Lumia 1020 :: How Long Can A Video-clip Be
Sep 18, 2013How long can you shoot a video at fullHD/25fps, until the recording stops? And what happens when it stops? Does it keep on recording another mp4-file, or does it just stop?

View 1 RepliesI have received a video clip via email. I can watch the clip when I downloaded it right inside my email folder. The thing is it has no option to save it & I can't find this clip anywhere in the phone.
View 2 Replies View RelatedAnyway, I have a one hr video clip which i need to transfer from iphone5 to my regular non apple computer.
Tried the following:
1) I tried to plug in and transfer directly but ironically, i cannot find that clip looking at the explorer folders.
2) I also noted i can't transfer large files even if i used that auto play to transfer pics.3) I tried itunes but looking at the sync function, it keeps asking me to sync pics from my computer (but i don't wanna sync pics from my computer. I wanna sync pics from my iphone TO my computer)...
Now in the last few days so the battery has hung really long at 100% ... This is the lumia 1020 ....
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo this morning my brand new 1020 is saying it's out of memory. I take a look, and it had been taking pictures (while sitting on the nightstand, plugged in and charging), all night long. Thousands of pictures. I've searched for this issue and am not coming up with anything.
View 3 Replies View RelatedWhen I connect my 1020 to my PC, the computer acknowledges that the phone is connected but can sometimes take forever to start to sync the photos to the PC. I have tried combinations of F5 etc. as well as disconnecting the phone and reconnecting it. Nothing happens! Then for no reason, it will start to download the photos and show the message "Everything's Done" .
View 1 Replies View RelatedI was filming my family and the video stuttered and stopped altogether after a few seconds. Then the app went to a green screen (totally green) and I couldn't fix it. I had to reboot the phone to get it to work normally. Is that normal?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI own a L720 but am very tempted to make a switch to L1020 in future once its officially available here. A major query I have is,
-The screen is off and I hit the camera button, how long does it take to take a picture and save?
-The battery to power ratio, is it good? (Can the phone last 1 full day without any issues?)
what are the requirements for getting a video clip on the iphone 3gs? Is there a format and size the video clip needs to be to show up in a video mms? Im just wondering because I searched google and asked my non iphone friends to send me a video and i didnt reveive it. Im just worried I want the video to work on this phone.
View 12 Replies View Relatedi was suprised to find that the videos i took with the nokia lumia 1020 were in the format of mp4. is it possible to use a higher definiation type of format. with 32 gb's of space it would seem it could handle heavier formats. secondly is there a zoom function in the camera.

View 5 Replies View RelatedMy wife's Nokia Lumia 1020 still works like a champion, except that she can't take video.
I can switch on the "Lumia Camera" app fine, and use the rotary symbols at the right to switch to video mode. However, quite frequently, pressing the video symbol will not start recording; the countdown will stay at 00:00. This only happens sometimes though. There's 20GB free so storage isn't the issue.
Other than pause and screen shot, any real way to get still frames out of the videos I take...
View 9 Replies View RelatedSo i ran into a issue last night that could be a big problem for me down the road. I recorded a 15 sec video clip on my son saying something cute. I tried to text it to my sister (who has an iPhone) but it wouldnt attach. It said file is too large. a 15 sec video is too large??? It wasnt even on the highest setting (4K). It was on the default HD. I went into the details of the video and it was 29mb. Luckily I still have my iPhone 6 so I grabbed that, recorded my son again (of course it wasnt as good as the first time) and sent it to my sister via iMessage with no issue at all.
This may seem like a minor thing to some but the fact I cant text a 15 sec video clip to my family is ridiculous. I couldnt even email it. I love my S6 for the most part but for little things like this I can see why people prefer iOS. So my question, Is there a way to compress a video to send it via text? I did this all the time with my iPhone not only to other iPhone users but users on other platforms as well.
Even though I can take photos, whenever I try to shoot video it focuses and then nothing happens - the timer stays at zero. My 1020 I'd fresh out of the box today. This happened both when I tap the screen, tap the video button, or press the camera button on the side. The Windows video app works, but I need to use Nokia video for the editing capabilities ( plus it's just better, I upgraded from a 920 so I'm not new to Windows devices).
View 2 Replies View RelatedI have a Lumia 1020 and love taking photos with it and I love using G+. Using G+ on the web apps on WP8 isn't too shabby but I hated getting pictures and videos to it because it'd mean I'd have to plug in my phone to my pc and upload the photos to G+ from there. Well, that is no longer the case!!
Google released the new version of Picasa today which is the Program for Mac/Windows that allows you to manage your G+ photos on the computer. One of the biggest features they added today way autouploading photos on your PC to G+. WP8 already autouploads to skydrive so I pointed the picasa autoupload folder to my skydrive folder on my PC and it works FLAWLESSLY!!
If you want to do this you just need a few things.
1. Install Picasa on your PC/MAC
2. Install Skydrive on your PC/MAC
3. Point the Picasa Autobackup folder to your Skydrive photos folder on computer
So you'll take a photo, it'll auto back up to Skydrive, which then syncs with your PC. Picasa then grabs the photos as they are downloaded to your PC and uploads them to G+!
I'm trying to send by email some videos. The quality looks horrible. I don't understand why the phone wants to compress. I should decide.
Than, tried to send on Skydrive, but it also sends a compressed video....
On some videos (not all, can't figure out the reason), the trimmer seems to work correctly on my phone. Then I connect it to my Windows PC and copy it over. At that point, the file size is the original size before trimming. The video actually stops (QuickTime) at the correct point, but there's a coda on the file which is just a still of the last frame. But it plays like video until the original end point. I have a video limit for uploading to another site, and I can't figure out how to edit around this problem.
View 4 Replies View RelatedGetting weird audio crackling when recording video on their 1020? It only happens with the Nokia Camera app. It doesn't happen with the default Windows Phone camera app. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling the app and it does not fix the problem. I am running WP8.0 OS version 8.0.10521.155.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhile I was editing a video from my Lumia 1020 in Final Cut X, I found than phone recording audio only in right channel. Left channel source is totally quiet. When I try to record video via default WP Camera app, there is no sound at all. In Nokia Camera there is a sound, but only for right channel. I've tried hard reset, but with no success.
View 2 Replies View RelatedBy now the entire globe is abuzz with Nokia's new hero phone and the amazing pictures it takes with that 41 megapixel, backside illuminated, 2nd generation image stabilized magic that only the finns could pull off so far. But what I am just as exited about is the video capability and the fact that Nokia's new Pro camera software allows you to trim video's quickly and easily! Nokia's pro camera app comes pre installed on the 1020 but will be available via update to other pureview Lumia's also.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI dont find a way to transfer video files from Lumia 1020 to PC or to anywere else.
I shot video with an app named Video Camera Pro - it puts the files in some hidden forder , not in camera roll.
The app says that the way to upload the files is by wi-fi and they provide a link to download a server software but its broken.
I use my video to record conserts, sometimes when the sound is to loud on the consert the sound of the video is just distorted noice. Is it someway to change the volume of sound when recording really loud conserts.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI've recently upgraded from a Lumia 800 to the 1020. One things I've noticed is that when I'm streaming video from YouTube, etc the 1020 doesn't show how much of the video has been buffered. The 800 used to show me with every app, whether is was browser videos or through MetroTube/Supertube. None of these show how much has been buffered on the 1020. Is this a WP8 bug?
