Am on a BIS service plan with Airtel Malawi.My bbm is working fine but my browser is not functioning.Under service status it is showing the following message"Blackberry Internet Service:Connection Not connected".I Went to my service providers they said that they dont know the problem and they can not fix it.They are saying that my device has a problem which they dont know.Please help.
View 2 RepliesI got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have been facing this problem this the last couple of months.. whenever I travel and get into the roaming network, my phone doesnt connect to the Blackberry Internet Service (BIS) because of which i cannot use BBM or any other internet based application. As soon as i am in local network, it gets connected to BIS. I have tried everything..data service while roaming is on.. have switched off phone, removed sim and restarted. Last evening I visited Vodafone store, the guy put my sim in another blackberry device and it got connected to BIS. However its doesnt get connected on my device. He suggested me to do a data wipe which I did, still am unable to connect to BIS.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Blackberry 9860 with DU sim. In order to have access with instant messaging (BBM, FB, YM), i subscribed to DU's social blackberry service(1.50 aed/day). Usually, once i dont have a load balance, the service will automatically deactivated but once i recharge, the 1.50 aed will automatically deducted and my subscription will be activated. But last wednesday night, it was deactivated since i dont have load balance. That same day, i recharge and was expecting that it will be activated again...But i didnt received any notification that it was activated Until now its not activated. They just keep on telling me to wait and just gave me an exact time and it will be activated again..but nothing happens.

I have a BB Torch 9860 which connects to my home Wifi fine but does not connect to the internet for some reason. I cannot access the net and get my emails or use a 3rd party browser like opera nor can i do anything. This is a major concern for me as it doesn't matter when i am home but it's amjor concern when i travel abroad.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI have nokia 5800. I am able to connect to my office wi-fi with this. And after connecting when I do Start Browsing, I am also able to browse sites successfully. But when I go to home screen -> menu -> internet -> facebook, and try to open it. It shows me "Connecting through AirTel" even though my wi-fi is still connected, this facebook is trying to connect to internet with my service provider internet. Can anybody please tell me how can I educate facebook application to use my wi-fi internet connection and not the service provider one?

The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
I already have a blackberry internet data plan but I can't connect to google or any apps.

Upon accessing the mobileemail.vodafone.net site, when i enter my IMEI and pin it states my account is de-activated or suspended - upon browsing the web this usually happens with phones bought from ebay/stolen phones. Note-This is a brand new handset, direct from Vodafone.My account is fine, Vodafone can see no problem and have now told me they are out of answers.

This is getting really anoying. From time to time, any of the apps I use (from the official Internet browser, to Foursqure, Opera Mini, Gmail, or any other that need Internet access for that matter) don't even give me the dialogue to chose an Internet connection. I just get a message: Unable to connect to Internet.
I'm pretty sure all my settings are ok, especially because this happens sometimes (from never per day to always per day/session) and there are no rules when it starts working again. Sometimes it needs a few phone restarts, sometimes it just need some time.
So basically, the applications don't try to evoke Internet access. Even if I already have a constant Wi-Fi connection, they still don't see it "or even try to do so by asking".
My girlfriend has a BB Curve 9300, it was working all fine on the OS5. Last weekend she asked me if i could update her software, and i did so from the Blackberry Desktop Software and updated to OS6. Everything was working fine until we found out that it only connects to the internet if i use data service, but i dont want to because we have wi-fi at home. When i turn data services and while roaming OFF, and put wi-fi preferred, and when i try to open a web page in the browser it pop ups a window saying "Data Services are disabled. Go to Mobile Network to enable".

My internet connection was not working properly, it keeps on loading the apps I am accessing but the contents were not loaded. I already asked this to my network center which is GLOBE/TM and as per their analysis, there is no problem with my sim, it has the correct settings and connection. I can see also a connection logo on my phone, and the connection speed is HSDPA. I also tried to factory reset my phone, it work but then stop again from connecting.

They did turn it on but when I was connected I couldn't use my internet/Browser, which meant it was useless anyway! When I asked them to fix this I ended up being disconnected from the BIS again....but again they say I am connected. My service status confirms I'm not connected to the BIS. I've tried numerous battery pulls and I've had their tech support on speed dial for the last week.which has done no good!
View 2 Replies View RelatedSo when i go on blackberry.orange.co.uk to register my blackberry so i can use the internet i click new account, enter BB Pin and IMEI numbers then click continue it says "Cannot create account, your device is not registered with your wireless service provider".
So on my BB i go to the Menu > Options > Device > Advanced System Settings > Host Routing Table > Menu button > Register new.
It then says "Registration message sent!" but nothing happens and i still can't create account?
