Nov 18, 2011this bb bold 9900 is my first bb. been using this for the past 2 months and was great. suddenly over these past few days, sometimes i cant get data conection. ping and dns lookup is ok.

BB Bold :: Car Bluetooth Connection With 9900?
Oct 23, 2012i have just got the new Bold 9900 and paired/connected it to my bluetooth in the car. i've had multiple blackberry phones and never had an issue. now i find that when i start the car and the device is found, the car (not the phone) starts a call to a number.
the log on the RIM site said it was a known issue and had been escalated internally.

Nov 25, 2011My new 9900 will not keep it's network connection even though the signal is full. Once the connection is re-turned on it lasst about a minute before it goes 'off". I cant use the phone!!! the network assures me that the problem is not on their side...phone is brand new!

Oct 18, 2012there is a 3G internet connection on my SIM card. I used to access the internet on another apparatus. After starting to use the blackberry, I cannot access internet on my blackberry. I have configured the correct access point of my ISP, but still I get a reply of "Browsing over the mobile internet is not included as part of your current service plan. To browse the web, you must use Wi-Fi or contact your service provider to change your service plan".When I remove the SIM card fro the black berry and use it in another device, I can access internet.

Sep 6, 2012Am using the bb bold9900. I suddenly lost all data pictures,videos and music files.Am able to take pictures and the camera captures as normal but then the pic is not saved strangely enough the total number reduces and no picture saved. Same happens for music files or videos downlaoded or received via either bluetooth or email.Another strange thing is I still have pictures attached to contacts and the ringtone for my profileOther than that everything works well.

Nov 10, 2011My daughter has just upgraded from a curve 8520 to a Bold9900 the problem is she has used over her limit of 500mb of data in under a month, she mosty uses facebook, but is not doing anything different from when she had her curve, we cannot understand how she is using so much data we have checked her bill and some days it is saying 30 mb of data which we thought was impossible, could anyone help me to sort out this problem, we have wifi in the house and have set her blackberry so she can use this at home but it stops her from sending or receiving messages and calls.

Oct 21, 2012I got a replacement Bold 9900 when my previous one developed hardware issues. I transferred the SIM card to the new phone which is now operational. I also did a backup restore which retrieved my Contacts, WiFi and other data but not pictures and files. So, I tried to connect to my old device with a USB cable; this prompts me to sign-in which does not work I think because the SIM card is not there(?)
Is it possible that I connect to my old phone as a USB device when it does not have a SIM card?

Dec 29, 2011I am trying to back up all my data before doing a security swipe (impossible to connect to BBID and this seems to be the only solution...) but Blackberry Protect isn't working online (it says my phone is busy and the back up cannot be completed).I've tried to back up via my software but none of my contacts, pics, calendars or tasks appear when I click on the logo. I cannot even update the phone's software as nothing seems to work... I cannot use my phone properly and there is no way to call IRM (O2 said they could not help, great...).

Jan 29, 2012After putting my phone on charge last night, I woke up to my 9900 with a blank screen and a red light that blinks every couple of seconds. No amount of battery pulls would fix the problem. Upon researching for a solution I discovered that this issue is actually a very common problem with the 9900. At this rate, I don't really care about recovering my phone as it seems that the model is entirely unreliable anyway. Just want to know if anybody with this issue has been successful in retrieving files stored on their device. I recorded some important videos a few days back, and stupidly saved it directly onto the device instead of the memory card. Desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone with or without the battery inserted.

Jun 6, 2010I have a 9700 on swisscom, and I have a problem. My phone used to connect to the 3G Network and BIS perfectly fine until about 5 weeks ago. It still connects to the 3G, but the symbol stays small (no data/no bis). If I turn the network settings to 2G only, I have no trouble connecting to the BIS and Data, and I also don't drop the signal. The wierd thing is that it used to work perfectly and now 3G just doesent properly work.I have tried everything I can think of, I bought a new sim card, reloaded preveious OS versions where It worked on, resend registration message, deleted my bis and so on. What else could I try? as this is 3G phone and I want to use 3G.

I don't know why it does it, I had no problem with my bold 9000, but since I changed to 9700 I also changed my phone operator..Or maybe It's due to my faceplate change and I screwed myself not moving certain parts to the new faceplate..
