Galaxy S6 Edge :: Installing System Update When Rebooting To Recovery Mode?
Apr 19, 2015
When I go to wipe my cache partition, before the boot menu appears I get a message every time that says "Installing System Update" and the little Android guy appears and acts like he's doing something. Normally functioning phones seeing this message before getting to their cache wipe?
I've done full Factory Resets twice now and also many cache wipes but I'm wondering if that original T-Mobile update on the first day got hung up and won't fix itself even with Factory Resets. And, wondering if perhaps other T-Mobile users have the same problem too causing the litany of issues we've seen.
I downloaded the new system update, now my phone is in a constant recovery reboot saying installing system update. I press the power button plus the volume up and i can see what it is installing it goes through the same thing over and over and just reboots back in the recovery booting again when its done installing...what is causing this i cant do a system reset either it wont let me (volume up +home+power ) does not work , removing the batter does not work (soft reset)...
I launch the 8.1.2 updating process in OTA mode today and my iPhone 6 get stuck in recovery mode after the restart (iTunes icon with the cable on the screen).Â
So I try to restore from iTunes but I've got a unknown "error 56" at 75% of internal firmware upgrading process. The updating seems stuck, I've wait several minutes with no change. As soon as I unplug the cable my iPhone get back to recovery mode (iTunes icon with the cable on the screen).I've try several times, with another cable, with the old 8.1.1 firmware image (using Alt key when selecting the restore button). I try to launch the restore from my iMac and from my MacBook Pro (both with latest Yosemite and iTunes versions) but my iPhone is still stuck in recovery mode.Â
Bring it back to an Apple Store? Unfortunatly I'm living overseas and I've bought this iPhone 6 a few weeks ago when traveling. I'll be in Melbourne in a few weeks but I would like to use my iPhone again before. Â
I got the S6 Edge from t-mobile (g925st). I believe the OS crashed, the phone won't boot up. If I turn it on it will display the Samsung galaxy s6 edge logo and reboot again. I tried to go into recovery mode but it just reboots itself. The only mode I can go into is download mode.
kies advised that a system update was available for my S5 so I updated. Since then, my alarm doesn't sound in silent mode and system doesn't allow me to change sounds of silent mode.
I've tried 3rd party alarm as well, but didn't make a difference.
Why does my phone lag really badly after I updated to v50 from v40 using Ovi Suite (via USB)? The kinetic scrolling is really unresponsive now and I also get system errors when I tried to install Skype for Symbian phones.I thought software updates were meant to improve the phone?I am sure I'm not the only person encountering this problem. Will there be a fix soon Nokia?
how to get the sound of the youtube video from my s6 edge to my harman kardon sorround system, i can play the music that i have from my phone through quick connect, but from youtube i cannot. I can do it from htc phone just by sliding 3 fingers or iphone but from s6 i cannot.
So i recently switched to a new rom from my previous rooted one. Unfortunatly, i forgot to enable developer debugging or oem unlock in developer options before i restarted, so now my phone is in a boot loop. It wont go into recovery mode, or boot into the system. I can only go into download mode. My knox is tripped, and it shows frp lock. So far i tried flashing the stock 5.1.1 firmware using odin, and it fails on nand write. Tried flashing a new bl and cp, but frp blocks it.
Right, model of my phone is SM-G920T
Seems to be when i was trying to flash the original firmware, i got an old one, F6, when the correct one is F8. Went through with odin and seems like everything is back on track!
So I was doing the Andriod 5.0 Lollipop update, and I thought it froze, so I rebooted my phone, it started the update again, and then went into a screen with the phone on it with a red triangle which I now learned is recovery mode, I have tried everything, I factory reset (erased all user data) And everything like that, and it still comes back to this screen, can I get off of it?
Now my phone is stuck in recovery mode after an update. I get unknown error 1403 after itunes tries to restore the phone for more than 10 minutes. Any way to fix? The help article for error 1403 just tells me to connect to itunes. Connecting to itunes tells me to restore, when I hit the restore button, it updates for a loooooong time then says "unable to restore, unknown error (1403).
My phone lately has been searching for service constantly, I would say that 80%of my day my phone is searching for service. There was a software update for I think 8.1.2, my phone didn't have enough storage, so I tried to do it through iTunes, when I did that, I got the connect to iTunes screen and couldn't get past it. So now I have put my phone into recovery mode and have run into nothing but issues. One iTunes will not let me update the software, secondly I can't restore it, I get a pop up saying something that my device isn't recognized.
So basically i was on iOS 7.0.0 and when my phone was below 10% and i tried to charge it, it would keep turning on and off every 2 minutes. Somebody had told me to update to the latest version of iOS, so I did. While downloading the new version onto my phone an error code popped up (error 29) and the update bar was only half full. Ever since then my phone has been stuck in Recovery Mode.
i was trying to downgrade back to kitkat from lolipop so i flashed a Nk2_kernel.tar.md5 and now my phone will only go to recovery mode and nothing else why is this happening?
