As of Yesterday, I was able to access the band selection mode on my S6 by keying in *#2263#. However, it seems that I am no longer able to do that. Why this is the case, and is there any alternatives to accessing this function? I received a software update this morning, so I am wondering if that had anything to do with it.
View 1 RepliesIf I go into the "Mobile Network Engineering Screens" menu and then into "Cell Information..." the bandmode is set to "GSM850" which is causing me to get SOS. How do I change the bandmode to GSM900? I've tried clicking on GSM800 and selecting "All" but when I back to the menu and then back into Cell Information it changes back to GSM850.

View 2 Replies View RelatedTapping on a word highlights the word, as expected. But the "tabs" NEVER appear to allow for sliding left/right over a selected word. Instead, the phone now prompts me to copy, cut or paste. I only get a single TAB that doesn't have a left & right sliding ability - just 1 solid block of a TAB. This happens in every app, including the Google search bar, Gmail, Docs to Go, Note Everything, or any other program with a text entry field.
Something changed - after the initial SOAK, this behavior was working as expected - and I actually liked it. But I did a "Clear Cache" as a test for some other users having other issues, and now that (slideable tab) feature is GONE. I can't find a setting to enable it or bring it back.
I have to use my phone in mass storage mode in order for it to be seen by my car stereo (Alpine x305s). However, It appears that you can only access the internal memory of the phone in this mode. Strangely, it does have a folder called external_sd, but this seems to reference a folder on the internal space. How I can access my external (32 gig) card.
View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen you are playing a song on the factory installed Google Play Music app or any other app with an equalizer or when using a separate equalizer and you increase any of the bands in the equalizer, the overall volume of the song drops.
To easily reproduce the problem, start playing a song on the Google Play Music app, go to settings, select equalizer, select advanced. Set the equalizer bands to flat (in the middle settings for all bands). While a song is playing, raise any equalizer band and the overall volume of the song goes down dramatically, like by half. This is especially noticeable as you increase the 16k slider. This is not how equalizers should work. A working equalizer should amplify the band you increased but leave the volume on all other bands the same and thus not lower the overall volume of the song. This is happening with all equalizer apps I've installed (besides the stock Music FX and SoundAlive equalizers) and I've seen the exact thing happen with three other equalizer apps on this phone, so it seems like a specific Samsung Galaxy S5 problem.
I ticked a "remember this choice" for texting to one of my contacts that has more than one mobile number, so it became the default. I didnt realise that the choice also applied to phone calls. No problem I thought, just unmark it as default. But that doesnt seem to be an option, i.e. having set a default, the only choice seems to be to change it to another number not actually cancel altogether.The only way round it i could find is to add a new dummy number, mark that as the default then delete the number. Am I missing the obvious?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have many apps frozen and I have tried unfreezing many of them one at a time to try and set multiple lock screen wallpapers but every time I hit Done after selecting the wallpapers, I get a message saying "App not installed".
If I only choose one wallpaper, I can change it just fine, but multiple wallpaper selection doesn't work. Which app controls the lock screen multiple wallpaper selection?
The settings and apps selection icon appear on every home screen panel. I don't want either on my main home screen panel as I keep hitting them when my phone is in my pocket and end up with stuff added or changed. I want them gone even if that means they are gone from every home screen panel.

Vibrations sounds can be viewed correctly with the button selection and preview option, however, in Ringtones and Notifications a file list is viewed which is /storage/emulated/0/ . The only other file list possible to view is /storage/extSdCard. No button/preview sound view available. Not possible to navigate from Ringtones and Notifications to the root system files where the default audio files are located: device/system/media/audio

I am having a serious problem with my Galaxy S6. The keyboard and any pop up menu for selection are not visible. I can see the keyboard and any selection menu when I rotate the screen then it vanishes very quickly.
I have disabled keyboard, cleared data and cache then restarted but it doesn't seem to work.
I have wiped all the cache partition, done a factory reset, flashed a stock 5.1.1 but the problem still exists.
i have just installed platform 5.2.0.67 and i now no longer understand my phone its completely different!i can now no longer get web access even though ive re-added my wi-fi. i cant find blackberry app world to download facebook and can't get it off the site

My iPhone 4s is no longer accessing the internet, despite the fact that it is successfully connecting to my home wifi network. It was working up until late last week and seeing the new patch/update (which I downloaded and applied) thought it would fix it, unfortunately it didn't.
I have done a quick search through the regualr channels and googled to problem, and I didn't change anything to do with my network before it stopped working and obviously my computer and interent are still operational.

I noticed a couple of weeks ago that my N97 was no longer connecting in 3G mode. I am definitely in a 3G covered area. I have checked all the obvious things - it is set up for dual mode connection (if I switch to UMTS only it can't find the network). I have done all the resets one could possibly think of. Before I head for a care-point to get a hardware fix, is there any obscure setting that I haven't thought of that might be clobbering the 3G connection?
