After a hard reset on 8.1 lost all audio. Not only is their no sound, when pressing a ringtone or play in Spotify there is no touch response to show the sound is "playing".

When I connect my Lumia 800 to my PC with USB, the touch screen response gets really jerky and slow. It seems that tracnsfer/sync with Zune software is OK, but trying to use the phone when connected is just about out of the question. Immediately when I disconnect the cable the touch screen is again as smooth as should be.

I've made sure the phone is up to date with updates and all apps are updated. I can't think of anything. The only thing close to common is with a few crashes I was playing audio.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been having a serious issue with my Lumia 1020 there is no audio from the phone what so ever. I cant hear people when they ring and they cant hear me. The phone does not let me play music on it or play videos unless I go onto the internet and look at a youtube video but there is still no sound from it. Another issue is that when I go onto the camera app and select to take a video the phone closes its self out of the app. It does this same thing in other apps were I try to play any type of audio. There is no volume control because when the buttons are pressed a small gray strip across the top of the screen appears and goes away after a couple of seconds. Mechanically the buttons work as a have performed multiple master resets on the phone which involves using the volume down button.

I have an ATT Lumia 1020 that has started recording only "white noise" when recording videos. The picture records just fine but there is no audio. Happened after the phone was updated to Lumia Black.
View 3 Replies View RelatedPerhaps i'm preaching to the converted,but since hi-res images do not show up as thumbnails,just as DNG files when looking at the files on the phone, using windows explorer,i decided to copy all the hi-res images to a new folder on the computer.On looking at the new folder in explorer, thumbnails where being shown, but with strange purple and green casts.I then decided to run all the images through Adobes DNG convertor,and lo and behold all the images where now normal,and easily viewable.

The thing is if I take a photo and then when going through the app to the last photo I took it shows me the first photo I took who is in my gallery.. For example, of I take a photo and want to see it right after I took it by pressing the button in the Nokia camera app it will show me the first pic I took that is in the gallery.. View 1 Replies View RelatedI've tried literally everything. Multiple USBs and computers. Installing connectivity driver. Restart my phone and computers. When plugged in, the phone will only charge. There is no indication on the computer that a device has been connected (I checked Device Manager and it's nowhere to be found, not even under hidden items). When I plug it into my computer, it's the same as plugging it into a wall outlet. I've read tons of solutions online and tried them all. It makes me think that something has gone wrong with my phone. The issue isn't my computer's USB ports or even the USBs I've tried. It sounds like an issue with my phone. When I first purchased the phone, it was able to sync to the computer and I could transfer pictures from it.

One things I've noticed is that when I'm streaming video from YouTube, etc the 1020 doesn't show how much of the video has been buffered. The 800 used to show me with every app, whether is was browser videos or through MetroTube/Supertube. None of these show how much has been buffered on the 1020. Is this a WP8 bug?

I travel to and fro my company by bus. The bus usually travels at 60kmph on an average. So due to road patches and connections, etc vibrations travel to the passenger.Does this constant travelling in the bus have any kind of damaging effect on the ball bearing system. Will the springs and vibration dampening capacity of the lens reduce over a period of time?
While I was editing a video from my Lumia 1020 in Final Cut X, I found than phone recording audio only in right channel. Left channel source is totally quiet. When I try to record video via default WP Camera app, there is no sound at all. In Nokia Camera there is a sound, but only for right channel. I've tried hard reset, but with no success.
View 2 Replies View RelatedThere is a sound like a "chirp"of a bird during capturing images, the moment the shutter closes. This sound is apart from the "click"sound. And the chirp sounds again after capturing during reopening of the camera after capture.
I am thinking this will be a future squeak sound. but nothing affects the focusing on video and on photos.
I've notice two bugs with this new update on my unlocked 1020 with tmobile:
1. I can no longer hear any notifications, or alarms.
When I navigate to settings>ringtones+notifications>and try to set my ringtone, I can't even get a preview of the sound. When i press the preview/play button, i get backed out into the settings menu again.
2. When I am typing a text and someone else texts me, I get backed out into the main menu/ metro pane menu.
Noticed these problems with OS version 8.10.12382.878
I tried a soft reset and a hard reset (factory), but it didn't work....
The notification sound (when an email/sms/calendar pushes) during a call is so annoying and uncomfortable (there will be a weird sound in the earphone and then the normal notification sound, too distracting). Is it possible to disable that weird sound?
View 2 Replies View RelatedJust got my first Android phone a few months ago; LG G3. Still learning... stumbled onto a web site of things you could use "OK Google" for. One of the sections was about funny things to do with OK Google. One was 'Make me a sandwich'.
So I tried it... "OK Google" I got the response (pulsing mic) and said "Make me a sandwich"; I got a voice response - 'poof, you're a sandwich'.
When I went to show my wife later that day, all that happens is I get a white bar at the top of the screen that displays 'make me a sandwich'.
Now, no matter what I try, "OK Google" will not respond audibly. This is unique to the OK Google functionality. Voice Command, Personal Assistant, Map Quest and other apps provide audible feedback.
Sometimes when the camera starts focusing to make a picture, it makes a really high pitched sound. It continues when the camera has focused until the picture is made. The sound certainly doesn't come from the speakers and isn't triggered by the phone itself but purely by the camera on the back, so it has to be something hardware related.
It isn't that big of a problem, the camera certainly isn't malfunctioning, but I was with a friend today who asked me what that sound was and I'm wondering as well, since it isn't supposed to produce sounds like that.
Why the lens focus & open vibrate quite hard and even clicking sound?Is this normal? I never drop my phone higher than 2 centimeter.
