BB Torch 9800 :: Internet / Connection - Service Book For Blackberry Internet Service Got Deleted
Aug 18, 2010
I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.
Am on a BIS service plan with Airtel Malawi. My bbm is working fine but my browser is not functioning.Under service status it is showing the following message"Blackberry Internet Service:Connection Not connected".I Went to my service providers they said that they dont know the problem and they can not fix it.They are saying that my device has a problem which they dont know. Please help.
I just bought a unlocked Blackberry from Verizon on Ebay, I live in Brazil so that makes thinks more complicated, anyways, after calling Blackberry and my service provider. I found that my service book has no entries either my host routing table, and when I try to register that host routing table it says that the message has send but nothing happens, I really don't know that to do. In my mind I think that I have to download all the service books again, but I don't know where I can find it. I also tried to register on that BlackBerry Internet Service in my country but I also didn't get results. By the way, the only application that works with the internet is Foursquare. Additional things: they have a plan here in Brazil for Blackberry, I'm already on this plan, but guess what, can't use the internet
When I'm opening Service Status from "Options and Status" I see the "Blackberry Internet Service" as "Not Connected" although I've Blackberry service and I'm successfully using IM, synchronize my E-Mails, and Browsing the internet without any WiFi connection.
after i changed teh carrier provider, my internet emails (yahoo,...etc.) are not accessible & setup email returns the message :internet service account deactivated..Is this something from the service provider or from blackberry; any actions to be done from my side?
The web browser is not working on my Pearl.I am with O2 and have been in the O2 shop for an hour today and on the phone to various people at customer services and still no joy on my Blackberry problem. The internet browser is not working. My e-mail has been set up and i can receive mails only, but not send them. The error code: YOU DO NOT HAVE ANY BROWSER CONFIGURATION SERVICE BOOK ENTRIES, or when I try and send an e-mail, NO MESSAGE SERVICE CONFIGURATION appears, despite re-sending service book codes, plus also turning my phone off, and taking the battery off several times whilst in the O2 shop and then at home when on the phone to customer services. The people at my network are stumped, and so am I!Please, any solutions?
I have been facing this problem this the last couple of months.. whenever I travel and get into the roaming network, my phone doesnt connect to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because of which i cannot use BBM or any other internet based application. As soon as i am in local network, it gets connected to BIS. I have tried everything..data service while roaming is on.. have switched off phone, removed sim and restarted. Last evening I visited Vodafone store, the guy put my sim in another blackberry device and it got connected to BIS. However its doesnt get connected on my device. He suggested me to do a data wipe which I did, still am unable to connect to BIS.
I have nokia 5800. I am able to connect to my office wi-fi with this. And after connecting when I do Start Browsing, I am also able to browse sites successfully. But when I go to home screen -> menu -> internet -> facebook, and try to open it. It shows me "Connecting through AirTel" even though my wi-fi is still connected, this facebook is trying to connect to internet with my service provider internet. Can anybody please tell me how can I educate facebook application to use my wi-fi internet connection and not the service provider one?
I just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
Having a nightmare with my service provider. They say I'm connected with the Blackberry Internet Service but I can't access anything on my phone. They did turn it on but when I was connected I couldn't use my internet/Browser, which meant it was useless anyway! When I asked them to fix this I ended up being disconnected from the BIS again....but again they say I am connected. My service status confirms I'm not connected to the BIS. I've tried numerous battery pulls and I've had their tech support on speed dial for the last week.which has done no good!
So when i go on blackberry.orange.co.uk to register my blackberry so i can use the internet i click new account, enter BB Pin and IMEI numbers then click continue it says "Cannot create account, your device is not registered with your wireless service provider".
So on my BB i go to the Menu > Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Host Routing Table > Menu button > Register new.
It then says "Registration message sent!" but nothing happens and i still can't create account?
I want to change my Emailadresses on my Phone, but I have to fill in a Name and a Password from the Black Berry Internet Service, but i donīt know if i have a Name there, ich donīt know. So i push the button for create a new one. There qou have to fill in the PIn and the IMEI from the telefon, iīve done that, and it says that this handy is registred with a name. So i push the button for forget password, and i have to fill in my Username, but i tastes all the usernames i think its right. It ever shows that the Password is sent to my telefon, but nothing reach me..
