I had problem with low volume during the call so I followed the suggestion in the forum elowhttp://www.samsunggalaxysforum.com/s...)-very-low-!!/There are suggestions to adjust the "sidetone" value. Once I did that, I have been hearing the echo throughout my calls (not happen in speaker or headset mode, though). Now I am very frustrated. If anyone come across the solution for this issue
View 7 RepliesI have just purchased a Galaxy SII ... my only real problem is that there is quite a bad echo when I use the phone. this is noticeable by friends that have often rung me over the past few months. They all notice now I have my new phone that there is an echo when they talk to me. So, it seems that it is my phone causing it?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have the dreaded echo when I'm using the phone and would like to know if there is a permanent way of turning off Noise Reduction as this is the only way I can get rid of it. As I already have a hearing impediment the echo is extremely annoying and having to turn off NR everytime the phone is used strikes me as ridiculous for such an expensive and otherwise marvellous piece of kit; its also a silly inconvenience.
Any hacks that will turn off NR or any chance Samsung will cure this in a software update?
I have just purchased the S2 and the touch screen it to sensitive for me. Is there an option to adjust the tap sensitivity that only when I really �push� the screen the operation start?

I now want to connect the phone to Kies, but it does not work properly.I connect the phone to the PC and it is detected by Windows. I can even browse the files in Windows Explorer. When I start Kies, it just says "Connecting..." but fails after a while with error "Can not start service on device". The phone screens shows that I am connected to Kies.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI usually have my phone plugged in to the aux cord when I am in my car so that I can listen to music. Naturally, when a call comes through, I answer it. The people on the line say that they hear an echo of themselves when they talk. I assume this is because the sound is coming through the speakers of my car and then back into the phone. I tried activating the HD calling on Verizon, but that did not seem to work. I did not have this issue on any of my old phones (S3, Moto X.) It is difficult to take my phone off the aux cord every time I get a call.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI just tried out car mode for the first time and when I was in the simplified interface there was no way for me to exit it... I just tried it out inside so it wasn't automatically hooking up to a cars bluetooth or anything. I believe I was supposed to pull down on the top menu thing to turn it off but I couldn't pull it down while in car mode. I ended up having to reboot my phone to get out of car mode.

View 1 Replies View RelatedThe network mode on my Samsung galaxy S5 device is always set at GSM only. When I try to change it to WCDMA only or GSM/WCDMA (auto mode) it changes back to GSM only. The area I am has 3G network and most devices I see have H but mine always shows as E no matter what I do. When browsing it takes a long time for pages to open because its always at E.
I have factory reset the device but still facing the same problem.
I just got my SGSII today and so far I'm impressed at how much power it's got compared to my original SGS. So far the only disappointment for me is that samsung didn't include the "Add Me" effect in Scene Mode. I've had so much fun with this effect and I actually use it more compared to any other scene mode. I would like to ask if there's an app that can do the same thing? I tried using panorama to create a "twin" but it simply doesn't work.

That's not happening. Instead I'm prompted to "press the home key to quit Samsung Kies" Am I doing something wrong or do I HAVE to open Kies in order to see my phone's memory (32GB SD). Yesterday for no reason my phone started activating a "Car Mode" feature draining the battery into nothing even after its fully charged. the screen is also rotating even when i have auto rotate off and is also starting freeze. it keeps connecting and disconnecting into Kies via USB despite the USB not even being plugged in.

I have tried everything from removing battery, removing SD CARD, SIM CARD, connecting to charger, connecting to USB cable on my laptop, holding volume up, home, and power button. My biggest fear is losing all my data. I have 100's of photos of my 3 month old newborn on my phone memory because I was running low on my SD CARD. I can't fathom losing all her newborn pictures.
When I want to manually set the screen brightness (or change the "mode", called "sk�rmtilstand" in Danish), changes have no effect. The brightness bar is greyed out. Also, I have noticed that turning of "system battery saving" (the first of the two options offered under energy saving in the settings) changes have no effect.
I am running the SII with ICS.
I get a poor signal indoors at home - on Orange and it's always been the case. I spoke to their customer services and was told to switch the phone from auto select for Network Mode to GSM only. My choices are GSM only, WCDMA only or Auto.
True, having done so, the signal strength seems better though not amazing but, ordinarily, I get then just a "G" for data. I found that switching to WCDMA only, data goes to 3G or even H and sometime H+ but I nearly always lose the standard signal.
I dont understand the difference between GSM and WCDMA nor whether the results I see when choosing each are to be expected or not. I'd welcome any information from those of you who know more about these things than I do.
