BB Bold :: Unable To Use Internet Connection On 9900?
Oct 18, 2012
there is a 3G internet connection on my SIM card. I used to access the internet on another apparatus. After starting to use the blackberry, I cannot access internet on my blackberry. I have configured the correct access point of my ISP, but still I get a reply of "Browsing over the mobile internet is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web, you must use Wi-Fi or contact your service provider to change your service plan".When I remove the SIM card fro the black berry and use it in another device, I can access internet.
I am using a Blackberry Bold 9780 for 10 months now, offlate having a difficulty connecting to the internet using Wifi connectivitty. I have not updated any software ever. The device shows it is connected to the Wifi router but when I try to open any websites, returns a blank page.
i have just got the new Bold 9900 and paired/connected it to my bluetooth in the car. i've had multiple blackberry phones and never had an issue. now i find that when i start the car and the device is found, the car (not the phone) starts a call to a number. the log on the RIM site said it was a known issue and had been escalated internally.
I am currently unable to connection to my internet hub. Why is this as i have tried numerous different ways to resolve the problem, like attempting to restart the connection, reset my device, restarted my mobile connections, ect. to no good.
My new 9900 will not keep it's network connection even though the signal is full. Once the connection is re-turned on it lasst about a minute before it goes 'off". I cant use the phone!!! the network assures me that the problem is not on their side...phone is brand new!
I have a BB Torch 9860 which connects to my home Wifi fine but does not connect to the internet for some reason. I cannot access the net and get my emails or use a 3rd party browser like opera nor can i do anything. This is a major concern for me as it doesn't matter when i am home but it's amjor concern when i travel abroad.
Really loving this phone (8520) and a massive leap from my last phone.
Having trouble with connecting to my or my works wifi. It registers both routers and displays the name across at the top of the phone and in wifi settings I have a black square with a white dash line and a green wifi symbol.
I have a Asda pay as you go sim which is fine for the calls text etc but I hearing not so good for the Internet.
I have managed to get the browser going with the Hotspot setting but I'm guessing this isn't using my home wifi as it as slow as a snail and keeps cutting out.
Without Hotspot enabled it tries to use VodaphoneLive and I get the message "unable to connect to the Internet, please try again later. If the problem persists please contact your service provider"
Had Horrendous Pop3 problems with BTInternet so set up Forwarding of emails to other addresses hosted by Just Host. All seemed well until I tried to email my wife (BT FWD'd address) from my Blackberry 9900 - it kept bouncing. If I email the address the Forwarding is going to at Just Host or email from my laptop no problems. Just Host looked at the failure message and suggested contacting Blackberry and BT. But HTF do I contact support at Blackberry? This is the most recent failure message with some deletions.

In august I bought the new Bold 9900, and suddenly my internet usage went up from 80Mb in a month to 80Mb in a week. I don't use my phone in a different way (no new apps,..) and I still use internet as I did before.
what I should do with this? My provider has a 200Mb limit..
I imported B Berry Bold 9650 from America and everything worked well with the local network provider for more than a year. On July 25 th my internet connection stopped working. My network provider says they did a network upgrade and all foreign phones are now unable to connect to the internet. They say their is nothing that they can do for me. Just before my ph was disconnected I tried to download the Blackberry App World Version 220.127.116.11 Could this have caused the problem?
My Blackberry Bold 9900 connects to internet both through wi-fi and 3G/edge (w/ caps) and receives emails, but can't open web browser, facebook, twitter, bbm, app world,.. for the last couple of days (I think after I upgraded couple of applications).
I have recently changed my email address and need to update this on my Bold 9900. I go in to Setup > Email Accounts and tap/click on Internet Mail Account, however it does nothing. I have previously used this feature to add/amend email details. It allows me to click on Enterprise Account, but when I click on Internet Mail Account nothing happens. Have rebooted device a couple of times and get the same problem.
I have many problems by every next day I have new BB Bold9900. While I can browse Internet through wifi (which is interesting cause it loves to freeze), I cannot use BB app world, cause it says my device is not connected to the wireless network. The same thing with FB application. I simply cannot connect to Internet although I already am connected, and my phone even shows full signal, network name, etc. Is there any solution which will make it possible to comfortably use BB????
I'm currently travelling and it is cheaper to use a local '3' 3G dongle for my laptop rather than my phone. I was wondering what the easiest way to get my blackberry to connect to the internet using my netbooks (win xp) connection? I would like to use BB Messenger for free. There doesn't seem to be a easy way to do it, I've tried Bluetooth and ICS but with no luck.
Every so often the internet connection on my phone will stop responding, just sits on the browser with "connecting". If I go to the the app world I can successfully download an application without any problems. t purely seems to be the browser that gets stuck, doing a hard reset will fix the issue, clearning the cache, history, pushed content will not fix it. ny ideas as having to do a hard restart to get my browser working is getting tiresome. I have the blackberry 9900 and want to turn off the network internet services without turning off the wifi function. My mobile carrier is vodafone and even when I am connected to wifi, my credit is being used up. How do I disable the internet function but still use wifi? When I try disabling data services, wifi doesnt connect at all?
Laptop: Acer Aspire 5002WLMi, Windows XP SP2 Smartphone: Blackberry Bold 9700 Network Device: Bluetooth, Wifi (ad-hoc not available for bold 9700?)
I am using my laptop for traveling and I use USB CDMA modem connection to connect to the internet. Recently my wife bought a Blackberry bold 9700 hoping that she could access internet without carrying her laptop while traveling with me, sharing the same connection from my laptop. I have been trying to use WiFi to connect my bold 9700 with my laptop using ad-hoc but it seems that bold 9700 does not support ad-hoc. Therefore I am trying another way to connect to the internet from my BB using my Bluetooth. I have linked my blackberry device through bluetooth and my laptop is currently connected to the internet.
I have been trying to use my wife's BB to connect to the internet using my laptop's bluetooth connection. But I could not get it to work. Before posting here, I have been searching everywhere on the web for a guide but I could not seems to find one. Could anyone guide me on how to share my laptop internet connection so that my BB could access the web using the same connection as my laptop? If bluetooth and WiFi doesn't work is there any other way? Using USB perhaps? In short: Laptop internet Connection > Share using ? and how? > BB's can browse the web without additional data plan.
I just got my new Bold9700 and am trying to set it up and failing completely. Part of this may be because I am in Costa Rica. The primary problem is that it is connecting to a WiFi network, but not to a BlackBerry Internet Service. I have a data plan, I am linked to a network here (called I.C.E), and I am connected to a WiFi network, but it will not open due to the lack of Internet Service connection.
My phone is apparently locked, but I am using a USA SIM card, not a Costa Rican one. Do I need to unlock my phone in order to connect to the Internet Server here? As a result of this connection, I also cannot access email or set up BBM.
While I've seen the release of the software online, my software update shows the message: "your blackberry is up to date" while my software version is 7.0.0 bundle 1346. I have sent the device to the dealer, tried online solutions and couldn't do it. The bizarre thing is that others having the same device are able to update to 7.1 while I can't.
Iam using blackberry bold 9900 . Iam not able to login with blackberry id login its giving a message " unable to login to your blackberry ID account " . But i can login to my account through website but can not login through the phone.
I received a Bold 9900 handset via RIM EPP program. It came with installed software version 7.0 Bundle 2395(v. 188.8.131.529, Platform 184.108.40.2065). I am having trouble with using Appworld and among other things sudden resets to handset. Have tried couple of time to upgrade the handset to 7.1 software using both desktop manager as well as OTA mode, it always tells me you have latest build installed. if there is a way to update this handset as it is not working very well for me at present.
