View 2 Replies View Relatedjust updated my Nexus 5 to Android 5.0 -- things looking smooth
went to root it
step 1) enable developer mode
step 2) restart into bootloader
step 3) fastboot flash recovery boot.img ( download.chainfire.eu/580/SuperSU/nexus5-hammerhead-lpx13d-kernel.zip )
step 4) reboot into recovery mode...
step 4 is where things get funky, when I tell bootloader to load recovery mode the phone restarts and then boots normally.I've been hacking at this for a few hours, and ended up loading the boot.img file more than once (see steps below) -- the original attempt worked and would access recovery mode the "load from zip" option wasn't available to I started tinkering, at one point I told it to restart from recovery mode -- it listed updating 7 files after which it had flashed itself back to factory defaults.I then flashed the boot loader a 2nd time it stopped accessing recovery mode
since then I've tried
- download Quick Boot app (crashes when trying to load recovery mode)
- flashed with fresh factory image
- numerous attempts to restart into bootloader
- voodoo chanting (not really but that's next)
My nexus won't boot, after click to turn on, is stuck on logo of google. I can not access to recovery mode, neither to download mode, anything..
I've tried reinstalling the rom via LG mobile support tool, but the software does not even detect the nexus, but in device manager is identified and the driver installed correctly .. I do not know what to do ..
The nexus is all in stock.
I broke my phone during flashing a rom, because the rom was faulty (actually my browser crashed during the download and i tried to install half a rom). And the point is I forgot to make a backup and I had moved my previous backups to my pc, because they were so many, and I thought, i'll make anther before flashing but i forgot. No my phone is broken and has no OS. I however can still access recovery mode. MY question is, is it in any way possible to access my phone from my computer during recovery mode.
View 9 Replies View RelatedI've forgot the screenlock pin of my Sony Xperia Z2, the smartphone is stock so i don't have the bootloader unlocked so i can't go in recovery mode.
From Sony PC Companion i can't do nothing because i must unlock the phone.
From Flashtool i can't do nothing because i have USB Debug Mode set to OFF and i can't enable it if i can't unlock the smartphone. Otherwise if I can set the phone in Flashmode or Fastboot Mode.
So i recently switched to a new rom from my previous rooted one. Unfortunatly, i forgot to enable developer debugging or oem unlock in developer options before i restarted, so now my phone is in a boot loop. It wont go into recovery mode, or boot into the system. I can only go into download mode. My knox is tripped, and it shows frp lock. So far i tried flashing the stock 5.1.1 firmware using odin, and it fails on nand write. Tried flashing a new bl and cp, but frp blocks it.
Right, model of my phone is SM-G920T
Seems to be when i was trying to flash the original firmware, i got an old one, F6, when the correct one is F8. Went through with odin and seems like everything is back on track!
i was trying to downgrade back to kitkat from lolipop so i flashed a Nk2_kernel.tar.md5 and now my phone will only go to recovery mode and nothing else why is this happening?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have the international galaxy s6. SM-g920I. I have rooted it already, then I tried flashing a recovery. Now it is stuck in the Samsung logo. I can still go to the download mode. What to do. And if I need to download the firmware file, can you tell me what the baseband is? This is urgent. I can enter download mode, but not recovery. Only have access to Odin mode right now.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got the S6 Edge from t-mobile (g925st). I believe the OS crashed, the phone won't boot up. If I turn it on it will display the Samsung galaxy s6 edge logo and reboot again. I tried to go into recovery mode but it just reboots itself. The only mode I can go into is download mode.

I have tried everything from removing battery, removing SD CARD, SIM CARD, connecting to charger, connecting to USB cable on my laptop, holding volume up, home, and power button. My biggest fear is losing all my data. I have 100's of photos of my 3 month old newborn on my phone memory because I was running low on my SD CARD. I can't fathom losing all her newborn pictures.
Will encrypting my galaxy s5 lock download and recovery mode?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have not used my phone in any wrong way. I did not install a custom rom or anything. no root. randomly in my every day normal usage of my phone, it started to restart. and the the problem got worse and worse. for a few minutes, i will be able to use my phone but then my phone will restart and be stuck restarting. most of the times I can't even go into recovery mode. It restarts again when i get to that. I already resetted my phone, and I wiped the partition.
I have a samsung galaxy s6 SM-G920W8 telus/koodo 32 gb. i got the battery replaced by samsung but that didnt work. i noticed that after a few hours, my phone stops restarting when it reaches to 10% battery life.
I recently rooted my samsung s5 to try and troubleshoot my power button not working, as when I restarted before root, it would work for a minute then stop. But after rooting i accidentally restarted my phone with a power manager app in recovery mode and now I can not connect to my phone via odin. Volume up/down to move highlight power button to select.
View 2 Replies View RelatedWhen I go to wipe my cache partition, before the boot menu appears I get a message every time that says "Installing System Update" and the little Android guy appears and acts like he's doing something. Normally functioning phones seeing this message before getting to their cache wipe?
I've done full Factory Resets twice now and also many cache wipes but I'm wondering if that original T-Mobile update on the first day got hung up and won't fix itself even with Factory Resets. And, wondering if perhaps other T-Mobile users have the same problem too causing the litany of issues we've seen.
I tried to upgrade the iphone to ios 5.1.1 when the download was complete, phone went to recovery mode and the upgrade process failed, the phone never came back to normal mode.

I was in a bootloop because of a failed ROM flash, however i could enter Download Mode and i used Kies3 to initialize my device and that brought me back to a working system (COI9) But now I have a serious issue, I don't have a download mode?
When rebooting, holding the combination does nothing, just continues me into Windows (Volcume Down + Power + Home) Recovery is accessible, but its the stock Samsung recovery, the option to 'Reboot into bootloader' also doesnt work, my S6 just starts up normally.I need Root and Xposed back, what should I do?
As of Yesterday, I was able to access the band selection mode on my S6 by keying in *#2263#. However, it seems that I am no longer able to do that. Why this is the case, and is there any alternatives to accessing this function? I received a software update this morning, so I am wondering if that had anything to do with it.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have to use my phone in mass storage mode in order for it to be seen by my car stereo (Alpine x305s). However, It appears that you can only access the internal memory of the phone in this mode. Strangely, it does have a folder called external_sd, but this seems to reference a folder on the internal space. How I can access my external (32 gig) card.

My Iphone 4s keeps going into recovery mode. The first time it happened my phone kept shutting on and off again. Then went into Recovery mode. I reset it back to factory settings and it continued to do this. It's happened about 6 or 7 times in the past 2 days. Sometimes I just try turning it back on and it works.I dont know what to do.
