Getting weird audio crackling when recording video on their 1020? It only happens with the Nokia Camera app. It doesn't happen with the default Windows Phone camera app. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and it does not fix the problem. I am running WP8.0 OS version 8.0.10521.155.
I have an ATT Lumia 1020 that has started recording only "white noise" when recording videos. The picture records just fine but there is no audio. Happened after the phone was updated to Lumia Black.
I am having trouble picking up audio while taking a video on my 1020. The speaker will play other audio (music, videos, internet videos), just not when I record. Also nothing comes out of my speaker phone when I switch it on. My phone updated to a newer version and that's when it stopped working.
Recently I got this problem with my 1020's camera: when I use Lumia Camera, sometimes the app hangs after the first snap and won't respond unless I reboot my phone. Even if I close it through the task manager, the camera will be unusable upon restarting the app and the lens cover stays open until I reboot and successfully snap a picture afterwards.
I've already encountered it three times this week -_- I'm running PfD on latest OS, firmware version, and Lumia Camera app btw.
If I play music, when the phone rings Or even on a call if I do hear sound its crackling like there is static, it breaks up and sometimes there isnt any sound at allThe phone was bought as a present for me from the US but I don't live there and don't know the procedure to return it
I recently went to Verizon and had my storm2 replaced due to a crackle and distortion in the handset speaker. The new phone just yesterday developed the same problem.I am wondering if it is the result of getting debris into the speaker, and I would like to know if there is a way to clean it if so, as it is a pain in the *** to deal with the replacement thing.
I was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?
I have a Nokia. Lumia, blutooth on calls is ok, tho I do have to press blutooth again when making outgoing call wich I find odd as...... As soon as I pick my phone up and unlock it stops audio in car, so even if checking Mai l, mesage, wHatsapp etc the audio drops off in car, I have to keep pressing the fm button to get off bt audio,
I have been having a serious issue with my Lumia 1020 there is no audio from the phone what so ever. I cant hear people when they ring and they cant hear me. The phone does not let me play music on it or play videos unless I go onto the internet and look at a youtube video but there is still no sound from it. Another issue is that when I go onto the camera app and select to take a video the phone closes its self out of the app. It does this same thing in other apps were I try to play any type of audio. There is no volume control because when the buttons are pressed a small gray strip across the top of the screen appears and goes away after a couple of seconds. Mechanically the buttons work as a have performed multiple master resets on the phone which involves using the volume down button.
After a hard reset on 8.1 lost all audio. Not only is their no sound, when pressing a ringtone or play in Spotify there is no touch response to show the sound is "playing".
How long can you shoot a video at fullHD/25fps, until the recording stops? And what happens when it stops? Does it keep on recording another mp4-file, or does it just stop?
i was suprised to find that the videos i took with the nokia lumia 1020 were in the format of mp4. is it possible to use a higher definiation type of format. with 32 gb's of space it would seem it could handle heavier formats. secondly is there a zoom function in the camera.
My wife's Nokia Lumia 1020 still works like a champion, except that she can't take video.
I can switch on the "Lumia Camera" app fine, and use the rotary symbols at the right to switch to video mode. However, quite frequently, pressing the video symbol will not start recording; the countdown will stay at 00:00. This only happens sometimes though. There's 20GB free so storage isn't the issue.
I am having two problems with Nokia Camera on my Icon. When recording a video in Nokia Camera. I have found that it isn't recording sound. When recording a video in Nokia Camera, it takes about 5 seconds after hitting the record button for it to actually start recording.
I am not sure how to replicate the issue because it has only happened a few times and it will fix itself by restarting the phone.
When it does happen it will happen every time I record a video through Nokia Camera until a reboot. I at least now figured out that if I hit record and there is a delay between it actually starting to record, then the sound will not be recorded so a restart is necessary.
I can still record through the WP camera app and audio will be recorded, but this is a huge problem for me. I have about 5 videos that I have taken in the past week that were actually pretty important that have no sound now.
I uninstalled Nokia Camera and reinstalled and it still did it. Is this a Nokia Camera bug or an Icon bug?
Even though I can take photos, whenever I try to shoot video it focuses and then nothing happens - the timer stays at zero. My 1020 I'd fresh out of the box today. This happened both when I tap the screen, tap the video button, or press the camera button on the side. The Windows video app works, but I need to use Nokia video for the editing capabilities ( plus it's just better, I upgraded from a 920 so I'm not new to Windows devices).
I have a Lumia 1020 and love taking photos with it and I love using G+. Using G+ on the web apps on WP8 isn't too shabby but I hated getting pictures and videos to it because it'd mean I'd have to plug in my phone to my pc and upload the photos to G+ from there. Well, that is no longer the case!!
Google released the new version of Picasa today which is the Program for Mac/Windows that allows you to manage your G+ photos on the computer. One of the biggest features they added today way autouploading photos on your PC to G+. WP8 already autouploads to skydrive so I pointed the picasa autoupload folder to my skydrive folder on my PC and it works FLAWLESSLY!!
If you want to do this you just need a few things.
1. Install Picasa on your PC/MAC 2. Install Skydrive on your PC/MAC 3. Point the Picasa Autobackup folder to your Skydrive photos folder on computer
So you'll take a photo, it'll auto back up to Skydrive, which then syncs with your PC. Picasa then grabs the photos as they are downloaded to your PC and uploads them to G+!
On some videos (not all, can't figure out the reason), the trimmer seems to work correctly on my phone. Then I connect it to my Windows PC and copy it over. At that point, the file size is the original size before trimming. The video actually stops (QuickTime) at the correct point, but there's a coda on the file which is just a still of the last frame. But it plays like video until the original end point. I have a video limit for uploading to another site, and I can't figure out how to edit around this problem.
While I was editing a video from my Lumia 1020 in Final Cut X, I found than phone recording audio only in right channel. Left channel source is totally quiet. When I try to record video via default WP Camera app, there is no sound at all. In Nokia Camera there is a sound, but only for right channel. I've tried hard reset, but with no success.
By now the entire globe is abuzz with Nokia's new hero phone and the amazing pictures it takes with that 41 megapixel, backside illuminated, 2nd generation image stabilized magic that only the finns could pull off so far. But what I am just as exited about is the video capability and the fact that Nokia's new Pro camera software allows you to trim video's quickly and easily! Nokia's pro camera app comes pre installed on the 1020 but will be available via update to other pureview Lumia's also.
When I record a video and play it back I can hear a loud whirring noise in the background. It happens regardless if the camera is moving or not when the video was taken and is quite an annoying sound.
I dont find a way to transfer video files from Lumia 1020 to PC or to anywere else.
I shot video with an app named Video Camera Pro - it puts the files in some hidden forder , not in camera roll. The app says that the way to upload the files is by wi-fi and they provide a link to download a server software but its broken.
I've recently upgraded from a Lumia 800 to the 1020. One things I've noticed is that when I'm streaming video from YouTube, etc the 1020 doesn't show how much of the video has been buffered. The 800 used to show me with every app, whether is was browser videos or through MetroTube/Supertube. None of these show how much has been buffered on the 1020. Is this a WP8 bug?
