BB Torch :: Wifi Internet Connection Unable To Connect?
Nov 19, 2011I have a BB Torch 9860 which connects to my home Wifi fine but does not connect to the internet for some reason. I cannot access the net and get my emails or use a 3rd party browser like opera nor can i do anything. This is a major concern for me as it doesn't matter when i am home but it's amjor concern when i travel abroad.

Dec 5, 2012Am on a BIS service plan with Airtel Malawi.My bbm is working fine but my browser is not functioning.Under service status it is showing the following message"Blackberry Internet Service:Connection Not connected".I Went to my service providers they said that they dont know the problem and they can not fix it.They are saying that my device has a problem which they dont know.Please help.

Sep 3, 2010Really loving this phone (8520) and a massive leap from my last phone.
Having trouble with connecting to my or my works wifi. It registers both routers and displays the name across at the top of the phone and in wifi settings I have a black square with a white dash line and a green wifi symbol.
I have a Asda pay as you go sim which is fine for the calls text etc but I hearing not so good for the Internet.
I have managed to get the browser going with the Hotspot setting but I'm guessing this isn't using my home wifi as it as slow as a snail and keeps cutting out.
Without Hotspot enabled it tries to use VodaphoneLive and I get the message "unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider"

Jan 24, 2011I have a blackberry torch 9800, I don't have a data plan. I use a wifi signal with other phones, but my blackberry doesn't allow me to browse or view apps online. The error "unable to connect to the internet please try again later" appears. The phone has a clear signal of the wifi, i've tried various other hotspots, my other phones work perfectly. The blackberry says it's connected to the wifi, but no internet browsing is possible. What else can I do other than rip the battery out to re-boot?

Aug 22, 2011I have been having troubles with my Torch's browser ever since I got the phone several months ago. When I try to loads pages it will maybe load 1 or 2 pages, then just time out and bring up the message - "unable to connect to internet please try again later,if the problem persists please contact your service provider."I have full coverage at the time when I am trying to load the pages. It happens on most pages I try loading, sometimes they load, sometimes they dont. I used to have to empty the cache memory, and then turn the phone on and off again to get it working again, but now even that doesnt work. Theres no software upgrades available according to my Blackberry Desktop Software.

Aug 14, 2012I have a Blackberry 9860 with DU sim. In order to have access with instant messaging (BBM, FB, YM), i subscribed to DU's social blackberry service(1.50 aed/day). Usually, once i dont have a load balance, the service will automatically deactivated but once i recharge, the 1.50 aed will automatically deducted and my subscription will be activated. But last wednesday night, it was deactivated since i dont have load balance. That same day, i recharge and was expecting that it will be activated again...But i didnt received any notification that it was activated Until now its not activated. They just keep on telling me to wait and just gave me an exact time and it will be activated again..but nothing happens.

From time to time, any of the apps I use (from the official Internet browser, to Foursqure, Opera Mini, Gmail, or any other that need Internet access for that matter) don't even give me the dialogue to chose an Internet connection. I just get a message: Unable to connect to Internet.
I'm pretty sure all my settings are ok, especially because this happens sometimes (from never per day to always per day/session) and there are no rules when it starts working again. Sometimes it needs a few phone restarts, sometimes it just need some time.
So basically, the applications don't try to evoke Internet access. Even if I already have a constant Wi-Fi connection, they still don't see it "or even try to do so by asking".

Apr 9, 2012My girlfriend has a BB Curve 9300, it was working all fine on the OS5. Last weekend she asked me if i could update her software, and i did so from the Blackberry Desktop Software and updated to OS6. Everything was working fine until we found out that it only connects to the internet if i use data service, but i dont want to because we have wi-fi at home. When i turn data services and while roaming OFF, and put wi-fi preferred, and when i try to open a web page in the browser it pop ups a window saying "Data Services are disabled. Go to Mobile Network to enable".

My internet connection was not working properly, it keeps on loading the apps I am accessing but the contents were not loaded. I already asked this to my network center which is GLOBE/TM and as per their analysis, there is no problem with my sim, it has the correct settings and connection. I can see also a connection logo on my phone, and the connection speed is HSDPA. I also tried to factory reset my phone, it work but then stop again from connecting.

Aug 18, 2010I got my torch 9800 on launch day. i loved this device and definately felt like i was upgrading from my old device (iphone 3g). as much as i love the capabilities of the device i have run into a few issues, specifically network issues. it all started on sunday when all of a sudden i lost connection to the blackberry servers(the little logo in the corner was gone..) i went to at&t on monday and they could not figure it out. apparently my service book for the blackberry internet service got deleted(i didnt even know what a servicebook was lol) so i went home later that night and downnloaded the at&t software and reinstalled the os and this worked. then all of a sudden today, my fb was acting up, so i deleted the app. then i lost the connection again... do you guys have any idea what could be causing this? im currently reinstalling the os as i write this.

I have configured the correct access point of my ISP, but still I get a reply of "Browsing over the mobile internet is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web, you must use Wi-Fi or contact your service provider to change your service plan".When I remove the SIM card fro the black berry and use it in another device, I can access internet.

I have got settings from reliance from GPRS, WAP and MMS setting.The problem faced is whenever, I connect to opera mini browser, it connecting for 3 minutes and shows failed to connect to the internet. Dec 6, 2011I recently deactivated my Blackberry Bold 9000 (v4.6.0.304 operating system) from AT&T since I ported my cell phone number to US Cellular who had better coverage in my region. I'd like to continue using my Blackberry Bold 9000 as a free wi-fi only internet access device and install the Google Voice app so my kids could text message and make phone calls via the Google Voice app and phone's wi-fi connection. While my BB Bold is able to connect to our home wi-fi network like in the past it doesn't successfully connect to the internet and gives me the following message: "Unable to connect to the internet, please try again later."
