View 1 RepliesGot a new BB 9900 and cant connect to any of my emails or social networking. It says that i need to contact my provider.Done that and they dont know what the problem is or are taking forever to get back to me.I have reset the phone several times done the security wipe and nothing has worked. Also did the routing table and recieved the reg from RIM but still not working..
View 1 Replies View RelatedI just received as a gift for my birthday a BlackBerry Bold 9900 . I previously owned a Blackberry Bold 9000. Now I can't activate the blackberry services on the new phone. I have followed all the steps (used the desktop app to transfer the data from the old phone to the new one), moved the SIM card but I still can't set up the email or use BBM.I spoke to the service provider here in Romania (orange) and did everything they said (to go to blackberry. orange.com and change the model of the phone, to go to Host Routing Table and use the Register Now tool) but I didn't manage to solve the problem. If I insert the SIM card into the old phone everything works perfect.Also when I try to create a new account for the new phone on url... using the PIN and IMEI from the new phone I get the message - "Cannot create account: Your BlackBerry® Internet Service Account is suspended or deactivated"

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter my most recent sync with my Toshiba Satellite laptop, all of my old appointments disappeared. I think that there was an option to do this and I am sure that I did not do this intentionally. It has never happened before on previous syncs. I am running software 7.1 Bundle 998 but do not have Outlook on my laptop. I am pretty sure everything is backed up in a .bbb file from the date of this sync. The question is how do I restore all of these old appointments to my calendar from this file or elsewhere.

I have tried to delete and readd it, it was there before but then I had to take my phone in to get fixed because it kept rebooting everytime I put it on a hard surface. It keeps coming back with 'no message services configured. You will be redirected to the setup wizard to setup your email' but it is already set up it just wont connect/link.

Ran the Show Icon procedure. Turned it off and on.Turned the phone lock off and on.Checked Manage connections and all good.

My mobile carrier is vodafone and even when I am connected to wifi, my credit is being used up. How do I disable the internet function but still use wifi? When I try disabling data services, wifi doesnt connect at all?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI wanted to disable all data on the bb 9700 (OS 5.545?) and only use it as a phone/SMS.Question is i went into mobile network and i set Data Services to OFF.But i also read online that if its GSM it should change from EDGE to edge, and 3G to 3g.Well anyways on this phone its still saying 3G even tho data is OFF.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI am using a blackberry bold 9700 V5.0.0.862. My phone is unlocked and I am using it on the Fido network. I was away for 5 weeks, and while away I used a simcard from that country in my phone. When I got back to Canada, I put in my fido sim card and the internet was not working. I called Fido and they did a reset on my phone and still no data.
The tech did some trouble shooting as well as gave me the Fido APN info, I did the host routing table reset and still nothing. I have no idea what the problem could be but Fido has told me there is nothing else that they can do, as I am using an unlocked device. I cannot connect to the internet, my BBM does not work, and I am not receieving emails. I can make phone calls and send texts. I have pulled the battery out many times. My phone says 3G.I don't know if some of the setting on my phone locked from using the international sim, if my sim is corrupted, or if I need a new phone.
I am having issues with my 9790 after upgrading the os to 7.1. I cant access any data services with my carrier?
View 1 Replies View RelatedI've just switched carriers as I've moved to Barbados, but when i try to activate the data on my phone with the new sim, it says the phone is incompatible with the service.I was advised by the new carrier to cancel the old data plan (which was prepaid so i had just forgotten about it) and to try again. It's still not working.

I suddenly lost all data pictures,videos and music files.Am able to take pictures and the camera captures as normal but then the pic is not saved strangely enough the total number reduces and no picture saved. Same happens for music files or videos downlaoded or received via either bluetooth or email.Another strange thing is I still have pictures attached to contacts and the ringtone for my profileOther than that everything works well.

View 7 Replies View RelatedMy daughter has just upgraded from a curve 8520 to a Bold9900 the problem is she has used over her limit of 500mb of data in under a month, she mosty uses facebook, but is not doing anything different from when she had her curve, we cannot understand how she is using so much data we have checked her bill and some days it is saying 30 mb of data which we thought was impossible, could anyone help me to sort out this problem, we have wifi in the house and have set her blackberry so she can use this at home but it stops her from sending or receiving messages and calls.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI got a replacement Bold 9900 when my previous one developed hardware issues. I transferred the SIM card to the new phone which is now operational. I also did a backup restore which retrieved my Contacts, WiFi and other data but not pictures and files. So, I tried to connect to my old device with a USB cable; this prompts me to sign-in which does not work I think because the SIM card is not there(?)
Is it possible that I connect to my old phone as a USB device when it does not have a SIM card?
I am trying to back up all my data before doing a security swipe (impossible to connect to BBID and this seems to be the only solution...) but Blackberry Protect isn't working online (it says my phone is busy and the back up cannot be completed).I've tried to back up via my software but none of my contacts, pics, calendars or tasks appear when I click on the logo. I cannot even update the phone's software as nothing seems to work... I cannot use my phone properly and there is no way to call IRM (O2 said they could not help, great...).

View 9 Replies View RelatedAfter putting my phone on charge last night, I woke up to my 9900 with a blank screen and a red light that blinks every couple of seconds. No amount of battery pulls would fix the problem. Upon researching for a solution I discovered that this issue is actually a very common problem with the 9900. At this rate, I don't really care about recovering my phone as it seems that the model is entirely unreliable anyway. Just want to know if anybody with this issue has been successful in retrieving files stored on their device. I recorded some important videos a few days back, and stupidly saved it directly onto the device instead of the memory card. Desktop manager doesn't recognize the phone with or without the battery inserted.

Although I have a password lock on it and my Mum called up the company to lock the phone I am worried that the persona will attempt at the password more than 10 times which would cause my phone to wipe everything. I have just about everything on the phone that I need for my lessons and also notes/planning on a couple of my subjects so I was wondering if its possible to recover it if the person does wipe the phone....

I then decided to purchase a 9930 to be safe, but am having difficulties connecting it to my Brazilian phone provider (the data does not work, but voice is good). confirm that the 9930 really only adds CDMA technology to the 9900 and should be working with my Brazilian GSM provider?
