Jun 24, 2015I have a notification being displayed in my Z3 Dual. The notifications says that Restricted acces has been changed, Data Service is blocked.Â
It comes from the phone app and I have no data problems with either sim or WIFI and it happens wether stamina mode os ON or OFF... so, what does this mean?

Dec 29, 2014Recently I frequently receive the notification "Restricted access changed" along with "Voice call service blocked". I really don't know what cause such notifications and it is very annoying.

Moreover, when such notifications are received, the signal drops off at the same time. I can't make any phone call or receive any call.
I did update the firmware to 4.4, but the problem still exists.

Apr 25, 2012When I use my iphone4 as a hotspot, I run through all the required settings but my computer does not recognized my iphone4. I check the signal which has 5 bars and AT&T then an "E".. I expected to see a 3G so I reset the system and still received an "E". So my deduction is that the Hotspot will not work without a 3G signal.

Aug 18, 2010I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

May 31, 2010I originally unlocked the phone so i can use it overseas while I was there, the connection was fine and had full signal most of the time. Since my return, my AT&T sim card is not maintaining its network connection, it will display 3g, I would try and go surf the internet, it wouldn't connect and it will go blank (like no service mode) for a few seconds and 3g comes back up. I had to reset my network a few times for the iphone to pick up internet connection. I'm on 3.1.2 with 5.11 modem and old bootrom 3GS. Anyone else is having this issue and how did you solve it? I'm deciding to reflash the phone with 3.1.2 without the unlock to see if this solves the issue, if it does then that means blacksn0w is the crippler that is crippling my AT&T network.

Apr 23, 2012I just added a new iPad to my itunes account and since then my text messaging has gone crazy! We have 2 iphones, 3 ipads and 2 ipods all on one itunes account. When I text my husband, the message sometimes goes to him, but also goes to my son's ipod and other son's ipad. I sometimes recieve texts from my husband's cell number and other times it shows up as my own cell number. Tonight I was texting my sister-in-law and our conversation came across on my husband's phone, and my sister in law said the text came through from an email address instead of my cell number. IPhone :: Network Connection Not Resetting With Water Damaged Phone
Jan 21, 2010So I'm having a few problems with my iPhone. About 30 hours ago, I dropped my phone into a full sink. It was immersed for probably one or two seconds. I made the mistake of trying to turn it on right away, and it started spazzing - i.e. the startup apple icon screen would come on repeatedly and for a while the screen was flickering.
I looked online and followed people's advice of turning it off, letting the battery die, and leaving it in a cool place to dry. Since this morning the phone has been in a bag of rice drying off. I tried plugging it in tonight (impatiently) and to my delight the phone revived itself after charging for about half an hour. I synced it with my iTunes and sent one or two texts with no problems. But almost immediately my signal went down to no bars and I lost 3G connection.
Since then, it was displaying "Searching..." at the top of the screen, and got bursts of connection enough to receive two texts. Literally I would turn my phone on and all the bars would be there, along with 3G, then within a few seconds no bars again. For the last while it's just said "No Service."
I tried resetting the network settings to no avail, took the sim card out and cleaned it lightly with an eraser, nothing. When I go to "Carrier" under settings, it "searches" for, then finds (after a few minutes), my wireless network, but as soon as I leave the page my connection disappears again.
My question is- does anyone know if water damage can cause this particular kind of problem? Even though my phone is working perfectly otherwise (besides a somewhat mottled, water-spotted screen), is it possible that something within the phone was damaged that will not allow me to get a connection? Or could it be the sim card that is damaged?