My wife’s HTC One M8 somehow messed up during her attempt to update to Lollipop. How to restore her phone if I provide enough detail about what happened/current state.
The sequence of events is as such. My wife bought her phone brand new in Budapest, Hungary while on her way to where we live now (New Caledonia, South Pacific). She had the phone unlocked there (at the store in Budapest) and it had worked splendidly here for six months. We never altered the phone in anyway – stock operating system, one or two minor OTA updates to get the phone to Android 4.4.2 and Sense to 5.0 or 6.0 (I think it was) but nothing like rooting or flashing another ROM. She was checking daily to see when Lollipop was available and, while I was away on duty travel unfortunately, it was suddenly there. She did the download, told the phone to go ahead and update and that was where things went completely south.
By the time she emailed me to tell me her phone no longer worked, she had tried several things such as Recovery and Factory reset, etc. If the phone is put into Recovery mode (from the Bootloader screen – the one with three android figures at the bottom) it just cycles non stop from the red triangle to white screens and back to the red triangle and the only thing you can do to then phone is press Volume up and Power button to get the “Android System Recovery” screen. I have tried to execute all five of commands on that screen – “apply from sd card”, “apply from phone storage” … “wipe cache partition” but the end result is always the same – just an endless red triangle to white screen non stop until the battery dies.
On the Android system Recovery screen, there is a consistent error message “Mount SDCARD failed 1 times” (and then … failed 2/3/4/5 times), followed by “Can not mount SD Card (No such file or directory). So, to recap, anything I try to do from the Bootloader screen leads to the Red Triangle/white screen cycling which can be interrupted ONLY by Volume Up/Power buttons (not by Volume Down/Power buttons) which gives the Android System Recovery screen and all of those options also lead to the Red Triangle/White screen loop. Also, and probably very importantly, it doesn’t seem that my computer can “see” the HTC when plugged in .. at least it doesn’t show up in the traditional way it used to when plugged in via USB cable.
I tried to update my iPhone software (after successfully backing up to iCloud, and then successfully updating iTunes software) but got a 1604 error message. The phone is stuck in recovery mode, and all attempts to restore the phone have resulted in failure. I keep getting the same error message. Basically, the phone never gets past "preparing to restore." I am linking my iPhone 4 to a PC Windows XP Professional, with up-to-date software. This is the third time I've tried (and failed) to update the iPhone software, though the other two times I was able to restore. This time nothing seems to be working.
I have the international galaxy s6. SM-g920I. I have rooted it already, then I tried flashing a recovery. Now it is stuck in the Samsung logo. I can still go to the download mode. What to do. And if I need to download the firmware file, can you tell me what the baseband is? This is urgent. I can enter download mode, but not recovery. Only have access to Odin mode right now.
My GS5 was working just fine this morning. Out of nowhere I picked up my phone and it was on a black screen with green, white, red, then white again, then grey, blue and red words. It reads as follows;
BOOT RECOVERY MODE CHECK BOOT PARTITIONS sbli partition doesn't exist ODIN MODE PRODUCT NAME: SW-G900A CURRENT BINARY: SAMSUNG OFFICIAL SYSTEM STATUS: CUSTOM REACTIVATION LOCK(KK): OFF KNOX WARRANTY VOID: 0x0 QUALCOMM SECUREBOOT: ENABLE (CSB) RP SWREV: S1, T1, R1, A2, P1 SECURE DOWNLOAD: ENABLE UDC START
I have tried everything from removing battery, removing SD CARD, SIM CARD, connecting to charger, connecting to USB cable on my laptop, holding volume up, home, and power button. My biggest fear is losing all my data. I have 100's of photos of my 3 month old newborn on my phone memory because I was running low on my SD CARD. I can't fathom losing all her newborn pictures.
I also get an error message: "android.process.acore". I am now unable to use my phone as it continually restarts and I cannot access any other options.
I have not used my phone in any wrong way. I did not install a custom rom or anything. no root. randomly in my every day normal usage of my phone, it started to restart. and the the problem got worse and worse. for a few minutes, i will be able to use my phone but then my phone will restart and be stuck restarting. most of the times I can't even go into recovery mode. It restarts again when i get to that. I already resetted my phone, and I wiped the partition.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920W8 telus/koodo 32 gb. i got the battery replaced by samsung but that didnt work. i noticed that after a few hours, my phone stops restarting when it reaches to 10% battery life.
I recently rooted my samsung s5 to try and troubleshoot my power button not working, as when I restarted before root, it would work for a minute then stop. But after rooting i accidentally restarted my phone with a power manager app in recovery mode and now I can not connect to my phone via odin. Volume up/down to move highlight power button to select.
While trying to solve my problem with the phone heating up, I decided to reboot my phone however it got stuck on Odin mode! I cannot do the normal solution which is take the battery out since it cannot be done in S6 Edge.
