BB Bold :: 9900 - Old Appointments Disappeared After Sync
Jul 26, 2010
After my most recent sync with my Toshiba Satellite laptop, all of my old appointments disappeared. I think that there was an option to do this and I am sure that I did not do this intentionally. It has never happened before on previous syncs. I am running software 7.1 Bundle 998 but do not have Outlook on my laptop. I am pretty sure everything is backed up in a .bbb file from the date of this sync. The question is how do I restore all of these old appointments to my calendar from this file or elsewhere.
my BB Bold 9900 (under new OS 7 of course) but I was wondering if there was a possibility to display more than 3 upcoming appointments when you are in the "calendar" pane or screen ... I'm not sure about the official name: it's the one appearing when you hit the top central bar of the main screen to visualise the incoming messages. Then, underneath, you get the next 3 appointments from your calendar. In fact I would like to get a "longer view" on my upcoming appointments than just 3 which seems to be a kind of default setting. Can we change this setting?
I have a BOLD 9900 that it's phone button does not work and the phone Icon has disappeared. All other apps work.I have taken the battery out and reinserted. Ran the Show Icon procedure. Turned it off and on.Turned the phone lock off and on.Checked Manage connections and all good.
The text message icon on my blackberry bold 9900 disappeared suddenly. Perhaps, it must been inadvertently deleted or moved to another folder. However, I've tried searching for it without any success. how to get the text message icon restored?
I got a new bold 9900 2 days ago, all was going well, but when I open an email, I don't see the options create, send, forward reply etc, I have to go via the blackberry button?
My PC Sync has stopped synchronizing appointments. As far as I am aware I have not changed any settings.I synchronize appointments and contacts between my Nokia 6230i and Outlook 2007 via bluetooth.Contacts still work OK but when trying to synchronize appointments PC Sync just sits there saying "reading appointments" without proceeding.I can open up in Outlook the calendar I am synchronizing with.I have tried creating a new configuration through PC Sync but that does not resolve anything. The calendar I wish to synchronize up with does appear in the list of calendars to select.
Just upgraded to latest OS. Now BB calendar does not update in Outlook. (although outlook does update on BB).also get error message "Connector specific error"
I've been working on this now (i.e., researching blogs, google, etc.) for hours and it is NOT going well! I have a new Blackberry Bold 9900 that I need to sync with MS Office Outlook 2007, particularly the contacts and calendar. I am using OS7.1 Bundle 921 (v 7.1.0.267 Platform 5.1.0.230) and Desktop Manager. The config setting in DM for Contacts Account shows only Windows Contacts, with no option to change to Outlook. When I then attempt to sync, the process wants to add all the contacts in my BB to some unknown address book on the computer. My BB shows my BB contacts as "default", whatever that is. My frustration is mounting exponentially. I am a converted iPhone user that really wants to give RIM a chance, but this isn't going so well.
I set up the VPN and synch the calendar with our company's Exchange server. I have no information about the Exchange server, and no way to make or suggest any changes to it. In short, the company has blackberries tied to the server, and doesn't want to support employees using iphones to get email and calendar info.
Even so, the sync was working; I checked that it synced in both directions - appointments entered in exchange came to my phone, and appointments entered on my phone got added to the Exchange calendar. I set the calendar to have yellow dots next to the appointments to tell them from my personal appointments. Then today I turned on the VPN, opened the calendar, and all my new appointments I had entered on my phone throughout the day were deleted. Appointments that show up are now marked blue, and all my yellow appointments are gone.
Since I don't use iCloud and hadn't plugged into iTunes, I'm assuming those appointments are irretrieveably lost Did the admin change the Exchange server or did I somehow mess up by assigning a color to the calendar other than the default?
When I put an appointment in outlook for a set period (i.e. between two dates) every time I sync with my android calendar using Kies the appointment looses it's date range. The sync process either syncs the start day as start and end or bizarrely, puts the end date one day ahead of the start date!!I installed the 3rd party 'Business Calendar' and this displays in exactly the same way.
I have a BB Bold 9900, i need to sync the contacts from the device to outlook 2010. I have disabled wireless sync for the contacts from the device. Once i start the sync, i get the message saying "Check permission on exchange and try again". what i need to do on outlook to get this done.
The sync process between iPhone and Outlook 2003 does not add new appointments entered in Outlook to transfer to iPhone. I have tried all the steps in Apple Support including uninstalling and reinstalling iTunes. I have checked the boxes in iTunes - Device - Info - Advanced to "Replace information on this iPhone" "Calendars". Still no luck???
Following the latest software upgrade I get the message when trying to sync my Bold 9900: "Caught_com_error exception. Description():-2147023151 (0x800706D1): ErrorMessage(): The procedure number is out of range.source()null)".
When syncing with BB desktop software, addresses sync fine but Caledar will not. It stops cold stating "Connector Specific Error". And nothing else.Have reset it several times but it does not help.
i've got a brand new bold 9900, recently upgraded to the latest OS7 version. However when trying to sync by BBerry Desktop Software it starts ok but suddenly pops "error trying to open the device data base", then jumps to the next screen and finishes the whole process.
I realized that TASKS app doesn't work on my device. It prompts the error "Uncaught exception: java.lang.ArrayIndexOutOfBoundsException".
When I sync iPhone calendars (Outlook) using iTunes none of the appointments made on the phone transfer to laptop. Appts made on laptop do transfer to iPhone. How can I fix this so both update?
I have lost the ability to send calendar appointments to other users? I am able to receive them and accept/decline etc, however all they get from me is a word type document?
I'm trying to sync calendar with Funambol versus SyncML MDaemon server. No problem with general appointments, but with "all-day" ones the BB set them 1 day before the right date. Outlook holidays and birthdays are also affected (they are in fact "all-day" appointments). All other appointments are setup correctly with date and time. Only "all-day" ones!I've checked the timezone of my BB, server and MDaemon application: all are set at same GMT+1.
I have my calendar option set to keep appointments for 15 days and my Outlook to only sync future appointments. However, my appointments stay in my BB way past the 15 days and I have to go in and manually delete them.
When I synch with Outlook, the synch deletes past calendar events. How do I set the settings so that my past appointments and calendar events are not deleted?
We have began to implement the mobile version of the Sage Sales Logix application on Blackberry Bold devices and we are having an issue with calendar appointments being created on the BB inside this app are not holding the correct time when the client version of this application is accessed. We have tried to work with Sage support on this issue, but they think this is a setting issue on the actual device.
My Blackberry Bold 9900 is not turning on.Details: A battery pull has not fixed my problem.I tried using another 9900 battery, however it did not work.My battery does not work on other 9900 devices. There are no signs of moisture, nor has there been contact with water. The LED light doesn't show, nor does anything on the screen.
