Xperia Z3 :: Restricted Access Has Been Changed - Data Service Is Blocked
Jun 24, 2015
I have a notification being displayed in my Z3 Dual. The notifications says that Restricted acces has been changed, Data Service is blocked.
It comes from the phone app and I have no data problems with either sim or WIFI and it happens wether stamina mode os ON or OFF... so, what does this mean?
Recently I frequently receive the notification "Restricted access changed" along with "Voice call service blocked". I really don't know what cause such notifications and it is very annoying.
Moreover, when such notifications are received, the signal drops off at the same time. I can't make any phone call or receive any call.
I did update the firmware to 4.4, but the problem still exists.
I had been using the DATA TOGGLE widget for couple days, today strangely the widget was not functioning, it was not possible to turn on/off data. I tried uninstalling the app but still the problem persists. I tried switching off the phone, remove battery didn't work also tried the airplane mode on/off without luck also tried changing the ENABLE DATA in the settings no luck Cleare all current APN's and re installed the APN settings but still the problem persists?
I cannot access certain features (many of which made me buy the phone in the first place). I keep getting a message saying that <The data service is not operational>, nothing tells me how I can make the data service operational and how to get more from my Blackberry and any user guide which describes the Blackberry.
Where I can turn this setting off. It's the symbol of a leaf in the top left corner in the notification bar of the included screen shot. It says background data restricted tap to disable. This just started showing up and I can't figure where the setting can be found.
I have a new T-Mobile S6 Edge and love the phone, but one thing I have not figured out is why I still get background mobile data usage even though I have disabled mobile data and set "restrict background data". Both tuiService and OS services are downloading approximately 100K at a time periodically over mobile data throughout the day even though I have a wifi connection.
Every time my phone wakes up, I receive an error message that the background data is restricted. What sort of things should I be looking for to stop this from happening? Right now I have a smart action running called "Display" that enables the cellular data to run when the screen turns on. With this smart action the notification disappears within 3 seconds. Obviously a better solution would be to keep the alert from appearing at all.
I have a problem with my BlackBerry Internet Service account, I tried to log with too many wrong password so my account is blocked, BlackBerry tell me to wait untill lock end, but I don't know when it will happen ...
since ICS upgrade I have a constant notification that states "background data restricted" touch to remove restriction. does anyone know what this is? Can it be removed permantatly?
I am residing in India and recently purchased a new xperia x10 mini pro....I am trying to access internet through GPRS service of the service provider....wifi is working perfectly but everyplace is not under the network.....I have successfully installed and configured the settings of service provider for access of internet through GPRS and able to run a few webpagessuch as google and facebook on the default web browser of the devicehowever, i am not able to connect certain default applications provided in phone such as gmail, gtalk etc.and even opera mini is not responding toany activity happening through the GPRS..to make certain changes with the settings or perhaps set any settings as default settings for access of interneti already have a wifi enabled network at my home but i want to access internet at my workplace too which is far from the city and is not connectedthrough WIFI
We have free wifi for mobile devices at our workplace. The only problem is that they've restricted the use of Whatsapp. (I'm reluctant to be without it for 9 hours a day since it's my main communication tool with my children). I heard there's a way of changing a setting for whatsapp on your phone that if it can't come through on wifi, then it will automatically switch to your data and messages will be transmitted this way.
I bought a new Neo V and I allow the phone to discharge. I charged the phone and then try to put it back on. The phone is telling me there is no data service and it immediately cuts off.
This question is not specific to the Nexus 6P, but that is the phone I carry. I add 2 or 3 phone numbers (telemarketers) to my blocked call list every week. When a telemarketer calls, I
(1) hang up, (2) go to the call log, (3) tap the call record to expand it, (4) tap "call details", then (5) select "block number."
That's all very simple. The issue is that now that I have dozens or hundreds of blocked numbers , when I miss a call, there's no easy way to see if the missed call was from a number on my blocked list. A missed call from a blocked number looks the same as a missed call from an un-blocked number (unless they're in my contact list). I can scroll through (but not search or sort) my blocked call list by
(1) opening phone app, (2) tapping "Settings" in the primary menu, then (3) tapping "Call Blocking."
This presents a list of all of the numbers that I've ever blocked, but I can't search it and I can't sort it.
in a perfect world, the Call Log would somehow show a flag for missed calls from blocked numbers so that I don't have to search the list to see if the number is blocked. In an even more perfect world, a tap on that number would take me to a detail page showing all the times that number has called and been blocked. Finally, the blocked number list would be both searchable and sortable. I think that most/all of this could be accomplished by a 3d party app - for which I'd gladly pay five bucks. There are lots of call blocking apps on the market, but they all appear to operate separately from the Android native call blocking function.