I have a Blackberry 9860 with DU sim. In order to have access with instant messaging (BBM, FB, YM), i subscribed to DU's social blackberry service(1.50 aed/day). Usually, once i dont have a load balance, the service will automatically deactivated but once i recharge, the 1.50 aed will automatically deducted and my subscription will be activated. But last wednesday night, it was deactivated since i dont have load balance. That same day, i recharge and was expecting that it will be activated again...But i didnt received any notification that it was activated Until now its not activated. They just keep on telling me to wait and just gave me an exact time and it will be activated again..but nothing happens.
i bought a new unlocked blackberry torch 9800 from ebay yesterday and i inserted my sim card but i could not access the internet. i called my service provider to help me. After all instructions such as going to advanced setting to set up everything, it still did not connect. I put my sim to my former blackberry curve and i could access the internet.
I bought my blakcberry torch a couple of days ago, since then i have signed up for a blackberry ID and registered with my Wifi, this has all worked fine. However, for some reason whenever i go on setup and then email accounts it always says "your device is having problems connecting to the server" whats this all about? Also, whenever i go on BBM and try to invite a friend it says "waitng for authorisation" i'm on contract with BSI included. Additionally i know my friend has not declined my invite cause he said my invite hasnt come through (only been 3 days). Help is needed on this too! And finally, if i go anywhere without wifi i can't access the internet because it says "my service plan doesn't approve internet" literally wtf, blackberry's a far too complicated?!
I did the infamously foolish act of accidentally deleting the service book for my blackberry browser on my bold 9700. I checked other threads but everyones solution seems to work but for me.I think there was two icons, one was named "Browser" and the other "Internet Browser" (Correct me if im wrong.) I somehow deleted the service book for the Internet Browser. My service provider is Vodafone Qatar in the middle east and they are still new. I tried to resend service books and i get a message saying I registered my BB to the server and when I battery pull my BB, only one browser icon is still there. Is there any other way to retrieve/restore that other browser icon? I checked the setting to show all my icons and everything but its not there. (I guess I completely deleted it.
I have a Canadian Rogers Torch 9180, software 126.96.36.199, platfirn 188.8.131.521, available KB 167173.The phone is activated on our cloud Blackberry Administration Service with Exchange 365 and for some reason the CICAL service book is missing on the device so any calendar invites are blank. I have followed BB article KB10594 and on the BAS tried resending the service books. On the device properties it does say that the last transaction was delievered and nothing I can see has failed. Obviously since the CICAL book is missing I am unable to delete and undelete it as per the KB article.
We only have one default IT policy and others are on it without any issues. And yes I have double checked that nothing is disabled in the PIM sync in the policy. We do not have any Groups setup, everyone is under the default group. Not using any other calendar apps on the phone. In the BAS it does say that the Wireless calendar is Disabled but there's no way I can see in the BAS to enable the calendar.
I bought a BB 9650 from the US and am using it in the UK. I bought a 3 pay as you go simcard which has guarenteed me internet access/a data plan. However, every time I attempt to access the internet through my phone, I get a message which states, "This is a Wi-Fi service. Please ensure your device has an active Wi-Fi connection and try again."I am suppose to be able to use internet with 3G and without the use of wifi. Even when I turned off Wi-Fi by goin under "Options" and then "Wi-Fi" and unchecking the two boxes, I cannot get 3G to work. When Wi Fi is on, it only works wherever I pick up signal, but no where else.
I was running on OS 6.248 but now I want to update it to OS 6.546, but I cant cuz everytime i try to update using the desktop software the update stops at 1230 and i get the error "check your internet connection or try again later".My internet connection is fine there's nothing wrong with it.
I sold my at&t bold 9700 and bought a t-mobile version, unlocked it and am using it on at&t and I don't have to pay the ridiculous price of 30 per month for internet service on my phone. really I only need the phone for texting, phone calls listening to music and taking some pictures anywayz. Till phone carriers lower their prices. I will never pay 30 a month for smart phone internet again.
i have a bold 9900 and it seems nearly every bbm stops working. i can still use it through WIFI but it says not connected when not connected to WIFI. i can not get on facebook at all even with WIFI. usually when this happens it starts working again but its been down for over 24hrs now.
I've just switched to a 9900 and I'm having problems with data services. BBM and email works fine, but no other application requiring Internet service does (including application world). I already re-register the headset, got a service book sent and tried several hard reboots, and even reset it to factory settings but nothing seems to fix it. I already contacted my carrier and said that everything should be working fine as I do have internet/data services provisioned.
My blackberry internet service is not working. I have a curve 8250 and I am on a vodafone contract and I do have blackberry plan in my contract so it should work but it keeps saying it is not connected. I connected toa wifi connection yesterday and when I disabled that connection, my BIS did not start up again, i tried a battery pop reboot which didn't help at all, I even ran a diagnostics test and the resutls said as follows:
blackberry registration: no Connected to blackberry:abort blackberry pin-pin:abort
