phone with the black update, and now there are no more phone updates to download. When I go into extras+info, the software release is Lumia Black.
However, when I go into the camera settings, I still can't see an option to shoot in DNG - it's still only the 2 jpg options that are there. Is there another step that I need to follow before this becomes available?
I have recorded some audio files with Mini Recorder Free but I am unable to send them by e-mail.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been having a serious issue with my Lumia 1020 there is no audio from the phone what so ever. I cant hear people when they ring and they cant hear me. The phone does not let me play music on it or play videos unless I go onto the internet and look at a youtube video but there is still no sound from it. Another issue is that when I go onto the camera app and select to take a video the phone closes its self out of the app. It does this same thing in other apps were I try to play any type of audio. There is no volume control because when the buttons are pressed a small gray strip across the top of the screen appears and goes away after a couple of seconds. Mechanically the buttons work as a have performed multiple master resets on the phone which involves using the volume down button.
View 5 Replies View RelatedSo I finally updated to Black today and to my surprise the damn yellow tint is still present when using flash indoors.I did one shot before the update with Nokia Pro Cam, and on after the Black update and after updating to Nokia Camera.
They look nearly identical.

no flash after black [this looks most like the real thing] . Notice similar issue with the yellow tint not being fixed after updating to Black?Also forgot to mention, all setting were on auto, on the top two shots, on the no flash one, change from auto flash to no flash.
i was suprised to find that the videos i took with the nokia lumia 1020 were in the format of mp4. is it possible to use a higher definiation type of format. with 32 gb's of space it would seem it could handle heavier formats. secondly is there a zoom function in the camera.
View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 1020's FFC has been working fine until yesterday when I tried to use the FFC and it just showed a black screen and you couldn't press any buttons on the screen, I just had to go back to the home screen to do anything else. The regular camera is working fine. Proximity sensor seems to working fine as well. I have done a soft reset with no luck, about to do a hard reset... It's not a huge deal but I do like my phone to be working at 100%!

I shot video with an app named Video Camera Pro - it puts the files in some hidden forder , not in camera roll.
The app says that the way to upload the files is by wi-fi and they provide a link to download a server software but its broken.
I keep getting a message to try again, but to no avail....

Today I left my phone at home, I didn't use it and when I tried to pick it up I actually got scared, it was so extremely hot that I thought it will explode. View 3 Replies View RelatedEver since the Lumia Black update, I have noticed significant amount of battery drain while not doing anything.This morning I woke up after 8 hours of sleep and removed my 1020 from charging plate, the phone was warm. That means it was charging the whole 8 hours.
I removed the phone and restarted it, turned off glance screen (location off) and did not use it until 3PM (3 hours after being removed from charging plate) and the battery gauge is already below 50%.
My Pictures sometimes get a small black border after I worked on them with Nokia Camera:

This Bug was already before Lumia Black.
