Wait for Red Triangle to appear.....
4) Press and hold VOLUME UP and POWER to enter option the clear system cache.

I've done full Factory Resets twice now and also many cache wipes but I'm wondering if that original T-Mobile update on the first day got hung up and won't fix itself even with Factory Resets. And, wondering if perhaps other T-Mobile users have the same problem too causing the litany of issues we've seen.
Suddenly i cannot access recovery mode. Why?

View 2 Replies View RelatedMy 1 month old s6 (920i) struggles to get a 3.5hr SOT during the day. Coming from the s3 where i used to easily get a 5hr SOT with the same usage style i can say this is pathetic. In the battery section top of the list i have Android OS and Google Services, followed by Facebook and Instagram.
Note that i have most of the things turned off except when using them, such as wifi, gps, nfc etc... Also i tried booting to stock recovery and clearing cache but this has not solved the issue. The phone does go to deep sleep as i have checked using BBS.
just updated my Nexus 5 to Android 5.0 -- things looking smooth
went to root it
step 1) enable developer mode
step 2) restart into bootloader
step 3) fastboot flash recovery boot.img ( download.chainfire.eu/580/SuperSU/nexus5-hammerhead-lpx13d-kernel.zip )
step 4) reboot into recovery mode...
step 4 is where things get funky, when I tell bootloader to load recovery mode the phone restarts and then boots normally.I've been hacking at this for a few hours, and ended up loading the boot.img file more than once (see steps below) -- the original attempt worked and would access recovery mode the "load from zip" option wasn't available to I started tinkering, at one point I told it to restart from recovery mode -- it listed updating 7 files after which it had flashed itself back to factory defaults.I then flashed the boot loader a 2nd time it stopped accessing recovery mode
since then I've tried
- download Quick Boot app (crashes when trying to load recovery mode)
- flashed with fresh factory image
- numerous attempts to restart into bootloader
- voodoo chanting (not really but that's next)
My nexus won't boot, after click to turn on, is stuck on logo of google. I can not access to recovery mode, neither to download mode, anything..
I've tried reinstalling the rom via LG mobile support tool, but the software does not even detect the nexus, but in device manager is identified and the driver installed correctly .. I do not know what to do ..
The nexus is all in stock.
I broke my phone during flashing a rom, because the rom was faulty (actually my browser crashed during the download and i tried to install half a rom). And the point is I forgot to make a backup and I had moved my previous backups to my pc, because they were so many, and I thought, i'll make anther before flashing but i forgot. No my phone is broken and has no OS. I however can still access recovery mode. MY question is, is it in any way possible to access my phone from my computer during recovery mode.

From Sony PC Companion i can't do nothing because i must unlock the phone.
From Flashtool i can't do nothing because i have USB Debug Mode set to OFF and i can't enable it if i can't unlock the smartphone. Otherwise if I can set the phone in Flashmode or Fastboot Mode.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo my Moto X (2014) has been a little slow lately. I decided that I'd try and clear the cache for the first time seeing as how I've encountered that recommendation several times here on the site. I've never done it, even after upgrading to 5.0.
Today I tried it and it just got stuck on "Formatting /cache..." for about 10 minutes before I decided just to reboot and try again. I've cleared cache on several other devices before and it's usually very very quick. After a reboot, same thing with the exception of these error messages:
I gave up and just booted into the OS. The phone is working ok but I don't think my cache is cleared. I have a 32GB Pure Edition. No root or custom ROMs or anything.
I have Defy running on 2.1. I have installed some of applications from Android market (say 15 apps) and the performance of my Defy has decreased very drastically. I wanted to know how can i improve the performance of my Defy ? Should i clear cache for these applications ?

View 6 Replies View RelatedI now for the past hour am trying to wipe the partition cache but when I get to the last step where it shows the no command instead of it bringing me to the recovery menu it just reboots every time.
To wipe the cache partition, follow these steps:
Turn off the device.
Press and hold the Volume Up and the Volume Down and Power keys at the same time for about 10 seconds.
An image of an Android lying on its back will appear.
Press the Volume Down key twice until "Recovery mode" appears on the screen.
Press the Power key to restart in "Recovery mode."
An image of an Android with a red triangle will appear.
While holding down the Power key, tap the Volume Up key.
The Android System Recovery screen will appear. Release all keys. (But it does not appear it just reboots the device and brings me back to the lock screen every time)
Use the Volume keys to scroll to wipe data cache partition and press the Power key to select.
The phone will restart.

View 3 Replies View RelatedSo i recently switched to a new rom from my previous rooted one. Unfortunatly, i forgot to enable developer debugging or oem unlock in developer options before i restarted, so now my phone is in a boot loop. It wont go into recovery mode, or boot into the system. I can only go into download mode. My knox is tripped, and it shows frp lock. So far i tried flashing the stock 5.1.1 firmware using odin, and it fails on nand write. Tried flashing a new bl and cp, but frp blocks it.
Right, model of my phone is SM-G920T
Seems to be when i was trying to flash the original firmware, i got an old one, F6, when the correct one is F8. Went through with odin and seems like everything is back on track!
how to clear the cache memory and cookies of this phone's web browser..? Im not asking about the Opera mini's browser but of the phone's original browser, which is used from media player..
View 6 Replies View RelatedEvery time I go to Google News and click on a news item and then press the Back button, I am taken to a Google news page cached a week ago. If I refresh the page, I get the latest news page, but browsing to a news item and then attempting to return to the home page takes me back to the old cached page. The only way to clear cache is to delete the History in the browser settings and I have done this several times but to no avail. I am unable to understand why the old news page keeps coming up.
