bought a BB Curve 8520 in France with a 24-month subscription. The seller forgot to check the Blackberry Service Option in my file when it is included in the forfait. Therefore, I can not access any Blackberry service.I went in the store but they always tell me to wait. What ? I don't know...Could I do it on your site (with the PIN and IMEI, I also have a statement of compliance in the box)
I just switched to sprint yesterday and picked up the 9650. Today I tried to access the sprint blackberry internet service site to change my signature. When I go to register it tells me I cant access the Blackberry internet service from my pc and I should access it from my phone. I cant find any where on m phone to add a signature, any help? This is a personal blackberry account.
Can someone please let me know what the process is for entering the service menus for the above phone? I need to review my wap settings and I cannot find info anywhere on the web on how to do this for this phone.
i bought a new unlocked blackberry torch 9800 from ebay yesterday and i inserted my sim card but i could not access the internet. i called my service provider to help me. After all instructions such as going to advanced setting to set up everything, it still did not connect. I put my sim to my former blackberry curve and i could access the internet.
I cannot access certain features (many of which made me buy the phone in the first place). I keep getting a message saying that <The data service is not operational>, nothing tells me how I can make the data service operational and how to get more from my Blackberry and any user guide which describes the Blackberry.
Alright my LG VX8700 carrier is Bell Mobility, the problem is I cannot access the service menu using the methods described for a Verizon 8700 (##PROGRAM8700) DOES NOT work for me. What happens when i type this in is nothing, my phone tries to call the number. I've been researching all day, to get to the service menu on a Bell Mobility phone its supposed to be ##123456 followed by another # key , with the six numbers being your personal msl or unlock code, from Bell. Basically what I need some ideas for what I could do, I've already tried LGDownloader and it doesnt find a model number for my phone. My other idear is more social, being I call Bell and convince one of the cs reps to give me my unlock code that is used to program your phone when you first get it, the problem being they most likely wont just tell you ( need to edit my proxy for WAP that i've purchased hopke.net). I was reading another thread that says to lie and say like, I was in the process of changing my phone number and then my phone restarted or something.
We have an old iPhone 3G that is no longer on a Bell contract. We have installed Apps on the iphone through the computer but I cannot get the the wifi to work on it. Does it need to be under contract with a carrier or have a SIM card in order for wifi to work?
New member frustrated with paucity of help from user manual. Anyone familiar with the above message - occurs when I touch "contacts " on the screen. It may have resulted from copying contacts from sim to phone, ot vice versa, but cant recall.
I have a notification being displayed in my Z3 Dual. The notifications says that Restricted acces has been changed, Data Service is blocked.Â
It comes from the phone app and I have no data problems with either sim or WIFI and it happens wether stamina mode os ON or OFF... so, what does this mean?
As of Yesterday, I was able to access the band selection mode on my S6 by keying in *#2263#. However, it seems that I am no longer able to do that. Why this is the case, and is there any alternatives to accessing this function? I received a software update this morning, so I am wondering if that had anything to do with it.
I just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.

I have a Blackberry Curve 8330.I am using Windows Vista Home Premium.I am using Outlook 2000.I would like to sync my contacts, tasks and calendar between Outlook 2000 and my Blackberry.I understand that I need Blackberry Desktop Manager 4.2 service pack 2 or earlier. Please advise on how I can obtain this download.
Recently I frequently receive the notification "Restricted access changed" along with "Voice call service blocked". I really don't know what cause such notifications and it is very annoying.  Moreover, when such notifications are received, the signal drops off at the same time. I can't make any phone call or receive any call.
I did update the firmware to 4.4, but the problem still exists.
Dropped my BB for the last time...the trackball fell out and some other stuff fell out...not retrieved. Friend gave me her old Curve and I want to switch. Tried just moving the sim card praying my pictures would come up...but they didn't. The address book isn't there either. How do I switch my service and how do I move the info without a track ball?
i have a Blackberry Curve 8900. I'm on a network in Ireland called Meteor but my phone is an unlocked Orange UK phone. Last week Meteor starting supporting Blackberrys but i have no service books on my phone for Internet or MMS. I can't log into Meteor or Orange BIS website to get the service books and i don't have E-mail Setup on the handset to get them that way either. I have rang Meteor and Orange and neither seem to know how to get my Internet and MMS up and running. I don't think that it has anything to do with Orange anyway seeing as the phone is unlocked and I've been using it on the Meteor network for the past year just without certain functions. I've tried a battery pull and I've tried the Register Now function through the Host Routing Table option. Nothing seems to work and it's really starting to bother me.
I want to ask abut any IM that works without having BIS or BES on my blackberry 8520 Why I'm not using BIS if you ask, because the BIS is a little bit expensive here.
I've tried WindowsLiveMessenger - YahooMess for blackberry and they will only work on BIS.
I've tried ebuddy, but there's no ebuddy for blackberry. So I have to use ebuddyLITE and it is not great for chatting (refreshing all the time and its not user friendly)
Is there any suggestion for another IM that works only on normal GPRS? [without activating BIS]
I only have service in wi-fi areas with my phone. So, basically around my home. When I leave, I get "searching for networks" and then "no service".This just randomly started 4 days ago.I had service then, nothing while I was out then when I got back home, I started receiving texts and calls.I have updated software and it has not helped at all.

I got the phone unlocked and it worked fine for 3 days then started to come up as no service searching for network I took it back to the shop and they said it needed a technician just trying to save a bit time see if anyone can help me here. The phone works in my house when connected to wifi but no other time I have a blackberry curve 8520 was currently on orange I had it unlocked for o2 it is not blocked or anything?
My blackberry is fully charged and where it shows you how many bars of service you have still says OFF. I've already tried turning it on & off and taking the battery out.
Not too long ago my employer rolled out a two-tiered phone Nextel service for employees. Some get 8350i with a full BB data plan and some get Moto i456 with voice, PTT, MMS, and limited data (feels like GPRS). I am in the latter category. While I have absolutely no justifiable business need for a data plan I despise the crappy i465 with a passion that is difficult to describe.
I thought I would solve my problem by buying a 2nd-hand 8350i on my own dime and just popping the employer-provided SIM card in it. My hope was that I would retain what I need (voice, SMS, PTT) and be on my merry way. However, it appears that I do have voice and PTT but have lost ALL messaging capability, probably because the messaging the BB goes through their own servers and I do not have BB service. Is there any way around this dilemma? I do need both PTT and SMS, and the only two QWERTY devices with PTT capability are the 8350i and the i465.
had to reinstall everything on my phone. I had a backup file from Dec, when everything was working. Everything appeared to install without problem. Now a day later I go to send a Text message and I get this error. No MMS service record. So I check the threads and I notice I have to reinstall the services Books since I am on boost. When I go to services books on my BB it says 5 records. I delete those and copy over the combined 3 which has 23 files. However after they are copied over on the device, the device says 5 files and I get the same error.
My blackberry curve had been working fine up until last night. I tried a few things such as reconnecting to the verizon mobile network, I did a reboot and a few hard reboots, I finally wound up doing a wipe which didn't help either. Before I wiped the bb I ran a diagnostics test and my radio data activation would say no and everything else would be unknown. I have no service books and my host routing table is empty. Yhe blackberry internet server doesnt recognize that the phone is activated. I dont know what else to do, I took it to a local verizon store and he said my software is shot and I need a new phone.