So my z3's screen broke (again), and I need to get all my information off there, most importantly contacts and text messages. I plug in a usb cable to my pc. The phone comes up in my computer. I open it. There's nothing there. Just the message "this folder is empty."
I have hidden files set as visible, I've tried 3 different usb cords, and reset both devices several times. WHAT DO I DO?
Looks like ios4 has a bad bug. Data roaming can occur even when the option for DR is set to off.
First, my prob. Brand new iPhone 4 set up as new. On first arrival in foreign country, emails start to download, can surf safari, even though no wifi and DR set to off. Problem fixed by turning DR on and off again. Now DR blocked as required.
On a 3GS upgraded to ios4. Same initial probs as above butnpeob persists! Phone continues to download data in background! When safari activated, DR-off message appears but data still downloads. Only way to turn off the DR is to change APN settings.
I turn my 'data access via mobile network' on, but nothing happens and I get NO internet connection. There is no problem with my provider, and my wifi at home still works. I 've had this problem yesterday and now after downloading the new version of android, the problem is still here.
My i phone 5s had all text, calls and data blocked for about 5 hours. While the phone still had service it would not perform any of the mentioned functions. Is there a way to retrieve the texts and phone calls that were sent during this time.
I just updated my phone software to new build number 4.0.2.A.0.62 After the update, access to 3G network was loss.Browsing the web and even the Android market becomes impossible.
I'm having the problem that some of the sites I use are blocked by ISPs in Denmark - torrent sites. Of course I use Googles DNS servers on my home WiFi - problem solved. I would also like to be able to use Googles DNS servers when on mobile data.
I would much rather change some system file that overwrites the APN settings, than install a VPN or DNS changer app.
I changed my Apple ID a few days ago as required and answered the security questions. I am able to access my iCloud account, but cannot access the App Store from my iPhone 4S. I get a message that my password is incorrect.
I have recently changed From O2 to EMobile network and now i can't access my CCTV app over 3G/Edge. "The user is wrong or the authority is insufficient" is the error that comes up. All settings are good as works when connected to wifi at home or work and also still works on my wife's iphone over 3G on O2?
I reset my cellular data usage every month at the beginning of my billing period so that I can keep track of how much data I am using thru out the month. I do not have the unlimited data plan and have gone over a few times. It's usually the last couple days of my billing cycle and I am charged $10 for an extra gig which I barely use 10% of before my usage is restarted for new billing cycle. FYI, they do not carry the remainder of the unused gig that you purchase for $10 which I disagree with. But have accepted. Lol Moving on.
I have two questions. One possibly being answered by the other. 1. Is cellular data used when I sync to iTunes on my home computer to load songs onto my iPhone from my iTunes library(songs that already exist)? 2. What causes the cellular data usage readings in iPhone settings/general/usage/cellular usage to decrease if my last reset has not changed? It is close to end of my billing cycle and I have been keeping close eye. Earlier today it read around 180mb sent/1.2gb received. Now it reads 90mb sent/980 mb recieved. My last reset date reads the same as before. I don't know if my sync and music management had anything to do with the decrease but i didn't notice the decrease until after I had connected to iTunes and loaded music. I should also mention that a 700mb app automatically loaded itself to my phone during the sync process. Is cellular data used at all during any kind of sync /iPhone/iTunes management? Is the cellular data usage reading under iPhone settings a reliable source to keep track of monthly data usage?
what does this mean? i just got my iPhone 4 today and i was on the road (apple store is an hour drive from where i live) and i was texing my friends, had:
celluar data: OFF enable 3g: OFF data roaming: OFF
and i kept getting this response "turn on cellular data or use Wi-FI to access data" anyone know how to fix this? am i suppose to leave Cellular data on? i turned it off because i thought it would be wasting data. (got 200MB plan)
bought a BB Curve 8520 in France with a 24-month subscription. The seller forgot to check the Blackberry Service Option in my file when it is included in the forfait. Therefore, I can not access any Blackberry service.I went in the store but they always tell me to wait. What ? I don't know...Could I do it on your site (with the PIN and IMEI, I also have a statement of compliance in the box)
the service goes out all of a sudden, and i have to switch the phone off and on agin to regain service. this happens in areas where i normally have good service
